I understand things can't be perfect all the time ...

I understand things can't be perfect all the time but if your business is a high end hotel/golf course I think clean glasses, clean towels and attentive service in the restaurant would be a given. Our room was smaller than the pictures portray, but had a wonderful view! The cabinet where they keep the little fridge was so hot I was half worried it might catch on fire, in fact, I put my wet shorts in there to dry! There's no screen on the door to the balcony and we got mosquitoes in our room, plus the sliding glass door was filthy. The alarm clock went off at 6am but we didn't set it. The big framed picture in the room had smudges of hand prints on it, all these things mads me wonder how clean the room really was. We made a reservation for 2 nights but only stayed one, for the reasons stated. NOW, the good parts...it was a gorgeous hotel. Big entryway with an awesome stained glass ceiling and a glass elevator. The spa was closed but would've loved to had the chance to check it out. The Poke tacos were yummy!! Breakfast was good but their salsa needs a bite. The pool area was nice but their pool towels reminded me of our gym towels in high school, we needed 8 for 2 people!! Ha! The service phone in the pool area didn't work so we never got any service there. There is a cool cable car that is not in service and if you don't go roaming around, you'll miss it. Elevator's were interesting, if you are not a fan of elevators you will get sweaty palms ha ha ha! It is a very lovely place but the flaws are too much in the area of what a place like this should be. We will be looking for a different, but comparable, place.
