Enchanting place in the Lecco Brianza area. From the top of the church dedicated to the Madonna del Carmelo, highest point of the Poggio, in the clear blue days you can clearly see Milan. The village around the sanctuary is delightful. Place of residence of the greatest mathematics of the '700: Maria Gaetana Agnesi (1718 - 1799) who lived here for a long time.

A beautiful park, near Monza, cared for and full of paths for beautiful walks, bicycle and horse. In the park there are several farmhouses with a restaurant, some of which are worth a visit.

Very large park in the middle of Brianza, suitable for walks and mountain bike excursions, and if you are in the Montevecchia area, an ice cream in the square overlooking the Milan skyline cannot miss.

A fantastic natural place where you feel immersed.

A spectacular panorama can be observed from the terrace of the Sanctuary of Montevecchia, built at a height that emerges from what surrounds it.

This sanctuary can be reached through a series of stairways, which lead to the top of the mountain.

By entering the door on the side of the sanctuary, however, you can reach a staircase to go up to the terrace mentioned above.

The attached photos are not enough to explain and represent the beauty of that landscape.

A few minutes north of Milan, meeting the first hills, it also includes flat areas, ideal for non-demanding walks, even in winter, glimpses similar to Tuscany with vineyards and cypresses and spectacular views of the Po valley.

A little too many rules made only for mass tourism. A little more expertise and real bans would make it unique

Beautiful village that stands on that hill and which also houses the sanctuary. Too bad not to enter the park, an incomprehensible no sense.

An unexpected oasis of peace and tranquility, where you can relax, meditate and pray (for those who believe and seek spirituality, there are the beautiful sanctuary of the Madonna del Carmelo, but also other ancient churches scattered throughout the territory), exercise ( from walking, to running, to cycling, etc.), to eat very special and typical specialties (such as 'small cheeses' or blue eggs produced on site by a small business owner ...), to sleep and rest in elegant and well-equipped agritourisms , enjoy a fresh and pure air but also a spectacular view over the whole Brianza!
It is truly a place to visit on purpose and to recommend to everyone. Really everyone !!!

the place is very scenic, there is a lot of nature and the restaurants / bars very welcoming but it's a pity that the church is only open on holidays.

Montevecchia, especially Sirtori, enjoy a wonderful view from which you can easily see Milan. The park includes several paths among which you can find different views to see the panorama. There are picnic tables.

Going around the park there are paths closed by brushwood.

I also find it sad that a forester who sees me with the dog off the leash refers to a regulation or a law (Wrong. A dog tied up in a national park seems more like the beginning of a joke), rather than inquiring. if the dog is on command (whoever reads this term should, I say should, know it.

A dog without a leash should, to date, be an added value in the relationship between owner / dog, for people who work in the field. Alternatively, for me we are not talking about a forest guard but rather a simple citizen who is not able to see further from the palm of his nose.

In this way, nothing is raised. Laws that only serve to protect anyone.

Dogs more and more incompetent, spoiled like their owners.

Operators more and more automatons unable to make decisions on their own.

It is not the right way. I repeat it again in this case.

The leash is the solution for the incapable and for the listless. It is not possible that all this is pushed instead of a more decisive commitment.

I add that my dog is on command and to make this possible every time I am forced to feel dirty and illegal in my behavior.

What is the point of educating ourselves and our animal if we cannot keep them free even in a national park?

Too simple to rely on rules and laws. It only serves to avoid having to make individual decisions.

We need thinking heads in this society. Not incompetent automata.
