Parkside Animal Health Center, Inc Review

During this time of shutdown for COVID-19, there were 2 very young female cats who lives in our neighborhood who got pregnant. Since the DDFL had suspended the mobile spay program,Dr Eisenhower was so great to perform this surgical procedure so we would not have more homeless kittens in the neighborhood, at a very affordable price. She and her staff were just wonderful and caring. I would highly recommend this clinic!

I really love this office. The vets often sit on the floor to do their physical exam with my lab mix, which he loves. Since covid, he has gleefully gone in with the tech without giving me a 2nd look so I know he gets attention from everyone and doesn't mind the visit. He had surgery a few months ago and the surgeon was unbelievably available for questions at any time and very gracious with my nerves. She really seemed to understand this was my baby she was taking care of. He recovered well and I'm very grateful. I can't say enough good things about this office!

1. They neutered my first dog when he was only 6 months old. I didn't know any better and didn't think to research this, but it turns out you're NOT suppose to touch them, especially males, until they're at least 12 months old. Trusted the vet and made a mistake that I can't fix now.
2. Brought another dog to them (my in-laws'), it was old and was in pain, they couldn't figure out what's wrong with it, but told us the dog seemed OK (not dying or anything). Gave some medicine to give to the dog, a few days later the dog died. Not putting them at fault or anything, just sharing my experience.
We haven't been back there since, and never will.

Dr. Eisenhauer is the best. Her and her staff go out of their way to make sure your pet is comfortable and healthy.

All of the staff love animals. I tried two previous vets after moving to the area. I wasn't a fan of either one. Parkside Animal was great. I really feel as though they are about my pets as much as I do. Their prices are reasonable too.

Great doctors and staff who are very caring and knowledgeable. No pressure medical care is also great and important to us.

Best vet practice. Very thorough and customer friendly. Even with the pandemic protocols in place they made every effort to make sure I was aware of my fur babies annual physicals and updated vaccinations. I highly recommend this vet clinic!

I've been taking my dog, Chewy, here for years! We've seen multiple vets and vet techs and they've all been wonderful. Chewy has mostly just had well check ups and vaccines but recently we had to do a dental cleaning and xrays. I already knew he was getting great care there, but the way the staff took care of him for a procedure where he'd be under anesthesia was exceptional. I got multiple call updates throughout the day, was told verbally what to do, given a "care package" to take home that included dental treats, post anesthesia supplements, AND got an email with detailed photos and information so I knew exactly what the vet and vet techs were talking about and how to best care for my pup in the future. I highly recommend anyone taking their pets there for care.

Also, I had moved from being 5 min away to 30ish minutes away (depending on Denver traffic) and I will always make the extra drive because I don't think I could find a better team in the Denver metro. :)

Excellent vets, top notch. The only vets for my cats and my sister's cats and dogs.

I took my cat in to have her teeth cleaned. I've been bringing my pets here for quite a while. Staff is great, love the vets!

I absolutely love the team at Parkside. I'm so glad to have found them! They were absolutely perfect with my shy old pup. They got on the floor with her to check her out, and took time to pet her before starting the exam. I didn't have to put her on a high/slippery table which would have made her even more nervous.

Even when we had a sudden issue arise on a Saturday, they quickly tried so hard to fit my old girl into the schedule and were able to recommend a close emergency vet hospital (that was also great) when they just couldn't make it work. However, even though they weren't the ones who ended up handling the diagnosis, they called twice to check on my old girl afterwards just to make sure she was making progress and to see if I had any questions.

These ladies are wonderful, and the prices are super reasonable! I can't recommend them enough!

Seriously the best vet I have been to. The staff is so incredibly caring! Even though my dog hates the services she receives (aka shots) I am thoroughly happy knowing she is in good hands!

I had to find a vet to see my hedghog which wasn't easy to find. I was so thrilled with Parkside Animal Health Center. They took such good care of her and even followed up with a call the next day to see how she is doing. They (the staff not just the vet who saw her) gave me a lot of options and the vet that saw her took the time to talk to me to figure out what was going on with her. Even though my hedghog is a senior and not going to live much longer I am so confident in the care and time she was given at this facility. I now have a vet I can rely and trust with my 2 dogs whom I now am so grateful for.

