Greeted in French which is cool. Ordered a ham and cheese sandwich. Costed $14.00 + and honestly i would never pay more than $6 for something of that mediocracy. Very cool place but the sandwich and the chocolate "cake"... more like sponge. Was nothing close to special. Tres dissapoint.

Go for the thickest hot chocolate and authentic French bites, some from across the shores! And don't forget to try a piece of the Calissons (hugs) and hear the story behind it from the owner...

We're so lucky. A neighbour was aghast that I hadn't gone yet. I can see why. Americano - delicious. Baguette, just what I recall from Tuscany. Madeleines - addictive, my wife took them away from me to save some for the kids lunches. So here I sit, aggrieved however consoled by the fact I can stroll down to the end of my street and continue the affair.
Now that we are properly introduced - we plan fully exploring what other treasures this little gem in the east end has hidden in plain sight.

Highly recommended

A lovely selection of French pastries and treats (imported directly from France I understand). The croissants are great and the Calisson d'Aix are amazing.

The owner is pleasant, speaking to everyone in French if they are up to it. And she'll tell you amazing backstories about all the goods.

The products are rather expensive though.

Lovely place with all products sourced from French artisans. Owner is very kind and always has time to explain and recommend something. It is apparent she loves the shop and it comes out in the quality and presentation.

An excellent selection of the best France has to offer. The owner perfectly embodies that uniquely French form of graciousness that shows a total commitment to French food culture. Its as if you've somehow magically walked into a delightful little shop in France, the kind you remember years after you've forgotten the Louvre. As a semi -regular, they remember me and know what I might like.

Much of the selection are what I might call gift-purchases: lovely jars of fancy mustard, pickles or fruit syrups. for special occasions, you can order pastries in advance.

Their croissants are the real thing , not just made with real butter but french butter from French cows eating French grass.

This cafe is done in classic Parisian style and is well known locally for their authentic French treats, imported weekly. The Crossoients are delicious and so are the chocolates. The staff is pleasant and quick to educate shoppers about the decadence and authenticity of their products. It's a very small space though so if you have kids, better to do take out than dine in.

Yum Yum Yum

Yum Yum Yum

This adorable French cafe has a simple menu of quiches and cheese sandwiches that are very reasonably priced. The patio only sits 4 couples and inside isn t much larger. The decor brings you to the streets of Paris. Everyone who works here has a French accent and it felt like we were on vacation!
We both had the Normandy Baguette with Brie which was simple, but delicious! The portion was exactly the right size!
For dessert (impossible to resist here), I had the lemon meringue tart which was incredible!
Hubby had the Brittany plate that came with wee tarts, cookies and caramels that were handcrafted then shipped to this shop.

My only complaint was that my iced Americano wasn t very good and not something I d try here again even if it was served in a wine glass which is super cute!

We will be back, for sure!

One of the best places in the city for pastries. Everything is imported from France and baked in store. Just the right amounts of sweetness, richness. When we crave desserts, we make a trip there from downtown. Worth it. Cute hidden gem

Super happy I found out about this place of a treasure in the city. The owner greeted me and was very welcoming. The mochaccino and chocolate almond croissant were delectable. Looking forward to coming back and try other treats on the menu. Brought back fond memories of my travels in France. Thank you Christel!

This traditional french store used to be located near our home at Yonge and Eglinton and we were devastated that it had to move due to its enormous success and need for a bigger store front. Try as we may to find a better chocolat fondant or butter croissant it was futile, now we trek down to the Danforth as often as we can to get our fix. You will not be disappointed!

Such a warm place with warm hospitality. You really feel like you're in France in this little place. There are specialty products that you won't see anywhere else in Toronto maybe even the whole Canada. Angelina's hot chocolate and the 3 King's Cake (during Christmas time) are to die for!!

The owner takes her time to educate customers on French ways and advised me which chocolate to eat, how to savour it, and how much to eat. I know there are many schools who do their field trips here.

