Brad Watts Review of Paramounts Kings Island
Just visited the park and I've been going here eve...
Just visited the park and I've been going here ever since the early 90s. The lowest point for me was when paramount sold it and cedar fair first took over. However, since then it has consistently gotten better in the years I've visited since, and I have to say, it is now better than way back when. And all the while, they've been able to keep the prices reasonable compared to the Orlando highway robberies like Disney and universal. And the coasters are way better here too compared to those places. I was surprised at what they stepped up this year too. Antique cars was a cool addition and fun for the kids to drive the cars. The renovations they've done and the new night show rivals that of Disney and I prefer this one over Disney myself. That new finale on international street was awesome, and worth a visit this year just to see it. They are building a new coaster in 2020 (hopefully a giga), so it's only gonna get bigger and better from here.
So my cricisms would be the food is a little high doller, but not outrageous, and the choices could be better. I would like to see an indoor themed ride again (tomb raider was an awesome ride, but when it changed to the crypt, it sucked). And just more theming in general would be cool (this is where places like Disney and universal win out by a long shot).
All that said, as long as the prices stay the same, this park is hands down a better experience for the money than any other I've ever been to, and I'll continue to visit here for years to come as long as that holds true. Well done and keep at it!
