Outreachy is an internship program that aims to support diversity in free and open source software. Outreachy offers three-month internships twice a year - during summer and winter - where interns work remotely on projects related to free and open source software. The internships are paid with stipends ranging from $5k-$6k USD depending on location. Interns also receive mentorship from experienced professionals in their field who guide them through their projects.
