This place is a classic old timey neighbourhood HW store, with a remarkably complete inventory and very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Plus Cdn owned! I go here instead of the big boxes whenever possible.

I am so proud to call Pape Home Hardware my local hardware store. They have been doing a great business all through the pandemic! Delivering quality products curbside... and all with a smile and helpful efficiency. (even during this complicated and busy time I got an email from one of the staff letting me know they were still trying to get a supplier to special order a $4 part for me.) I can't say enough good things about the friendly knowledgeable staff at this location!

Recommend going elsewhere, even Home Depot way down at Gerrard, over using this store.

Prices seem alright. Selection is just okay despite the place feeling cramped. Floors are always slick during winter, and not just by the door. Staff seem eager to want to help, although with so many people staffing such a small store, I imagine that's just from being stir crazy and wanting something to do. I've walked in on multiple staff standing with nothing to do. Interactions with staff were always awkward and/or robotic, and once one had the audacity to lecture me. Environment is not well lit and generally cluttered - if the idea is to mimic my neglected garage, they've succeeded. These observations are from 7-8 visits since the place opened a couple years ago and have been consistent with no noticeable improvement.