I have taken four animals to this place and every time I have been helped in a courteous and friendly fashion. When my little tiny toy poodle was hurt, the vet placed a warm towel down to make my little girl more comfortable. The times I have gone have been timely and I will continue to. If I could rate this a 10+ I would. My animals even seem to like this place. I usually have to drag them in the door but here they are almost (almost!) eager to enter. I have referred many satisfied friends and family. This is one great place. Thank you Brenda Heyman for doing a fantastic job!!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great prices on services and medical products (prescription food and supplements), very clean and sanitary, generous availability for appointments. I received an excited phone call with test results less than 24 hours after my appointment. I feel that the staff members here truly care about their patients' wellbeing and are excellent at communicating and following up. We really lucked out finding this office!

We LOVE Parkside. They have been caring for our two babies for years and we would trust no one else. They are kind, patient, and so good at keep our girls calm while they re there. I don t know too many dogs that actually get excited to go see their vet, but ours do! They are truly the best vet in town.

I unfortunately had to put my dog down due to a terrible accident. They were willing to help me even though I had never been there. The staff as well as the vet were very helpful and sensitive to the situation. Dr. Barrow even cried with us. I am very thankful for the people there. He was not an easy dog to deal with but they handled him very well. Thank you for all that you did for us!!

I cannot imagine having a better care team. We love our two dogs like they are our children and truly believe we have the veterinarian team that treats them like they are part of our family as well. Thank you greatly. Having both a semi-senior and a very energetic young dog can be a hassle, but the folks at Parkside are always so patient and compassionate with both of them and treat them with so much love. They are truly animal people and it shows.

These vets are great & they really care about ur pet. I strongly recommend them.

We adopted a dog from the Denver Dumb Friends League on Sunday. They included local vets who provide a free exam for your new pet. I called yesterday and they were able to see us today. I chose Parkside because it is a new business in the neighborhood and I enjoy supporting local businesses.

Everyone we dealt with was wonderful...especially Dr. Eisenhauer. She spent a LONG time with us and did a very thorough exam. She asked us lots of questions about our home and planned activity with our dog so she could make the best plan for taking care of Aspen. She explained the health risks associated with the breed and regional issues in Colorado.

I left feeling as if we had found a vet who really cared about our dog as much as we do.

I love this place!! They have always been SO good to our dogs and honest. The vet knows my dogs by name. We ve been coming here since we got our dogs 7 years ago and we would never leave.

Really friendly and great in knowledge to take care of all my cats and dogs over the years.

I was blown away with how wonderful the staff treated me and my dog. I have had bad experiences with other vet clinics before and this one made me and my dog feel so welcomed and comfortable. I will be sticking with Parkside for all my pet needs from now on.

I ve been going to Parkside basically since they ve opened and they have been incredibly passionate, fair, and have treated both my dog and myself like they would a member of their own family. The vets are honest and make sure to treat your pet with the utmost care, and the techs are friendly, incredibly intelligent, and caring.

I recommend Parkside to anyone who lives in the Denver/Aurora/Parker area.

Their approach is very caring but they don't push large amounts of imaging and tests. I'm very pleased with all that I've met who work there

My post was originally a 5 star but I'm dropping it to a 3 star. Our first experience with Parkside was 5 star (standard vaccinations) but when one of our wiener dogs had a back injury I rushed him to Parkside to not only wait an hour before getting turned away but the front desk receptionist was quite cold with no compassion for my dogs urgent situation. I'm not faulting the veterinarian for being too busy but I am very disappointed in the lack of compassion shown by the front desk. This still may be a good Veterinarian Clinic but if you want to take your pet(s) someplace that truly cares about their well-being, I don't feel like this is your best choice.

Staff is always so friendly and punctual. Highly recommend them for everyone s pets!!

A trustworthy pet hospital. I like their bedside manner with our aging dog. We also took our cat here for many years, and they handled her passing very well.

I absolutely love this clinic. The vets and techs are so attentive and nice. They always call to check up on my babies after their appointments. You feel like you and your pets really matter to them here.

