Hmmm...I miss when Overly's was at it's original venue...it was miles of lights, employees were meticulous with the tiniest of details. From when I was a little girl sitting in the lines for a peak at Christmas magic ...to now...eh! We have gone to Hartwood Acres in year's past instead of Overly's. Once Hartwood stopped doing the Christmas light display we returned to Overly's. After going again last year we have decided not to go again. It is true the train display, gift shop, concessions, talking Christmas tree, bonfire, and horse drawn sleighs are magical and wonderful. . . overall it's been declining over the year's. The main draw to the attraction are the Christmas LIGHT display...and honestly...most of the lights are burnt out...the display never changes or adds anything new. It's sad to see something that was a family tradition when I was a child has dwindled and gradually burnt out for my family tradition and our children! So so sad!

This was horrible and not at all how I remembered it being as a kid. When I was a child I remember this place being much longer and full of lights and amazing. Claiming to have 15 acres of lights, I think not, unless you count the area we drove around to get into. As an adult this place was highly disappointing. There were cardboard cut outs of things with lights around them and some lights not even functioning fully. After being in line for 3 hours I was expecting this place to be like I remembered it, also being sponsored by KDKA a local news channel you would think it would be much better. I drove in a circle for at max 8 minutes to see the disappointment. I miss Hartwood Acres and very much wish they had not closed it because for an hour drive I much would have gone there than to this disappointment which could have been done out of my own backyard and been much better. The only solace that I can give myself is that maybe some of the money went to the local animal shelter that was gathering donations because 15$/car for this is not worth the wasted time and hours of my life I will never get back

If you go, DO NOT- pay the $20. The drive around is like less than a quarter mile and their Christmas music radio has tons of static, and the $4 parking is not a far walk at all. I literally couldn t believe that the light drive was over when it was for $20. The village is cute but most of it is ways to spend more money on junk and food. Kinda a waste of money and the drive out.

Long wait to get in, displays were below average and far from being worth $20. I can see drive around any neighborhood and look at their lights for the same enjoyment. Overall very disappointing evening.

Really nice light display. We go here every year. They have horse drawn sleigh rides, hot food, hot drinks, Santa, kids play area, and a bone fire. Our 2 year old loved it. Lines can get long to enter but it is worth it.

The Westmorland county fairground always has a lot to offer!
In the summertime the fair is small and quaint but very cost friendly, once you pay for your entry fee all the rides are included the animals are well-cared-for and seem happy and friendly. There are always cute shows to watch and unique demonstrations.
During the wintertime this fairground transforms into a Winter wonderland fit for the North pole! With a live manger set/petting zoo, Billions of lights and Christmas displays horse and carriage rides and of course face time with the jolly old man himself... Should you get cold daring your adventures there is a roaring Bon fire ready to roast marshmallows at!

Cute. Small. A lot of burnt out lights. Displays never really change. Stores are cute, decently priced. Horse drawn carriage, fire pit, kids play ground, nativity with live animals. Santa. Not really a fan of this place I prefer oglebay over all. I'd rather drive through lights and listen to carols. If I want to walk kennywood is way better. $18 is a bit much for what you get here. We were only on the property for about an hour. Not really stroller friendly.

It was not as much as I expected but it was cute. Not a good idea for young kids in weather below upper 40s as it's all outside and it gets cold quick. I didnt like exposing my little one to the cold for that long, the drive thru lights were very quick, overall a let down and for that I can't give 5 stars.

Ignore the negative comments.. This pkace is awesome!! We go every year and it just keeps getting better. The horse sleighs are fun and the bonfire.. If you drive a ways to get there get out of your car and walk around so dont say its to short if you dont plan on spending time on all they have worked hard on every year..

I noticed there was no where near the crowd there this year as there has in all the years past. Things must stay the same and people are tired of seeing the same old stuff.
Normally the line to get in are 3 4 and 5 rows deep EVERY night within the 2 weeks b4 Christmas.
This year if i even saw a line there were only about 10 to 15 cars in the line. Not even a complete row.

We were very disappointed by this show. It was a very long wait for very little lights. I suppose that there may have been more entertainment outside of the driving path but we were unable to visit the village due to 3 of our guests having leg injuries. It would be a good experience to someone who has never seen a light show but I will not be wasting my time going back.

It was such a wonderful experience with the family. The lights were so beautiful. You can choose to drive through to see the lights and leave and or see the lights park and get out and walk around which I recommend. It's such a great place to take the kids. There was a train they could ride.Take a picture with Santa. There was a gift shop and candy store.A stand that sold funnel cakes, deep fried oreos and cheese fries and more. There was a fire going near a little playset for kids and a sandbox to play in.They also have a carriage ride you can go on.So much to enjoy!

We go every year usually after Thanksgiving. They have a nice display and after you see the lights you park and go inside the grounds and they have the General Store and food places and other displays. They also have a place you can buy hamburgers and hot chocolate. Then you can go over to the camp fire and sit in front of it. They, also have horse and carriage riding around the grounds. We enjoy it. Hope you come and enjoy it also.

Always a great experience each year with the family. We enjoy the lights and all the activities available for the kids and adults. Be sure to get there early as that will allow more time as lines can be long from arrival thru various activities.

I've taken my children to Overly's Country Christmas every year over the past 5 or 6 years (its pretty much become a family tradition) and every year is just as great as the last. Their Christmas lights are absolutely beautiful and the kids are always ecstatic about getting to talk to "Henny" the talking Christmas Tree! After walking around to see the animals, we stop by to get their pictures done with Santa, before stopping by the gift shop and finishing off our visit with some food and steaming hot chocolate!
For an additional price, there are horse-drawn wagon and sleigh rides (that go around the village to see all the lights) and a small train for children to ride on.
If you get cold and want to warm your hands up or if you just want to sit down and relax for a bit, they pretty much always have a nice warm bonfire going with log seating all around it.
I do and always will recommend to anybody/everybody to make the trip to Overly's during the Christmas season and take advantage of the Holiday spirit and beauty they have to offer!

Very disappointing. Drove an hour, waited in line for an hour and it took all of 10 minutes to drive through very a generic light display. The steel snowmen were the best part, and they weren't even lit with Christmas lights. The train display was interesting but not overly exciting. We walked through the park and store and bought fudge then left. It might be better with little kids since there was a playground for them, the talking Christmas tree, etc. My son, however, is 14 so it was not a good fit for us. We typically go to Oglebay but thought we'd give this a try instead this year. Never again -- I'll drive the additional 1/2 hour to have miles of light display, a zoo, a glass museum, a planetarium and a synchronized light show at night to Christmas music...much more to do for every age not just little kids.

don't waste your time and money. hour and a half wait for a few, very dated displays. the entire thing is less than a half mile long, with an unimpressive number and variety of lights. there is not much to do inside either unless you want to sit around a tiny fire with limited seating, or pay additional money so your children can ride a toy train in a circle for 2 minutes. overall a huge waste and you can view more lights on many of the houses in the area. stay away.

Horrible business . Rip off should let you know it's a very small display to drive around. If you are only driving it should be a small donation not 20 dollars for a circle of lights. Need to let people know you wait for 2 hours to get a supposid special parking spot . Need to display not a light display. Very disappointed in taking others money like that. Some people can't get out of car die to handicap and babies .

I couldn't take my stroller in the stores or train display. There wasn't anywhere to sit down and eat food purchased. We got hot chocolate in little styrofoam cups without lids and it spilled all over the stroller, diaper bag, purse, and on coats. The train and horse and carriage rides were expensive. The price to get in wasn't bad. $20 for a carload.
