I have lived near PVH for over fourty years. I worked in nursing service at UCSD Med several years. Although PVH changed management different times and even been called Death Valley by a few, I always believed in PVH. I received top treatment everytime I was went to ER or admitted. In April 2020 while I was admitted for diverticulitis infection. I ended up also having to receive additional treatments after testing positive for covid. NOBODY in the world seemed to know how to best test whether nasal swab (which company had the most accurate and fastest results etc.) deal with positive test result verses positive with symptoms or just how to handle this at that time.
PVH nurses, phlebotomist, laboratory, x ray techs, respiratory therapist, janitors, food service, and security personnel displayed that they all were still the best of the best! I discharged after fourteen days and went to stay at extended stay hotels in Mission Valley paid for by my sister Kathy who is a administrator at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. My relatives bought 4 dozen donuts from Winchell's across the street from hospital to give to the PVH staff (on the floor where I stayed for 14 days ) I only marked this review with 4 stars because the ADMINISTRATION of PVH people confused me several times. The social workers informed me they set me up to go to hotel all expenses paid for two weeks after my discharge. The administrators retracted that promise and sent poor social worker to tell me that a day before discharge. No place is perfect. Sandra Washington Harrison.
