Delicious! I'm vegan so I ordered the McHenry roll with avocado and a tempura roll and it was beyond delicious. While staying in the valley for the summer we did curbside many times. Best sushi in the area - is what I heard and believe.
The food was delicious! However I should have just taken the food home, the floors at our table was disgusting, I have no idea the last time it was mopped or even swept but I did not enjoy my time in there. I should have taken pictures but didn't even think to.
Not as great as it once was ...new owners portions are smaller ...service is adequate...but 7 months ago would have been 5 stars
I've been to a lot of sushi places in Modesto but this was my first journey here. I will be back! Definitely ranked up top of my list for go to sushi restaurants in Modesto.
This place is nice and roomy, the food was enchanting and the rates were very fair. quickly, productive service and very amiable staff members. Will definitely recommend this spot.
BEST sushi in town, period. Great service, consistently good food. Kenny and his wife Jenny know all their customers and greet to personally. Liz and Kanya provide superb personalized service also. This place can get very busy but is always worth it.

This is a good restaurant and very rich. For the same reason it is busy and you have to wait. The same when you order to go.
Sushi was light on the fish, and heavy handed with the sauces.
We ordered 3 rolls and couldn't tell the difference between them. The liberal use of 3 different sweet sauces killed any other flavor.

Love this place. Sashimi is very fresh and excellent quality. Try the salmon roll with soy wrap. Price is very reasonable and service is always with a smile. This is one busy sushi house so be prepared to wait no matter what time you go. May i suggest takeout which is just as good. I highly reccomend Osaka to get your sushi on.

I got you on Facebook Osaka! I love your sushi bar and I go straight there most of the time. One of the main sushi chefs at the bar is so talented and artistic! Every time I dine at the bar he is so friendly and when he hands over the rolls I find a radish on the side carved into a rose or an animal. And of course the rolls are fire! Firecracker is my favorite roll Happy new year!
From the first time we visited Osaka's the atmosphere and the obeisance was perfect.... the staff was very friendly, the service was awesome, the food was out of this world DELISH...

I love Osaka! The service is great and the sushi is to die for. I also love their dinner plates. Especially the Unagi Don! Everything is served in just the right portions. The miso soup and green salad with the house dressing are both incredible starts to the meal.
The food was great and they accommodate children, which is rare for a sushi place.
Great fresh taste. The appetizers are good the service is fast and responsive...the plating is amazing. Will be returning soon

Under the new management, my rating for Osaka Sushi has decreased as compared when it was owned and operated by Kenny Wong.
I ordered a meal to go for the family today including seafood teppanyaki, caterpillar roll, miso shrimp dinner and tempura. It included the usual dinner items: miso soup, rice and salad. So, only these items will be judged in comparison to previous outings.
The #1 difference we noticed was lack of seasoning. Everything needed more salt. The tempura we imagined was just flour and water, utterly bland. The shrimp in both the tempura and miso dinner were overcooked and had that distinct rubbery texture. The seafood teppanyaki had less fishcake as compared to previous management; the octopus was over cooked and needed to be cut or tenderized and as a result was also rubbery and difficult to chew and the onions seemed to be just thrown in as in slightly raw. Before the changeover Kenny's staff would at least partially caramelize the onions. The sushi roll was also a disappointment with a lower quality standard. The cuts on the fish were thin to less bang for the buck there. The only thing right was the steamed rice and miso soup.
Overall because of lower quality standards and lack of seasoning we are decreasing our rating of this restaurant to a 3 of 5.
Didn't love it. Staff wasn't very friendly. Food wasn't great but alright.
1st time but very good food ! Will come back for more!
