We go a lot especially during Red White and Brew and A Taste of New Orleans. The shows are awesome and the food is great.
Winterfest was amazing - we had a 2 yr old with us, the lights, dance and rides were amazing. Food options are pretty bad / expensive, though.
Came here for a colonoscopy last Friday. 10/10, gentle and not too exciting. Very thorough.
Gold season pass is such a great deal. Love the freedom of going any day any time all for free!
Great America is a fun place to enjoy with family and friends!!!!!!
Fun but at 10am...lots of rides were not open yet.....
Too old, look abandoned, many rides don't works, 10 years ago was my favorite summer place to go but six flags Vallejo its my favorite destination
Very fun and there s something for everyone to enjoy
I've been coming to Great America for years and I've always enjoyed myself to the fullest. Until this most recent trip when I was pulled over by park security, released, stopped again by four security guards at the gate and was accused of "casing the joint" to "steal cars". When park "security" didn't believe my story (and detained me for nearly half an hour while refusing to believe anything I had to say) and banned me for one year for "not showing enough respect".
Great job guys, you managed to get someone who has bought a season pass nearly every year, since I've been old enough to ride roller coasters, and just bought one for his girlfriend and her brother, banned for a year for not bending over backwards to accommodate the asinine accusations laid before me.
Be careful while trying to find a closer spot in the lot, you'll be accused of grand theft auto and banned.
Its always super fun but they need more alcohol choices
Excellent place to have a good time with family and friends. 100% fun !!!
Been there during the Winter Fest. The stuff did not know where general things are and it was not clear where the performances are happening. But still had a wonderful time.
Have loved this place since I was a kid. Impressed with how well it s been maintained.
My favorite place to go as a teen and now a favorite for my children.
It was very fun but I didn't like the over priced food and how busy it is on the weekends
I loved this place as a kid, however I was disappointed when I brought my kids. 1 water was available and half of the other rides were closed or under construction.
Had a great time on a off peak day last July. I had eight roller coaster rides on that day and it was unforgettable. The Classic American Wooden Roller Coaster is definitely on my bucketlist. I will always prefer these types of amusement parks than Disney because i hate long lines... really hate long lines. Thank you Great America.
Fun, they have some new coasters since my last visit.
1/2 the rides in kid zone were not running ,food is expensive, had fun
We always go to great america every other weekend..
Went on a Monday, it was a lot of fun. There was hardly any people throughout the day so we never waited longer than 35 minutes for a ride. My only complaint is really the price of food, 17 bucks for a tiny meal and drink is highway robbery.
So fun fun and great for family parties or for hanging out with friends.
It amazingly fun but you need your Halloween Haunt costumes to me even scarier. Like to a teenager would pee his/her pants
It is a very fun place with both rides and shows for all ages.
I was not able to go on all the ride in one day
Good place for family and thrill rides, bit pricy compared to other places
Season pass makes this great value theme park to visit. Some of the rides need to be refurbished. They are worn out and by late afternoon are quite smelly.
Decent theme park owned by Cedar Fair. If you're a coaster enthusiast, go for Gold Striker and RailBlazer. The rest of the rides are pretty average. Also, get a season pass if you plan on going more than once.
Me and my family of 7 just spent the last day at great of america to celebrate my nephews Birthday. We bought all day food passes for 7 people($210 value) on top of the normal entrance fee and experienced nothing but trouble. It took us over an hour and a half to even get lunch from the directions we received from employees and once we finally ordered our lunch and went to pay our wristbands did not work. Finally after explaining our situation to several employees we were able to get the only the meal (zero beverages and sides like we paid for). We tried doing this later in the day at a different restaurant and the employes didn't even take our wristbands... Pretty much we bought $210 worth of food for my nephews birthday, received maybe 70$ of that, and spend over 2 hrs trying to get food when that time could have been spent riding rides.... pretty much got our money taken... very disappointed, expected a lot more.
Totally fun! Right by shorline too, might as well make a weekend out of it !
Was grate & fun not only for kids. But can take your date for a awesome full day date
Need to give this place another shot but the whole time all you can smell while walking around is weed, the bathrooms were disgusting and the whole wait period is ridiculously long and so unorganized.
Had a great time at Great America, the only thing that bothered me was the pricing. It was a fun weekend activity but anymore than that will put a dent in your wallet.
Love this place and now that I have a son he gets to enjoy it as well.
Too much line jumping and disrespect for others who are actually patiently following the rules. I understand it can be difficult to enforce, but to have guest services encourage you to line jump too is disappointing.
There is still a problem with line in all the rides.
Park is great. Could use a nice coat of paint and some cleaning.
Amazing place to spend a day for both kids and adults with large area and lots of different rides
I take my daughter here for her birthday. Hey birthday is Christmas but we go the day after.
It's a fun amusement park too go only once a year.. I just wish it was a little bit more affordable for family to go, without gold pass. But the park just has its new era and it's old era at the same time. There's a lot of things that are outdated, I wish they change up their food menu. Overall all, it's only met for young crowd people.
It wasn't crowded, the lines were reasonable during the weekdays, and they didn't gouge as much as I thought. I wish they had healthier meals. You will get tired, so get the all you can drink cup to help when it's hot.
This place is horrible, but the kids love it.
The food court touchscreen system is a nightmare. I hope they realize this before the huge summer crowds. Good luck trying to get what you want. The clueless managers and the clueless staff don't help matters.
Do not wait for a Disneyland. The park is quite small, but has some cool roller coasters. Off season you can visit the main attractions in two or three hours, which is great. Expensive parking, better to avoid. I did not taste the food inside, but I found everything very expensive. You have the option of going out to eat and are allowed back
This place is a lot of fun and isn't really expensive.
Disappointing. Park is nice, staff nice, half the park was closed!! No shows, few shops, All the closures should have been posted. Lots of kids , If no entertainment , at least park should be staffed to run most rides, I don't know if we'll be back .
Always a good time from my childhood to my grandkids!
fun times! Avoid the long lines and go after 7 pm on a week day. Season pass is the way to go.
Amazingly Still a nice place to take your children of all ages.
It s really amazing! Haunt was really fun and the staff if really nice.
I enjoyed myself they're very much. Hadn't been there in a long time and I was just as great as one of the first time
Place is a staple. Took my first date here. Now I can't go back
parking is too much expensive and sucks at this location. I totally avoid this place if I needed to go for a fun day and rather drive to disney land. The parking should be free of cost.
It's a fun place with a variety of rides and water rides. They added new rides that look fun, especially the Rail Blazer.
The management tries to nickle and dime you for everything. They also don't allow you to bring food with you. There are food options, but all of them are fast food and not healthy. Pizza and fried food that's salty are the main food items.
The water park is really fun especially on a warm day. The season pass is a great deal, but eat a healthy meal before you come.
