Here now and I swear this place is nothing more than a glorified carnival. It s being run by nothing but children. Something as simple as getting a meal at this place was by far the worst experience I ve ever Had. I will never spend my time or money here. Told waste your time

Went to King's Island with my 21 year old daughter and my brother-in-law. We had a great time and the rides were amazing! Our favorite was the Banshee with Diamondback a close 2nd. But again, we hit them all and enjoyed them all. Well...kind of enjoyed the beating that The Beast gave us. That coaster could easily be renamed "The Prize Fighter" because I felt like I went a few rounds with a boxer after the ride was over. We took the rear cart and took our beating like men and women. lol.

We did the Fast Pass Plus and I highly recommend it. Saved us hours of waiting in line and by mid-day we were able to get in all the coasters (multiple times) that our bodies could take and were able to head home around 4:30pm. (We had gotten there at 10:30am).

Couple very minor complaints that kept it from getting a 5 star rating.

1. The were no "in ride" pictures for the FireHawk. I had gotten a photo pass for the day and was looking forward to capturing all ride photos. I think all the bigger rides should have them.

2. There weren't fans at all the loading/unloading stations. The weather there is mostly good. But on warm days like the day we went, the rides that had fans at the loading stations were glorious. Even with the fast pass plus, we'd have a wait a few minutes on some rides and those fans were a welcome comfort. Most rides should have them as it is a cheap way to provide guest comfort.

3. Little to no signage. At any amusement park I've been to before, there are signs at most path intersections. pointing to which way the rides/attractions are located. I know they provide maps but with all the winding paths and it being my first trip, it wasn't as easy as it should've been to find and get to the next ride we wanted to hit. That said, I just started asking employees and everyone was friendly and knew how to guide us to the ride we were looking for. Good customer service.

All in all, we had a great day and I will certainly be back. Need to get the ring rust off for my rematch with The Beast. ;)

Very poor experience with staff. 75% of workers are unwilling to answer any questions outside of their direct job. Simply getting directions was like pulling teeth. Park as a whole is not veteran friendly. Costs are not outrageous, on par with most other amusement parks. I would recommend other places i.e. Disney, Six flags, etc. over here due to staff. I asked to upgrade my parking due to a military related injury and security advised me to walk to parking lot entrance (1 mi +) and pay an additional $30. I asked to pay at the preferred lot entrance and they didn't even answer me simply said "make a u-turn and park in general area. I tried to find a manager to voice my concerns and they didn't have time to talk with me but I could leave my email for further contact.

Kings Island is a gem of a park and makes the Cincinnati area all the better for having it. It has a variety of world class roller coasters for the thrill seeker to the opposite end of the spectrum. Pretty much anyone can have a great time at the park. The ambiance from the minute you walk in is something special. From the moment you walk in, you are treated to the awe-inspiring view of the fountains in front of the Eiffel Tower, and the views don't stop there. Cedar Fair's ownership has done wonders for the park and they continue to take the park in an exciting direction.

The staff is wonderful, the park is clean, the food is pretty standard amusement park fare (both in quality and price) and the ride ops are top notch. It's definitely one of my favorite parks to visit.. If you are wondering if you should go to the park, stop wondering and go! Word to the wise though, if you live close, you definitely should go for the gold pass. It pays for itself in a couple visits, especially with the rather insane cost of parking these days.

Just visited the park and I've been going here ever since the early 90s. The lowest point for me was when paramount sold it and cedar fair first took over. However, since then it has consistently gotten better in the years I've visited since, and I have to say, it is now better than way back when. And all the while, they've been able to keep the prices reasonable compared to the Orlando highway robberies like Disney and universal. And the coasters are way better here too compared to those places. I was surprised at what they stepped up this year too. Antique cars was a cool addition and fun for the kids to drive the cars. The renovations they've done and the new night show rivals that of Disney and I prefer this one over Disney myself. That new finale on international street was awesome, and worth a visit this year just to see it. They are building a new coaster in 2020 (hopefully a giga), so it's only gonna get bigger and better from here.

So my cricisms would be the food is a little high doller, but not outrageous, and the choices could be better. I would like to see an indoor themed ride again (tomb raider was an awesome ride, but when it changed to the crypt, it sucked). And just more theming in general would be cool (this is where places like Disney and universal win out by a long shot).

All that said, as long as the prices stay the same, this park is hands down a better experience for the money than any other I've ever been to, and I'll continue to visit here for years to come as long as that holds true. Well done and keep at it!

I might have as well taken the $400 family spent today thrown it into a fire. I would have gotten more pleasure from it. It took 2 hours just to get something to eat. 45 minutes to get my $16 coke refilled to only be told I couldn't have it with me while I waited 2 and half hours for a ride on a 30 seconds roller coaster. In 8 hours at the park. I don't believe I have actually managed to do anything. I will never return!

I've had hold passes to this place many many times. This year is such a disappointment. Never again. Food is so outrageously priced and every single thing we got was cold and old. Three chicken tenders and an order of fries is $14.95. One single order NO drink included small fountain drink is $4.95 including ice water. the fast pass is bull crap as well. They just keep putting them in front of everyone. You stand in line while these little brats run as fast as they can from the end of the ride to the front of the line and cut and go again and again while you wait. NEVER AGAIN WILL I SPEND A DIME HERE. SORRY.

Fun place! My son and I aren't into roller coasters but still had plenty of rides to ride and things to do! Quite expensive... Be careful during warm months. The bees SwArM around the drink spouts at the outdoor fountain drink stations. Not good news if you are allergic to bees.

