Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home Review

This is the second service we ve had with Parke s in the last three years. Both my parents. They have been wonderfully helpful and kind.

Very impressed how Mike took some mishaps with the obituary and addressed them in a professional manner. He corrected the errors promptly and was professional about it. Thank you Mike for all you do in hard situations.

Mike is a wonderful person. He was amazing to work with when I lost my dad almost 3 years ago. Like others have said Mike is very caring.

As a hospice nurse in the community, I can say that this funeral home has shown great efforts to make a difficult time go as smoothly as possible. I cannot say enough good things about the attention and care they gave our family with their services when my father passed away. Highly recommend.

This is by far the worst funeral home in the valley, possibly the state. The owner is very unprofessional and is always looking for ways to advertise his company at the expense of those who are less fortuninate. I attended an open casket viewing. I'm very dissapointed that that was the last time i would see the diseased. They had done the embalming in the neck so they had to cover it up with wax and tilt here head in an odd way. They also had to pull her dress up to her kneck. I couldn't believe how lazy they had been.

I would recommend you considered other places and make this establishment a last resort.

I've known Mike and Catherine for many years. They are as compassionate as any people in the world and will go the extra mile to help a family in time of need. Their passion in life doesn't just come from serving others but from life experiences lived, knowing personal tribulation. When you leave their care you will feel like family!

Absolutely wonderful establishment and personnel given the unfortunate event in which we had to meet. Mike Parkes and all of his staff were amazing, from beginning to the end. Mike is relentless in helping grieving families get the services they want. He personally fought, if you will, for us to have my fathers viewing in a out of state facility once we got word we couldn't. And for that the Perez family is forever grateful. It's what we wanted and he delivered even though he didn't have to. It shows his compassion and dedication in truly helping families out.
I will be setting up my own services through them as I know my kids will be taken care of and comforted in knowing I will be in good hands even after passing.

Mr.parkes and his staff make you feel so welcome and we have had 3 deaths and parkes is the only funeral home I would ever choose for my loved ones..they take the time to hear you out and they definitely go the extra mile for your family. They always give you all the time you need to spend the last times with the ones you love...and they NEVER rush you... couldn't of asked for a better experience...thank you parked family for everything!!!

Parkes funeral home was amazing. My brother unfortunately ended his life and it was extremely hard especially on me. They went above and beyond to make sure I got to see my brother as much as possible up until the very last second. They were extremely comforting and honest. They did everything our family asked of him and more. I highly recommend this place if you unfortunately lose a love one.

Family owned and operated, Catherine and Mike are true professionals that are sincerely incredible people. When I walked in to discuss arrangements for my mother's cremation, I knew I was were I was supposed to be and with the best people to take care of her last wishes. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Thank you to the Parke clan!

Mike and Catherine are the most wonderful people to work with. I was blessed to have them officiate both my father and mother's funerals (Dean and Ethel Anderson) It has been a 10 years but when I spoke with him to day, he knew who I was. They are a blessing.

We could not ask for better service. Mike is wonderful to work with and extremely helpful in dealing with all the other issues that come up.
