Retirement is a complex series of equations. And before we started down the retirement road, we didn t even know what questions to ask or what equations would lead us to our answers.
I recommend that anyone who is considering retirement have a conversation with Nate Butler. It wasn t just that Nate has the answers that we needed, it was that he also had the patience to explain (repeatedly in our case) complex ideas with care and precision. I wish that every person in the throes of planning retirement could find someone like Nate Butler, in whom they could place their trust and feel secure in his knowledge and in his commitment to find the best possible solution.
Nate went above and beyond answering our questions; he explored every possible scenario in which our retirement could play out. We were amazed to learn that he only shared about a third of the plans that he worked out for us, offering only the most productive results.
Nate had the answers to the questions we needed to understand in order to move forward with a comprehensive and cohesive plan that would meet our goals. Nate often thought about our questions before we did, even though we had questions for days that turned into months. He was utterly patient with us, allowing us to ask similar questions again and again until we understood what each decision would mean for our long and short-range goals. We feel so good about the choices we have made because Nate explained them to us over and over until we could speak the concepts he explained with fluency.
Retirement is a far more complex process than many of us are prepared for. Everyone should be so lucky as to have a Nate Butler in their lives that can help them find the most ideal answers for their particular situation. He is truly a master.
