One of the most useless things I have witnessed ever is the Oshawa s power customer service, you can try but you will never be able to reach them and after hundreds of attempts you still don t know what to do.. that s disgusting

they promote the self serve options but most of the real issues require you to call (and they are arise frequently at least since i moved here). getting a hold of somebody is very very difficult. no call back feature either. when you do get a hold of the staff some are impatient and try to get you off the phone as quickly as possible which i dont think is good practice since it is already difficult to get a hold of somebody. it took them nearly 3 months to send me my first bill. i established a pre-authorized plan via the self serve menu shortly after and they did not make an attempt to take the funds from my account but they charged me late payments anyway. they're also not enrolled in PADs with banks i.e. if you want to manually pay it via your bank so your only option is to really just call to get this resolved. I see many customers are going through similar experiences as I have, which i hope they do something about it.

Would be nice for someone to pick up the phone regarding account issues and sending me a bill for someone else's address. How can a problem be corrected if you will not pick up the phone?

Edit: Was able to eventually get through to someone after calling 10 times (it will auto hang up on you if all their services reps are on the phone, wait times are not a thing apparently). The issues were fixed I think. As for how someone else's bill was added onto my account I would like to know how that happened. If you ever have an issue with Oshawa Power be prepared to trying calling for at least an hour for an issue they overlooked.

I Have a matter that can't be dealt with online and needs to be dealt with by customer service. I've been calling for WEEKS. And there's absolutely noone to answer the phone. Then I'm getting past due notices and credit bureau forwarding notices in the mail...
Well maybe if someone was there to fix my issue..... There wouldn't be a balance. Never seen this level of unreliability in a city's power company. Mind boggling.

Awful, awful, awful. You try to call to understan...

Awful, awful, awful. You try to call to understand your bill, your online account and your paper bill are both different and too confusing to understand. The phone number just hangs up on you. How do i understand my bill? Where is my previous payment? No one will ever know because this company is so poorly run and managed. But if my bill doesn't get paid I can guarantee you they will shut off my power... The province should shut this company down. There is no way that the 1/10 level of customer service they provide can be legal.

EDIT:
So after the 6th time of trying to call i finally got someone. VERY helpful and apologetic for my being hung up on. It's a swift reminder that the people on the phone are not responsible for the lack luster management they are under. This company should be grateful for how talented their representatives are and the management should removed imediately and replaced. My bill was corrected in the end after my first payment encountered a OPUC systems glitch and was improperly applied to my deposit instead of my account.

If I had the option to give 0 stars I would. How do you speak to someone there? You call, get a recorded message that all of their agents are too busy and then, instead of being put into a queue...the call just disconnects with a lovely message asking you to try back later...embarrassing.

I have tried contacting them for several days to set up a new account, either it says they are too busy and try back later or it doesn't ring at all. I have tried setting it up online and get an error message. This is so frustrating, I've now also sent an email so we will see but I don't have high hopes.
