After having left Jumeirah Public Beach in disappointment, this souk and its surroundings came as a pleasant surprise. Good quality shops in the souk, although definitely designed for Russians, as expensive furs were everywhere to be bought. Some restaurants have great view on the internal canal and the Burj Al Arab. Have your gold (or better black) card ready here as prices are high.

It has the madinat theatre and some restaurants that we had to walk for so long to find. Also some coffee shops and terraces for eating outdoor. I think it's linked to the al qasr hotel also. There's an artificial lake outside which looked nice and boats to go on rides.

One of the coolest places in Dubai. The place offers an amazing view of the iconic Burj-al-Arab. There are several restaurants and cafes in the area. One can take an abra ride in the canal . The architecture of the souk is noteworthy, but the prices at the shop were tad expensive (as compared to other shops in Al Fahidi area.
Overall it is a one time visit.

Compared to other Souk this is very organized, has air conditioning and is nice to walk without the harassment of the vendors. However being in a place surrounded by recognized hotels is more expensive. In my opinion it is not a place to buy souvenirs but to walk it, browse the products they sell, have a coffee or eat in one of its restaurants there, additionally for the guests of the surrounding hotels there is a small boat. Those who are not guests can also book it at the Souk information point.

Another place where the essence of tradition is felt especially where a man artistically draws camels, sunsets, very beautiful experiences. We want to come back to Dubai. I recommend Dubai to everyone reading, it's hassle free, we hope other cities learn from them

This is nice, a bit confusing though is the layout is maze-like to me. Lovely to sit and have lunch with a view of the water canal. I do prefer the original old souks down by the creek though.

the wooden ceilings bring back in time, it looks like an ancient Souk, like everything in Dubai very clean. As soon as you enter you are invaded by their unmistakable oriental perfumes; sandalwood, Jasmine and rose inebriate you. Elegant pashminas in cashmere of all colors, typical clothes of the place are beautiful, adorned with pearls and sequins, and then souvenirs of all kinds and finally the beautiful antique shop with inlaid furniture in really beautiful mother of pearl.

One of my favorite places in Dubai. Stunning views of Burj al Arab and serene views of the water canal. Makes you feel for a brief moment that you are in Venice. Green and fresh. Plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Steakhouse, Italian and Turkish I believe. A Costa is there too. Romantic bridges over the water. Plenty of souvenir shops inside. And authentic feel of the Arabic lifestyle with European views. Majestic glimpses of Burj al Arab through the palm tree leaves. You can hire a small boat to get you down the canal and enjoy the beautiful views. Definitely a place to visit and enjoy. Highly recommend.

One of nicest places in dubai. Completely artificial and built as purple bubble for tourist, but clean, big and nicely done. And sellers are not pushing and nagging which is big relief, you can actually look at stuff!
Plenty of shops, few restaurants, canals with boat ride. All feels like disneyland, just with shops

It is a very large shopping complex that is designed to look like a traditional market place in Dubai.
You will find some really unique souvenirs that you can purchase like Lamps, Idols, Perfumes etc.
There are shops where you can buy authentic Gold, Diamond, Platinum jewellery.
If you get tired by walking in the market, there are some really great Restaurants/Bars where you can relax, have a meal and then resume your shopping.
You can also take a boat ride in the lake that surrounds the Souk.
You also get a really good view of the Burj Al Arab from here and you can take some really amazing pictures of it.
