Your window display stopped me in my tracks! And the wall of headphones... Focal!? HD800?! PS Audio?! This placard even made my grumpy spouse chuckle. Bravo, eh.

I have had two demos in Oxford Audio, and have made two purchases. The first was of some headphones, as I was thinking about ditching speakers and going for a fully headphone-based setup. But I was not impressed with any headphones, even the very top end stuff, so stuck with speakers. The second demo was of ATC speakers, which I bought there and then, and have been very happy with. We also bought a turntable from them.

But... the customer service is very hit and miss. I tried telephoning on a Friday to arrange a demo once, thinking I'd upgrade my amplifier, and whilst somebody answered, they told me they were busy and would rather not talk about it on the phone then as they were setting up for a weekend event!

So I then tried emailing with the same enquiry about possibly upgrading my stereo amp, and nobody ever replied.

Finally I went in, and was recommended a Rega amp (which I'd never heard of but, after going away and researching it, retails at many multiples of my ATC speakers), and was offered a home demo when the amp came back in store. They said they'd telephone me the next day to confirm and... surprise surprise, the call never came.

I get the distinct impression this is a store only interested in customers wanting to spend megabucks and everybody else is either tolerated or ignored.

We visited recently as we needed some help with a pair of headphones, and we were delighted with the outcome. You don't get better service than you do with these guys.
Every time we visit Oxford Audio, they are always friendly, welcoming and interested in discussing our requirements, from a 50p fuse, right through to a pair of super high end speakers.
Their knowledge is second to none and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Oxford is really lucky to have a business like this as part of its retail offering.

Excellent service and advice - even if over the telephone.

I went along with my husband as he wanted to go primarily and we were already there to register our daughter's birth. He seemed happy with the selection of headphones, and the young man at the counter promptly picked up on me not really wanting to be there, and offered a seat and a tea, and then assisted my husband. He was obviously very knowledgeable, so five stars for excellent customer service

A great choice of the very best high end hi-fi equipment. The team are not remotely dogmatic - I find they listen carefully and tailor their advice very carefully to what suits me best. The truly outstanding feature of Oxford Audio, however, is the personal aftercare. I have found time after time that whatever needs or question I have they spring into action to do whatever is necessary; I can't recommend them highly enough
