Veggie & carne asada tacos are my FAV.. Love the plantains as well
The breakfast burrito with chorizo is delicious here. Overpriced at $10 but it's very tasty and the fresh made salsas are phenomenal. Had the drunk fries and a torta on different occasions and both were tasty and had a unique take. Lost a start because at the price point I want a bigger burrito or something truly one of a kind. Street parking can be hard as well.
Did not like the seasoning they put on the chicken tacos... And on top of that that place is way too expensive to get some decent Mexican Feud
I was a little disappointed because I've eaten here before and at the Venice location and it was really good, but this time it was mediocre.
Love their food and their churros. The wait is not bad the only drawback about this place is the parking. If you want to get out and about quick you might find it difficult because either you have to find parking or park on one of the parking structures nearby.
Excellent and fast Mexican food. The burritos and specifically the chorizo burger are amazing.
Expensive AF. I come from the east side of LA and our tacos are better and affordable.
i can't believe i just paid $3.75 for such sub-par tacos. the veggie tacos were especially disappointing. and they don't do "special orders". overall very disappointing.
Woah, I've been on LA for four years and had never been here. What a great menu also. Big fan and I will be coming back!
Chicken Tinga, Flame Grilled Chicken and the Barbacoa are almost things of fairy tales.
Did you know your mom that can cry from joy?
Well it can't, you're just salivating again.
Have been here a few times, and enjoy the food. Last thing I had was a carnitas bowl. The meat was tasty but the bowl overall is pretty plain. It could use some some added elements; like some corn or cilantro. I wish the added avocado wasn't so expensive. I also have enjoyed the burrito and nachos in the past. Overall, it's good option for a late night meal, especially with the easy parking here.
Breakfast burritos are great here. And the salsas have real flavor.
The best mexican food in Culver City! I had their salmon taco and veggie taco and both were great! I wish I would have ordered a 3rd one!!
In there like swim wear
Chorizo breakfast burrito hitting all the taste buds
Good outdoorsy dining room, with excellent access to the tasty salsa selection
Chicken Torta is amazing might be probably pricey But they complement you with.a unlimited aguas Frescas refill
What sucks is the parking
It is the best place. They where so nice. And there food was so good. And it is a chill stop for teens so just chill and eat. And it is the best
It WAS fantastic. The past few times I've been there with friends, after recommending it profusely, I've discovered that their ingredients have become increasingly compromised. I most recently, discovered that the breakfast burrito with "veggies" uses FROZEN VEGETABLES, which I am quite sure was NOT the case before. I only noticed because it corresponded to a very noticeable decrease in taste quality. This combined with the fact that they won't listen to my requests to prepare things "Well Done" or "Overcooked" no matter how politely, clearly, and consistently I ask them. I've even tried plying them with increasing tips at each purchase. But heyyy what can you expect from a non-sit down restaurant. Oh well! It was a lovely place while it lasted!
Once again, so glad I read about food because I never would've known this place had opened near my apartment! I walked over on a Sunday night for dinner with a friend.
FOOD:
- baja fish taco - very good! Really crispy, not too oily or heavily battered with this super good sauce on top
- veggie taco - black beans, corn, bell peppers, guac and some other stuff. Very good! The tacos are all made with homemade (I think) corn tortillas that are delish!
- plantains - very good. Not overly sweet and served with this sweet-tangy crema
They have a variety of salsas, the hot one is actually very nicely spicy and the medium one is a smoky salsa.
SERVICE:
Friendly! The girl who took our order was very helpful with recommendations and our food came out quickly.
VENUE/PARKING:
You order through a window and your food comes out through a pick up window. There's counter seating along the side and a decent amount of tables. We walked over but parking should be easy enough to find along Venice and on the side streets.
Open until 2AM!
Oh-Em-Gee..... I had a carne-asada burrito, just meat, cheese and rice, deeeeelicious..... The asada meat was so flavorful and so tasty, yummmmie yum #illbbacc #extrasnexttime #carneasada #burrito
A walk-up Mexican joint serving up gourmet standards: tacos, Torres, burritos, and bowls. The tacos are good but not great. What's a must have are the house fries drunken style with cheese, guacamole, pick de gallo and choice of meat. It's best to share because they are decadent but best version of carne asada fries I've had. Outside seating. Street parking or the lot that actually lets you out right there if you cut through the back. They serve plantains with cream which are delicious as a dessert. Or go with the stuffed churros.
Food Is Delicious, Kind Of Pricey For Mexican Food, But Worth It, The Service Is Great!
I like their Torta's and the fries are the best in the area.
Amazing all around Mexican food and also dessert!!
MY GO TO SPOT
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Culver. Maybe on the pricier side, but good quality. Definitely order the drunk fries!