Honestly, every interaction I've had with the staff at Parkside has been wonderful! The care team is obviously dedicated to providing the best services available to both my pets and myself. Short of free services, which is unrealistic, I can not think of a single way to improve my experience!

When I took my corgi in for a general physical check up and was concerned for a small growth on her eyelid the team helped ease my concerns. They explained it was a non cancerous growth that just sometimes happens. They provided me with a very reasonable quote for surgery to have it removed along with a teeth cleaning and an eye solution to make her comfortable until I was able to book and pay for the surgery!

Most recently, I took in my latest adopted cat, who came here all the way from LA. In LA he was diagnosed with scabies and ear mites. After a month back in Denver my poor kitty was still scratching at his ears, gowls and face. After an exam and testing we had no clear answer to a complicated problem. Many reasonable treatment plans were offered and the one we chose seems to be improving my kitties health drastically! I couldn't be more pleased in either scenario!

I think I already did a review for Parkside but it bears repeating. This place is the best vet office I ve ever been to. It s clean and doesn t smell like dog like most vet offices. The staff is very friendly and kind and they show affection to my dogs. Dr. Barrow and Dr. Winton are top notch. They are patient, kind and knowledgeable. They never make me feel rushed when I have lots of questions or when I m crying about my sick dog. I cannot say enough good things about these vets. We followed Dr. Winton here. She s been our vet for over 15 years. Then meeting Dr. Barrow has been such a blessing too. I truly appreciate the time and compassion they ve shown me and my family since we ve seen them a lot this past year with having a 17 year old dog and two puppies under a year old. I wish they could be my family s human doctors too. :) Another great thing about them is that they get on the floor with your dog as opposed to making them even more nervous on those high tables. It helps the dogs feel more at ease when they can remain on the floor. They give treats and have such great bedside manners. They re also more fairly priced than our old VCA corporate vet office. Thank you Parkside for all you do for my dogs!

She determined that Olly had an infection, prescribed some meds and two days later, Olly is spunky as ever.

This is the best vet I have ever been to. They do everything possible to make your pet (and you) feel completely comfortable. They communicate openly about options so that you can make the best decision for your pet. They also really take their time. I never feel rushed. I drive about 45 minutes to get here since moving and it s worth it.

Dr.Rand, and her team are so wonderful, understanding, kind, professional, and accommodating. Any time there's issues with vaccines, or anything, like our "special" cat #2 (Luna) being EXTRA nervous, they know exactly what to do to remedy the situation to make our babies' visits as stress-free as possible.

Moved here from Pueblo, and had the same vet for 14 years, I've just found my new vet for the next 14!! This place was great, staff was outstanding and can not say enough great things about this place. Really glad we found you!!!

The staff are so helpful and always smiling! Have a new puppy and wasn t sure where to go, but thrilled I found PAH Center. Very informative, will call with any information they feel you need. The facility is very clean.

Absolutely love the way my pup is treated by the caring staff. You can tell they love the animals and enjoy their job. My dog is always super excited to go and is scratching at the door to be allowed in.

The vets and staff are so good to our dogs. They know this is your family member, and treat them as such. We've see three vets here, and they've all been great. They have a true passion for animals. So patient and kind. The appointments are easy to book, and they often have availability. Our pup was terrified of having her nails cut, almost bit the tech who was cutting them, and the tech was still so sympathetic to our dog's fear. These are the people you want caring for your best friend.

Everyone here is always friendly and compliments me on how cute my pets are and my great care of my pets.

I switched vets a few years ago to parkside. I m so happy I did. They have so much patience with my dog who has anxiety. The whole office staff is amazing at answering questions who may have. I wouldn t take my animals any where else because I know they are in good hands.

We moved to Colorado from Nevada in 2020. Parkside has been the best Vet we have seen! They are very patient, informative, careful, caring, and thorough. They even call a day or two after your appointment to check on your pet. I ve always found them to be easy to talk with and very knowledgeable. The price range has been great for us and our basic check ups, shots, etc. highly recommend!

