As I am a skilled worker and new to Canada, Bowen believed in my potential and skill set and offered me an employment with one of their prestigious client, I am really enjoying the working culture, my mentor and people I am working with are very supportive, it s really a great place to work.

Bowen keep a track on my performance, takes feedback from employer time to time about my work, the strongest point they have is providing you timely feedback to improve and do much better.

THEY WRITE FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS. They were justifiably a 2.6 rating a few months ago and have had former employees basically spam 5 star reviews to boost their rating which sadly has worked. Truth is they are completely passive in their approach to finding anything. They have offered literally nothing or contacted me 0 times in 9 months since signing up. Nothing whatsoever.

My experience with Bowen was fabulous. My recruiter Debbie was simply awesome. She was quick and prompt in herhcommunication, honest & transparent in her responses, warm and welcoming as I was a newcomer to Canada. Her turnaround time was super impressive. She not only understood my profile and competencies well but also worked on finding opportunities that would actually leverage them. Also, my HR Lyndsay Hatt is very prompt and approachable. I have enjoyed working with and for Bowen and highly recommend it.

Sadly my experience with Bowen wasn't a feel good experience.

I received an e-mail from a Bowen Representative, she had requested that if interested in job (no details of the job were given only a title) to call her immediately. 3 minutes after she calls my phone however I was in meetings. I returned her call later that day only to be spoken to rudely. She said you're too late I submitted the applications, too bad. She didn't tell me about Bowen, or offer any suggestions, feedback etc. All I can say is thankfully there are other professional agencies out there who have met with me to review my qualifications and tell me about their company and strategies.

I first found out about Bowen on LinkedIn and reached out to Cate who has been hugely supportive in getting me assignments at great organizations with great people/work cultures.
Really pleased with the service I have received so far and would gladly recommend to others.

Told me "a junior position is not a entry level position", that I shouldn't be applying for so many jobs and my experience doesn't count. I should note I have just finished school and have worked for various companies in this field for the past 10 years. They also won't reveal any information about the company they're recruiting for whether they decide to help you or not. Very disrespectful and a waste of time.

Elizabeth has been amazing to deal with and they always have assignments readily available. BOWEN placed me on a dream assignment and I will always be thankful for that.

I received my current temporary assignment through Cate C. Cate has been very cheerful, positive and supportive. I enjoy that within each assignment I learn something new and I am able to apply it in future assignments. My Experience with Bowen has been extremely positive. From the professional, friendly staff to the care and attention taken to my placement. In my situation, I was placed to cover a short term medical leave in November 2018 and I am still with the company! I believe the thorough pre-screening really helps to find the right fit. As well, once you are placed, setting up for payment and submitting timesheets is very user friendly. I have also found that my particular recruiter Jennifer has been in constant contact. The support is always encouraging.

They don't care at all about the people they place. All they do is throw you out there with little pay and NO SUPPORT.

"Sends you out and just takes a cut", kinda like a bad pimp!!

I have only one word to say for this agency especially Cate & Jennifer, Fantastic.

Definitely a great staff company. My initial recruiter Carrie was amazing, I met her one day when I decided to go into the office. From that intake interview I knew I was in capable hands. I sent my resume to numerous staffing agencies, but BOWEN was it for me. Being persistent is key when searching for a job, it is so important to highlight your skills because skills gets jobs education just sustains you. Employers want to know what skills you bring to their company so selling skills on your resume will get you a job in your desired industry. Fast Forward Cate is now my recruiter and she is phenomenal in getting you the right placement. Apply for jobs, but also register with them for temp placements!

It's a pleasure to be working with Bowen on various assignments. Both Cate and Jennifer have been of great help and support with my time at Bowen. The staff are very responsive, ready to answer any questions you may have.

The time it takes to be assigned to a new assignment once one has completed is super quick, allowing you to transition into new work very quickly.

I worked for Bowen in 2011/2012 and came back this year for work. My recruiter Cate was absolutely amazing, professional and very friendly. I felt at ease and comfortable during my initial interview with her. My previous experience was really great as well. Cate gave me some feedback on my resume and was always prompt in responding my communication. She was honest, transparent, and always remembered me for the assignments that interested me in particular, and sometimes she would even run assignments by me if they didn t necessarily fit within the criteria I was looking for, but that she thought I might find interesting anyway. The recruiters seem to have great communication and great working relationship within the agency, as I would hear about other recruiters assignments as well. Their receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and remembered me the second time I called. Bowen will be my first call the next time I need work.

