ParkShare.net is designed to help motorists find cheap (or free) parking spaces by using private driveways; a simple concept which could really help commuters cut the cost of motoring and at the same time give homeowners in congested towns and cities some extra help.
ParkShare is built to be cheaper and easier than all other similar sites. For a start it’s completely free of charge to search, join and list a space, and a user only pays a flat fee of 10% of the total once the space is booked (and we even pay their PayPal fees out of that too!)
But unlike all the other parking sites, there is also a ‘Community” option. A ‘Community space’ is one where no money is involved, just an exchange of services. For example an elderly person might have a spare parking space, but not have the ability to mow their lawn during the summer, or perhaps be able to get to the shops to buy groceries. These sorts of local and helpful arrangements can be listed completely free of charge.