I have a dog with severe allergies. Within the first year of having my pup, we were at Parkside at least 9 times that year trying to get it under control. They're so patient, willing to try things, and easy to schedule an appointment. With that many visits and poking, you'd think the dog would hate it there but Boomer loves everyone. He even gets excited when we pull up. DEFINITELY recommend this group.

We found Parkside after rescuing one of our pups from Dumb Friends.
Dr. Eisenhauer had performed the spay surgery. We were impressed with Dr. E, and decided to stay with her budding vet practice. Shortly after adopting our dog, we got another pup. She also needed a spay, and we didn't hesitate going to Parkside.

Nine years later and we are still going to Parkside! Our dogs love Dr. E, Dr. Barrow, and Dr. Winton - as they've both seen all three of them. Our girls go for vaccines, dentals, skin conditions, not feeling good, and ouchies. When specialists have been needed, Parkside is very fast to follow up as soon as they get the records that your fur baby was seen. They always follow up their own appointments, too.
The front staff are all great as well! We've never had any issues getting our girls in for a standard appointment, or quickly for more urgent matters. Parkside vets even helped with our kitten fosters that were brought here from Florida.
While not the closest vet for us (we're in Lone Tree), we won't go anywhere else. Don't think twice about taking your animal to Parkside. They are knowledgeable, professional, and so loving!

Parkside Animal Health Center has provided wonderful care for my puppy, Maddie! We had our first visit here in late February, after adoption, and then had to have a sick puppy visit in late July. Both times, I felt that they had my pet, and my best interests at heart, especially considering the Covid-10 times.
Maddie had a probably conjunctivitis diagnosis, and we got the meds right there - so convenient! They ran other tests to rule out other eye conditions also.
Thankfully, 4 days later, her eyes are looking great!

Our dog has been under the care of PAHC for 5 years. The service has always been outstanding. We generally receive a follow up call checking on our dog after each visit. Most recently, our dog had his teeth cleaned and a lump removed from his chest. Dr. Eisenhauer called us three times during the procedure to up date us on his condition and to notify us of new information discovered during the procedure. Her calls definitely helped to relieve the stress we had during the process. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an email with photos our dogs incision , X-rays of his teeth & photos of his teeth cleaning. If you are looking for a veterinary clinic, We would highly recommend PAHC.

Called Parkside Animal Center (really short notice) with an eye issue that my dog was experiencing. I explained that I was not a regular client, but that our regular Vet. was away. They scheduled us in right away and treated the problem. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The service, caring and follow up was above and beyond expected........Al Hoppa

I'm impressed. I have used a no frills vet for several years but really wanted my shepherd to get the once over. The staff was very friendly and immediately worked to make Bekker feel at ease. Dr. Rand was such a delight, not only for me but Bekker, who is leary of strangers, was won over in seconds!! Dr. Rand didn't push for any extras, which was my initial concern, she just told it like it was. Bekker has been doing SO MUCH better since his intial visit and new meds. Thank you to all!!

I love Parkside, Brenda and her amazing team. My English bulldog puppy had an infection on his tail and after I took him to the ER, I was still left with a lot of questions and concerns. The next day I called Parkside and they already had the fax from the ER Vet and talked to me about his condition. Not only did they look over the visit record from the night before they got us meds for his pain and infection. I greatly appreciate everything they did my bully really appreciates it more! Thank you for your concern, you treat animals like family members not just pets. All my animals see her and I recommend this place to everyone I know. Thanks for making this new mom feel much better!

Very attentitive and hands on staff. They answered all my questions and emails with courtesy and efficiency leading up to my dogs dental procedure. Highly recomended!

We have been going here with our cat for about eight years and have never had a bad experience. Even in these time of Covid they do a great job, picking up the cat from the car for his appointment. The vet phoned before they finished the appointment and went through all of our questions in a friendly and helpful way. We will continue using them and would recommend them.

Such a wonderful vet clinic, with staff and doctors that truly care for their patients. They've taken incredible care of my doggos throughout the years, and I can't thank them enough for their support when I unfortunately had to go through the end of life process with one of my dogs.

