The property is very nice, although a little older in some places like the elevators. The lobby and entrance were both clean and looked high end. The attached restaurant and spa also gave a high end feel. Our first room was not properly cleaned, we found a random used water bottle and there were a ton of smudges on the sliding glass door. The shower didn't work and we found out after check in that all of the fridges in the rooms were stripped and turned off. I was advised that to get a new fridge(which the room description on the website, confirmed ahead of time with guest services should be included) was going to be an additional $35/night. These concerns were discussed with the manager who transferred us to a new room which was of the same quality sans water bottle. One of the guards at the bottom of the hill was hostile with my husband each and every time he came back. Rather than asking if he was a returning guest, like the other guards, he aggressively asked if he could help my husband. We only had breakfast in the attached restaurant once due largely to the lack of service we were provided. We were not given any refills and we watched as other guests were asked if they needed anything else/refilled water cups etc. We were so dismissed that when we finally got our food, the server left and didn't take note that we had no silverware. We had to wait until he was in hearing range for my husband to flag him down to ask for cutlery. The experience was only partially salvaged due to the supervisor on duty giving us a discount on the stay.