Machaca quesadilla and the breakfast burritos are insanely flavorful. A little pricier than other nearby options but way tastier
The food here is okay but overpriced. I had the carne asada burrito and the flavor was pretty good but felt like the ratio of carne to rice was poor. There are better taco stands nearby.
Had me a few Tortas in my time, by far one of the best thus far.
Got the fries with steak and guac. Cheap portion with the guac. It was a teaspoon!!
Best tacos in LA. The Green Chile are the best. Also, churros with cream inside are one of the best desserts I've ever had. I don't know how this place wasn't busier. Should be a short wait for food. Also, fries are also worth getting.
I always come here to eat with my friends and every time there s an issue. I went to the Bank of America that s just around the corner (like I always do when I come here) there was a really big line I was there like 5 minutes maybe 8 and when I came back to the restaurant to eat, my car wasn t where I parked it. The manager had called to tow it out. They should really be less racist because I noticed the absolute change in atmosphere every time I come in as a Latina woman in here. I wait about an hour almost two hours to eat here everyone else gets their food fast. There s always an error in my payment. I am attended very rudely. Yesterday was the last straw.
If you re going to be serving Latinx food then learn to not be racist and discriminatory to them.
Great food. No bathroom, small sizes, expensive. No good customer service. No parking.
Probably the best breakfast burrito I've had. Definitely go bacon.
Drunk Fries!! The prices have gone up but what can you really expect heh. excuse my pic, I started eating before I took a picture.
The best tacos of my life. Will go there first when I'm back in LA
One of the best Tacos I have had in LA. So good I tried a torta and loved it!! The tortillas are actually hand made and the sauces were made in house. This is the real deal!!
For what it is, good food! Spicy. I had to eat my Torta with a fork and knife.
Food is excellent however a little overpriced and sometimes takes FOREVER to get your food. Love their hot sauces.
One of my favorite places on the west side for burritos and tacos. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu
Sooooo good. I've tried lots of things off their menu but the chorizo breakfast burrito really stands out as one of the best I've ever had. It's a cute little stand that does get a lot of noise from traffic and parking can be tough, so I typically order takeout. 6 out of 5 stars on the food though; I find myself coming back again and again.
Little brother of the Venice location in terms of the menu but just as delicious.
Had the breakfast burrito with bacon and devoured the whole thing! I'll be back soon to try more.
great food, was glad to find this place open in the morning for a chorizo burrito because not many restaurants in walkinf distance nearby.
Awesome food! Love the fried plantains too. \ ( ^_^ ) /
Quality and flavor are there, but I have definitely been to hole in the wall places in different parts of the city, where the quality was just as good, but a lot less expensive. But it's all about location. Their patrons are willing to pay top dollar for the food, more power to them.
Always ordering from this place their burritos are so good and home made or something out of this world
A couple wobbly tables, but nothing is going to deter me from these delicious burritos.
Such flavorful tacos. Love all the meats and always try to get as many as I can. If you're tired of tacos, the sandwiches, burger, hot dog, and plantains are also great options.
Excellent joint for late night authentic Mexican food.
Best breakfast burrito in LA. Go with the bacon and get guac on the side with chips. Chorizo is good also but not the same level as bacon
Great local spot with their own take on Mexican food.
Absolutely fantastic breakfast burritos including veggie, just a tad on the pricy side
Their food was so good! I got the asada burrito and plain churros and baybee it was very delicious. I had to write a review. I haven t had food where the whole meal was bomb in so long. Good job! You got it right!
Cerveteca is a Mexican eatery in Culver City. It is really a window with people cooking in the back, but there is outside seating and the place is very cute.
I am sort of wobbly about this review. It is between a 3 and a 5. I went with 4 because that seemed fair to me. I will try them again, and maybe I won't be so indecisive.
5 Stars for their salsa. They make it themselves. You won't get something bought at a big box store here. They make it fresh and they make more than one kind. You can go from mild to why did I just put that in my mouth. It is all great. They also make their own tortillas and I love that. Now, I have had better, so 4 stars for that, but great effort. Mine, flour, was a little doughy.
4 Stars for the pork. It is very good. A tad dry or it would be 5 stars. Their tacos are super yummy and their burritos are a good size. Also, 4 stars for pricing. It is a little pricey, but they make their own salsa and everything is fresh. It is also in line with the area for the most part.
3 stars for service. They had to remake my burrito 3 times and I am not thrilled with that. It was not hard. But the people were friendly and I see that they are trying. Try a little harder, it wasn't that crowded.
Overall, I really liked Cerveteca. I think you will as well.
This place was really really good. Fairly simple menu, outstanding taste execution in presentation. Took an out-of-town buddy with me there and he loved it almost as much as I did. Gives a beachfront kind of vibe, although there was a line it was short and very quick, food only took about 8 minutes to make.
I had the torta last time, but everything I've had on the menu is very good, I definitely recommend this place
