Good, central premises in old building, cup of coffee.

Good space with the most modern IT, with good air for many hours of meeting.

Simple place for meetings, with food, coffee and cakes.

Oslo Congress Center is a place that is very nice and nice. As for Christmas, anyone in a difficult situation can get there from Christmas Eve and even Christmas Day to celebrate Christmas with tremendously good Christmas food, there is also entertainment, presents and lots of fun. Many rooms, large capacity, food and central location

Perfect course / conference local in central Oslo. Occasionally a little cramped for space, and quite hot in the summer heat.

A nice big space for events, they also provide good friendly staff.

Alternative Christmas 2016 Alternative Christmas is a 24-hour Christmas event in the People's House in downtown Oslo. Guests are drug addicts, homeless, lonely or others who fall outside the traditional family Christmas. From Christmas Eve to Christmas Day, the door is open 24 hours a day, and everyone is welcome to light, warmth, entertainment, friendship, conversation, food and drink.
Alternative Christmas is run by an association, and everything from administration, operations and all hosting is on a voluntary basis. Donations from the private and business community make it possible to serve guests good food and drinks and to offer them entertainment, singing and walking around the Christmas tree. If needed, they also have the option of a hot shower, clean clothes and a bed to sleep in for the night.
The event was first held in 1969 [1]. Henning Holstad took the initiative for the first event and has been the leader of the event committee every year since its inception.

A great and big room. But one big thing where you can keep courses for many people. There are also smaller halls for smaller conferences and courses. There is also a kitchen on site, so if you rent one of the cow rooms, you can also order with food. They are also so kind that they lend their premises to alternative Christmas. Something I personally think is absolutely amazing. Then those who do not have so much and drug addicts can celebrate Christmas.

Fine conditions for a conference and just that. No aha experiences or particularly good facilities.

This is actually Labour Federation building, which also accommodates Congress center which can accommodate 1000 People

Crazy to have courses for thousands of people where the majority are overwhelming eg women. The toilet queue was forever. Otherwise very pleased with the congress.

Nice place for meetings. Lovely food for lunch. Pleasant service.

No reception (without walking in to one of the house areas). Easy to get lost in the corridors.

The large hall has good sound and screen. Becoming chaos in the foyer at major events.

Very nice place. Obviously perfect for a conference. Clean bathrooms (important to me), and they store your coats and bags if needed.

Starting to get tired the dishes, - they are good, but are the same year after year.

Every Christmas, unfortunately, many do not look forward to this holiday season, as most others celebrate with family and friends and often have old traditions. Only in Oslo are there so many who are all alone and have nowhere to go. So then it is so wonderful that there is an event called; Alternative Christmas. And it is arranged in the Oslo congress center people's house. I have been there myself and it is a unique event. This year marked its 50th anniversary. It opens on Christmas Eve at 15-16. There are volunteers who stand for everything, and when the doors open there are always some decorations and flowers that are not in place, so then those who come can help to decorate and decorate. It is open for 3 days in a row. They have a dorm, if you get tired and want to sleep. Many of those who come are homeless and live on the streets. So it is a great opportunity for many who are dreading Christmas, to come here. And it's just coming as you are. Everyone is treated equally. When you come downstairs there is a long counter, where there are cheerful and nice people who spend time with their Christmas celebration, w / family, friends and children, who stand there and welcome everyone. You get a ribbon around your wrist with a number and then you can hang your outerwear and any bags / bags. And it is taken good care of. Then you walk to the second floor, the stairs are full of flowers. There are so many flowers and decorations that everyone can bring home 2 Christmas Day as it closes in the middle of the day. That's all you can think of for Christmas food and cakes of ice cream and other goodies. There is nothing missing here. And it gets full all the time. So this is probably one of the most beautiful Christmas celebrations in Oslo. Next Christmas is there again, and you must sign up as a volunteer. Or come to celebrate Christmas. This must be experienced.

Very exiting jungle of stairs and random rooms. Fantastic for conventions and meeting, especially if you want different groups in different rooms. Smells old.