The staff and Brenda in particular are amazing. She sees potential and has a keen eye to match the right person with the right role. Very thorough, great follow through.

Brenda is amazing! She really has your best interest in mind and is a fantastic coach in your job search. She really values and respects finding you something that is the perfect fit for you. Really happy with Brenda, and Bowen, and I would highly recommend using them if you are looking for placement!

It took about 5 months to receive my benefits card, after paying for all of those months. I was not reimbursed. They were incredibly rude and disorganized. They got rid of their monthly subsidies without even informing me, so I had to suddenly pay an extra $1060 dollars (deducted from my paycheck). Our company has switched to Adecco, and the benefit packages are about half the price. Do not go with Bowen, unless you want your staff to pay thousands of dollars for virtually nothing.

Update: Bowen has since failed to deposit my most recent pay cheque, which should have been paid 2 days ago. They also ignored my emails on the matter.

I had a great experience with Bowen. Debbie Hird contacted me right away and was even able to send me opportunities the same day. She also supplied me with great advice on how to alter my resume and prepare for interviews. I highly recommend them!

Brenda was extraordinary. She helped me find a job with my "outside of the box" skill set that was perfectly suited to me. Every element of my experience with Bowen has been fantastic.

Your location needs to be changed as its in one of scariest beltline neighbourhoods. When coming to your office for interview with Brenda in the morning, from 11th Ave to the front of the building encountered so many homeless people asking for money, not only was I scared but also feared for my life.
I gave three stars just because of the location. Overall my experience with BOWEN was amazing and very positive.

I believe everyone's experience would be different, diverse and valid, considering the person's circumstance and standpoint. Though I did not obtain a placement through this agency, my experience with Bowen was extremely positive.

I walked in to the office, still feeling somewhat bashful, making the effort to stay confident and optimistic. In my opinion, the staff at Bowen supported me in validating every single effort I was making that day. Affirmative encounter is always welcome, especially when you are looking for where you belong.

You might want to have "Bowen experience" of your own. I highly recommend to discover what this agency is truly like with your own eyes. I am currently on an assignment through another agency; however, I am still considered to be one of their candidates, they keep in touch with me to see how I am doing. To me, it is a reminder of the support I felt the first time I visited Bowen.

If you are seeking employment I would highly suggest avoiding using Bowen and to look at other agencies such as Manpower and Randstad which are more effective.

I contacted Bowen in April regarding temporary and permanent positions. It took roughly two weeks of phone tag with a recruiter to finally setup a time to meet with a recruiter for an interview in their office.

I was interested in Bowen as the recruiter I spoke with told me that they were the only agency that was taking on contracts for both Encana as well as the City of Calgary. I later learned this wasn't truthful and it was a major reason I decided to stay with Bowen despite their lack of competency at finding placements for candidates.

I was available for placements with Bowen in early May. It took approximately 3 months until I would be offered an assignment and this only happened after constantly communicating with the recruiters to ensure they were still actively looking for me. Apparently they couldn't find anything for me despite the fact I had previous found positions within a matter of days with Adecco and Diversified.

The position they found me was with a good employer in an awesome office. Very friendly people. Great team atmosphere. There was just one problem.

If, and when you get sick you can expect zero support from them. I did get rather ill and it caused me to miss consecutive days at work. At which point I was informed the assignment was being ended early due to the fact the employer wanted somebody else that would be reliable. Apparently as a candidate it is your responsibility to go to work even when you are sick.

They did not offer to pay me for the stat holiday that occurred during the illness or even make any financial compensation despite the fact it was their client that ended the assignment early simply due to the fact I was sick and couldn't come to work. I ended up getting seriously ill with the flu for approximately 10 days. Apparently we are expected to go to work when throwing up, extreme nausea and a constant fever.

I would suggest looking at other agencies if you are serious about finding employment. My experience was it takes months to get a placement and when you do they will always put the client first despite the fact they are physically make a lot of money off you working for them.

My Recruitment Specialist in placed me to a job I love and to a work team so encouraging. This is a great career start. So grateful!!

Bowen is a qualitative job placement outfit where everyone is busy to ensure you feel comfortable while working. I love the way the payroll system works, unlike some agencies, where you send in weekly reports to their office, and in very frustrating detail too, after all the reports you do at your place of work. Not so with Bowen who depends on the only reports you submit at the workplace, very simple, you get your money paid biweekly without any threatening email if you "fail to submit a report".