Very good customer service at this interesting French-inspired bakery and imported goods shop, although I was uncomfortable the owner was not wearing a mask. Locally-made pastries were tasty and are recommended, but the imported cookies at cash were stale, and the mustard multi-pack appears to be expired. To be fair, it can't be easy for a retailer to have a high-turnover of fresh imports during Covid-19, so we understand, but perhaps that could be better reflected in the price. Worth a look.

It's a lovely place! The best desserts and coffee, and also lunch. The desserts are not overly sweet (unlike industrial desserts that are just condensed sugar...). The owner seems very caring and dedicated to what she does.

It's a real European pastry place!! The owner is from France and she greets you in French! All decorations remind a little piece of Paris where people can sit, drink their coffee and talk without any rush. A great selection of pastries, candies, soups and other stuff. It's worth going there!

Wonderfully authentic French goods and cuisine imported from France! The staff are bilingual and are very warm and friendly. You can dine in or buy produce right from the shop. Just a note: the location gets busy fairly quickly so seating sometimes becomes tight.

Incredible food here. Top notch pastries, sandwiches, and cheeses. Chatty, friendly staff. The patio keeps chairs turned diagonally toward Yonge Street which is great for people watching on a nice day.

What a cute little store and such a treasure trove of French products! I popped in to grab cheese and their selection of French cheeses is really fantastic. They even had ones that I have had a hard time procuring during the pandemic. Definitely worth a visit. The owner is very helpful and has great suggestions for pairing.

I love how the owner greets you in French as you walk into the store! Extremely friendly people. Had a macaron for the time and it was delicious. Absolutely loved it - as did my friend who came from France! The whole shop was very authentic - the owners spoke French (and English) and the pastries were wonderful. Be aware to spend a little bit more than what you re use to for these pastries, but they are definitely worth the cost for they experience you re getting. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a taste of French pastries and delicacies in Toronto!

Most amazing imported chocolate and pastry goods, and even cheese !
The work they do to represent France's culinary culture is tremendous here and you feel France's best picks in one spot ! This type of culinary collection is for France itself, something very rare. Love to stop by and fill up my French childhood senses here, definitely recommend for the curious pallets !
When COVID bans the trip, just come there and you will get it all !
Definitely recommend !

A great addition to the Danforth. After growing up in this neighbourhood my whole life, a nice cafe to buy authentic croissants and other delicacies is an amazing treat! The owner was beyond friendly, she greated me in French and continued to speak in French while I replied with my intermediate level and was always open to questions about her products. The chocolate almond croissants are to die for and the espresso is cheap and delicious! Definitely grab a seat on the terrace outside and you will be transported back to Parisian seats while soaking up all the sun in Toronto. The waitress was extremely kind and diligent as well! This place has an incredibly friendly vibe and has now become my favorite place to grab a coffee and a pastry on the Danforth. After returning from Paris, I have been searching for a place in Toronto that matches the quality and expertise of Parisian bakeries. Thank you Douce France for making that possible!

First time visiting Douce France. We tried a variety of pastries and Chocolates (Raspberry Tart, Lemon Tart, Cheesecake, Almond Tart, Leek Quiche) - loved them all.
The lady (my apologies, I should have noted her name) was very nice. Exceptional service was provided. We will definitely go back again and highly recommend.

It has by far the best pastries in Toronto. Coming from someone who's partner is french, and who lived in France, I know what I'm talking about. I miss the one on Yonge Street :( Glad to see that it still exists, and I'll come visit soon :)

I love everything about this place. The pastries are made with the highest quality ingredients. I come here before or after my wellness appointment and am always impressed with the consistency of my experience. I am always warmly greeted and feel very welcomed. They have a small seating area towards the back and a small patio as well. I always stay to enjoy my pastry and espresso. If you are looking for authentic French pastries in Toronto, this is the place!