Can't say enough about the standard of care my dogs and I receive every time we walk into the office. Dr. Eisenhauer is as close to the perfect vet I have ever known, and truly a kind hearted, thoughtful and intelligent person. I've had multiple dogs for 30 years. I've been to many vet offices throughout the years. The parkside staff and vets are the best I've seen. I pass by 4 other veterinary offices on my way to Parkside, so lots of options closer to home, but Parkside is worth the drive time. Truly a consistent exceptional practice. Highly recommend.

They have been great accommodating for COVID. We call when we arrive, and they take our doggie in for nail clipping or the vet appointment. When they are done, they bring her out. Payment is all over the phone, and the vets even call you to discuss the results from the appointment.

Best vet I've ever found. They were so compassionate and kind to both my kitties and me that I was blown away. Their technical expertise is outstanding and I was very impressed by the in-depth explanations of procedures that needed to be done.

I got my sweet boy from Just Pets and had to go to this vet to get the health guarantee.

In December, my baby got hurt somehow. I brought him in for an expensive appointment, 2 weeks of pain pills and no answers. When he didn t get better, we brought him back for another expensive appointment with imaging and blood work. We got zero answers again.

We gave him time to see if he would recover, he didn t. Since this office wasn t helpful and the vet seemed unable to do anything but charge money to not get our boy treated, we opted for a second opinion.

Today we found out that our 9 month old puppy is most likely going to need surgery to fix an severe hip injury that the vet at this place didn t take seriously. He may have permanent damage due to the delay in proper treatment.

If you care about your animals at all, do not take them to this office.

I just love everyone at Parkside. They always do a great job and are patient with my dog who is older and can be a little grumpy. They know how to calm his nerves. I highly recommend them!

Pretty poor experience I have had here. We got a new pet from a local pet store, Just Pets. The pet store had a health guarantee and in order to activate it, we needed to go to one of their recommended vets - Parkside was one. I called after getting our dog, and they didn't have any appointments until three weeks out. Well, I wanted the health guarantee, so I booked it and we went. Parkside then said then charged me for the office visit, saying it was outside of the 5 days as required in the contract - even though Parkside had no availability. I tried to see if they would give me an office credit so I could continue a working relationship with Parkside, but they refused to do so Parkside eventually stated they have been telling Just Pets to stop sending patients over, but this was never disclosed to me. I told Parkside when I initially made the visit where I got the dog from. They should have disclosed then that they had a bad relationship with Just Pets, or should have told me that if I waited the three weeks, that they would charge me. But instead they said nothing. Made me wait, took the money, and then offered horrible service. I would not recommend this place. If they can't be upfront and honest about this situation, what would make anyone think they would be honest and upfront about your pets health? Clearly money is their driving factor.

While visiting family in Aurora, our giant schnauzer became ill. Most vets were closed Saturdays or would see us only on an emergency basis (ie: $$$$ to walk in the door). Not only was Parkside open, but the vet was great! She got right down on the floor to meet & examine Endora at her level. She was thorough, gentle and very reassuring (and Endora clearly was not stressed.) Dr. did only 1 necessary test, gave us an Rx, invited us to call if Endora wasn t improved in 1-2 days. A clean facility ,friendly staff, and the charge was similar to our regular vet back home! If we lived anywhere near, we would definitely choose Parkside for our pets.

The staff is great! They are always friendly and they give my sweet little baby homemade peanut butter treats after he gets his shots.

I had to put my little boy Rocky to sleep. They were very caring and thoughtful. I don't have anymore animals. But if I ever do i will definitely take them here!

My experience here was great! My dog is very stressed at the vet but they made her more comfortable and got the exam and vaccinations done with as little stress for her as possible. They were great!

For the first time in my life, my dogs actually LIKE going to the vet! Parkside Animal Health Center takes AMAZING care of my fur babies--and the staff is incredibly communicative when it comes to giving me updates. Its nice to have the follow-up phone calls the next day just to check on the dogs, especially after vaccinations, but even more useful are the reminders that the staff send out via email or through their app that let me know its time to bring the dogs in for boosters or check-ups! This vet is truly incredible--HIGHLY recommend.
