This is not a resort. We stayed in the 'villas' which are comparable to a double wide trailer from the 90s. Accommodations are outdated, worn, and slightly depressing. Do not come here if you are expecting a resort experience.

Units were clean and extremely well stocked. Extremely helpful staff. Be aware that most restaurants in the area close by between 7 and 9 pm. Good access to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

I visited in the middle of winter and the area was very empty but nothing beats the commodities of having your own kitchen. The indoor pool was kept at good temperature in and out of the pool, even when it was 2 degrees outside. I stayed at the Manor and had the whole first floor so we had plenty of space and had 2 full kitchens as we took the 1 bedroom extension to fit the family.

Like living in low income projects. Rooms are outdated and in need of a lot of maintenance. Lights with short circuits and table lamps that are falling apart. No outside area to even sit and enjoy the weather. Carpeted step to step down jacuzzi tub/shower.....very dangerous for older guest. Dishes and silverware in the cabinets and drawers with food particles stuck to them. Guests are expected to clean them and put them back into cabinets and I guess cleaning people don't bother to check them. Probably the worst, I use the term loosely, resort I have ever stayed at and I owned 4 timeshare resorts. Would not recommend to anyone,!

My grandparents have been staying here ever since I was little and I love it everytime. The service is great, the location puts you close to anything you might want to go to but is nestled into a nice spot so you don't feel like the hustle and bustle is right outside your door. Acadia Resort will always have a special place in my heart.

Acadia Village Resort is a nice place to visit for a nice time with family. It has everything you need just a short walk or drive away. The unit I visited was very open and cozy. Everything in and around the resort was neat and tidy. An overall good experience and would recommend if it's in your budget.

Loved it. Stayed in the 2br townhouse unit using our timeshare exchange. The late October weather took a turn towards really chilly and damp so we ended up spending a lot of time inside the place. It was roomy, yet very cozy and warm, amazingly with electric heat. Everything was super clean. The separate jacuzzi room with vaulted ceiling and cedar planking was very cool too. The property is in a great location. Supermarkets, drug stores, multiple restaurants and fast food joints are within walking distance. Highly recommend this property.

The pool area is good, water is warm. The homemade steps going into the hot tub are kind of rough looking. The changing rooms are decent. Showers could definitely use an upgrade. Contact paper on the bottom of shower stalls are quite tacky and icky. Staff is super pleasant and attentive. The exercise room is sparse, at best.

It's in a great location. Very near to local restaurants and stores and close to Bar Harbor without the expense. They have an indoor heated pool. The units are nice and clean and there are different options and sizes to sleep large or small groups of people.

We own a timeshare here, but had never had an opportunity to stay. We finally came for a week in Sept 2017. It was lovely. Our adult children also came to stay for a night each and all loved it! Hot tubs (jetted) in each room, king sized beds, and clean spaces. I also love that we can bring food and have the option of eating in or eating out. We did a little of both. Our unit had been closed for a while and it needed to air out, but was fine after a few minutes. The new pool and hot tub in the fitness center is really nice as well. Played a little table tennis (ping pong) as well. They also offer social opportunities for guests to get together for light snacks and visiting, if that's your thing. Great, relaxing visit. I do recommend for a get-away, or a week! And of course, Ellsworth is right around the corner, and Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park is 20-30 minutes away.

Locate pretty well from everything you want to do, restaurants, shopping, groceries, and all activities. The townhouse, condos are clean and spacious. Amenities are ok, there is a tennis court, and basketball court, pool, jacuzzi, and picnics tables with 4 gas grills. We came as a group of five families, we all ate outside almost every evening. Overall, I will definitely make the trip from NYC to stay here again. Also, thanks to the staff for exceptional service.

I've been staying at the resort for three years now. We usually stay for a week long vacation each year. Every year I go To Maine we stay here because it's clean and quiet and a great place to relax. If it rains during our stay we can always enjoy the indoor pool or jacuzzi. It's in a great location within walking distance of anything you'd need. I highly recommend staying here and going for a nice hike in Acadia National park and a night out in bar harbor!

This place is a dump. Believe it when you read one star reviews. Talk about the projects! Bathroom sink clogged, so we had to brush teeth, shave etc. in the single kitchen sink. Furniture old, worn, soiled and of inferior quality. Television gets 10 channels,,,, when it's working. Lamp shades dirty and torn. Kitchen is really a kitchenette in the villa we had. Of course they assigned us to the crappiest one they had, despite us booking this place in October of 2016. When they offered a "townhouse" there was only one catch. The townhouses aren't air conditioned. It's over 80 degrees here during the day. To be sure, we took pictures of all of this in case there was a question of our truth or veracity.

We traded into this "resort" through Interval International and promptly called them to complain about the accomodations. Their response was to refund our exchange fee and give us a "bonus week". In all fairness, I hold Interval International responsible as well, since there should be a minimum standard to qualify as a resort. Well, long story short, in order to salvage an otherwise ruined vacation we ended up paying for a place in a completely different town. What a disappointment!

In the spirit of honesty and fairness, I would be remiss to fail to mention how nice Elisha (sp) was. Despite her best efforts, she wasn't able to remedy our problem. She did offer to move us to a different unit the following day(when it became available), but we elected to avoid further disappointment, cut our losses and go elsewhere. Again, she was very sweet, apologetic and put in a very precarious position. Shame on these folks

Stay as FAR AWAY from this place as you can. Don't get suckered in like we did. There is simply no excuse for this place and we will NEVER be back!!!!!!!!!!!

I have stayed with AVR at least 3 times. Always clean and well cared for. Appears to have had new siding up since I was here last which gives a beautiful inviting exterior. The only problem I have...every time...is with the TV. But I really didnt come to watch TV. AVR is one of the resorts included in Interval International timeshares. AVR has 2 bedroom townhouse style accommodations with a giant whirlpool tub in a sky lighted room on the second level. Full sized stocked kitchen with all you need except your groceries! 2 parking spots per unit. Close by shopping, restaurants, and town center. Lovely folks who operate the timeshare.

We are staying here on an exchange through IIC. The unit is spacious but ... the living room furnishings are in dire need of replacing. The area rug is dirty and stained and the couch and recliner give a whole new meaning to "shabby chic" Better yet, just call it shabby. The couch is so dirty we put a sheet on it before we sat on it. I'm giving it 3 stars because the unit and the property is nice and well built.

Been coming here for years. Was always great get-away when $$$ or travel time just wasn't in the cards. The rooms are nice and very homey, the hot tubs take a long while to fill up but if you have the time, and on vacation.. you should. The pool and the staff are pretty awesome too! Always a good time.

It was a quiet resort with pleasant staff. Our only issue was the very dirty bbq grills. We love to grill and we were unable to use them the entire time we were there. We brought it to the staff's attention twice, and they were never cleaned.

Staff were awesome! The building left a bit to be desired. I don't think there is any sound insulation between the floors of the units. Every time someone moved in the unit above us, it sounded like a herd of elephants.

We stayed in a town house it was very nice however there is no air-conditioning in those units. The furniture in the living room needs replaced especially the sleeper sofa it was like sitting on the frame very uncomfortable. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Not located far from business's. Great area to stay.

We love having an amenities use membership! The pool is amazing and is the warmest in town. The locker rooms are clean and well equipped. The game room is lovely, we especially enjoy bringing lunch and playing ping pong. And the staff is so friendly and informative!

Can t bring pets in villa. They are dated but nice and quiet during the off season. They let me park my 26 ft rv during my stay ( all near by camp grounds closed) the location is great. Finelli Pizza within walking distance.