Great place to be! I spent 1.5 days here and I fell in love with this place. The coaster collection is amazing, from the new for 2017 GCI Mystic Timbers, to Backlot Stunt Coaster and everything else in between! For lunch, I recommend the Miami River house Brewery and, ofc, Beast at night is a must!!! With the new for 2020 B&M Giga announcement coming up, I will definitely be adding this park to my future plans!

Three of my friends and i came here for the day and had an awesome time! We planned this out a few weeks ahead and broke the record for most rides on white water canyon in 1 day! The workers were super awesome and were very interactive, and Tom and Noah made the experience extremely memorable! We can t wait to come back and have more awesome memories with the amazing staff!

A nice place for the younger set. Lots of roller coasters to drain the blood from your brain. There's also a water park, live entertainment, and typical foods found at an amusement park. Nice place to spend some time with my son and grand kids.

We always have a great time. We have season passes and go every chance we get. Well worth the hour+ drive to get there. The rides are amazing and it seems that they have the lines under control from what they were a few years ago. I remember waiting in line for 3 hours to ride some rides. Not these days. Sure, the prices are crazy... it's an amusement park. Show me one that has good prices. Pack a cooler and go back to your car for lunch. Water is still free. The "kids" operating the rides are having fun with the park guests this year. Trying to get the guests pumped up before and after the ride. It is extremely difficult to accommodate everyone's needs but 2 thumbs WAY up for the gluten free refreshments! The rides, food and shows are great. The people-watching is the best! There really IS someone for everyone. :-) My only complaint is the condition of the restrooms. They look like they haven't been cleaned since 1972.

What can you say about one of the greatest amusement parks in the United States? Gets a four star review only because I loved the park more when it was owned by paramount and their Halloween Haunt quality has really gone downhill. I have so many great memories of this place that I have nothing negative to say about it. I only wish parking and tickets weren't so expensive so I could afford to visit more.

Great park!!! Lots of fun!! The only complaint I would have. Would be the only smoking area is outside of the park this year. They use to have a lot of smoking areas around the park in the past years. But this year with coronavirus. They now say they don t have smoking area this year because. You have to remove your mask to smoke. But yet the old smoking area. Are now turn into a mask off area. So that doesn t make any sense to me. Other then that the park is GREAT!!! Lots of fun!!!

First off a great place to ride rides great food mostly junk food lots and lots of fun it's a all day event. As a disabled person you get the opportunity to jump in front of the people to ride the rides. Great Great fun.

Way crowded, long lines for rides. I highly recommend waiting for a nice cool weekday if you're older like me. People watching was a blast though. Should have done the water park. We're going back on a nice cool weekday when the kids are back in school

It's so much fun and it's a wonderful place to go when you're bored around the house in the summertime or even the Autumn and wintertime. When it's chilly out they do halloween haunt and the winterfest. It's the best place to go.

Awsome

As an out of state individual, I've never been this close to an amusement park daily.. Lived here for a year, got the season pass for $100 are you kidding me!? How can you NOT get that pass as a local!? In 2 trips you've practically paid for it! Great roller coasters once you know which ones not to go on due to comfort reasons lol. The Beast, Flight or Fear, Banshee, Diamond Back are all phenomenal coasters worth a decent wait. The water park is worth it even on busy days. Just had an absolute amazing summer at this place, been 5 times and plan to go a lot more

Gold Season Pass is the way to go. An entire season of fun for the same cost as one day at Disney world. Rides are top notch and I really appreciate the improvements to the environment (landscape/hardscape) over the last 10 years.

One of my favorite parks. The new Orion coaster has a 300' drop and reaches 91mph! The staff was very professional and attentive. The covid-19 procedures made it interesting (temp checks, masks, temporary ride closures for cleaning, etc). The staff was very respectful regarding this. I did not hear a single complaint and EVERYONE was wearing a mask and adhering to the social distancing guidelines (a few times I saw people forget, but when reminded, they complied without complaining). Overall, despite pandemic procedures, it was a very enjoyable experience.

I'm always reading reviews on people buying meals and drinks here.....that's one thing you wouldn't catch me dead doing. Just like the guy that mentioned the $15 burger and fries or the $6 fountain drink. Oh and almost forgot the large pizza at LaRosas for $27.99!!!! Best deal ever (as long as you live close enough like my wife and I do) is the dining plan and refillable souvenir cup. Either buy both before the season starts when you renew your pass or pay monthly on them for 6 months. It's a great deal!!! I believe we payed only about $90 a piece for the dining plan to add it to our pass which includes 2 meals a day 4 hours apart and then we got one souvenir cup (orange 2016) which was $29.99 and you get FREE refills ALL season!!!! Well worth it going this route. There are times where my wife and I go to KI and just eat without spending a dime and then go home....or we eat and ride a ride or two and then go home. We used to be the people that would have to get stamped and leave the park to get Taco Bell, Wendy's, McDonald's, etc. But as soon as they rolled out with the dining plan, we have been getting them every year!!! Greatest deal here at King's Island!!!

This is easily my favorite place in Ohio and I will sorely miss it when I move away next year. Soak City is awesome and I love Flight of Fear. In fact, most of the non-wooden roller coasters are great. Kings Island's sister park up north, Cedar Pointe, may have slightly better rides, but there is a certain atmosphere at Kings Island that is lacking there. I wish it could be summer all year round. (I know there is Winterfest, but I'm a summer type of guy.)
