Orlando Lutheran Towers Review

What is the process of hiring staff? Do you review/ research staff to find if they have physical or mental abuse on their public record?

My Mother is in Common Building with Hospice. What absolutely amazing Nurses and Staff. Her Doctor was really great too! I mean everyone working there I have had contact with including *Security and Cleaning Staff have been so kind. *(We do appreciate knowing it's a safe place too).
The care she has been given has been wonderful.
Our Family appreciates this more than you know. It's a difficult time and knowing her care is in good hands means a lot. Thank You and God Bless.

A good Rehab and Nursing home. My Mom had a hip fracture and has slowly improved. Like any other facility, daily visits from family make sure your loved one gets excellent care. You can t leave your Parent and go on with your life visiting on Sunday. Most staff are well trained and like what they do, and that s the point, finding a place with overall good, positive giving staff. They seem to hire well here. Good location and parking for visits. Excellent admin staff. Good food and activities. Clean !!

If you're researching a place for yourself or your loved ones, please be aware that there is a construction project being proposed for 14 stories of affordable housing to the side of Windsor Place on 404 Mariposa that will entirely block sunshine and fresh air for residents there. Owners of Lutheran don't appear to be opposed so long as they can get parking spots for their employees as part of the project. Keep that in mind, when you place your mothers and fathers here- especially if they're with Alzheimers or under memory care. If approved, their windows will face a construction site for some time, then a parking garage. See below. Short building in the shadow is Windsor Place. Red building is the proposed project adjacent.

I think this is a wonderful place. Excellent staff. Friendly managment and Cathy is a wonderful person. Caring and gives a 120%.

Orlando Lutheran Towers is the absolute worst nursing home facility that I know. The management at The Commons are terrible. After numerous complaints that went unattended regarding my mother s declining health, including several infections that she contracted from the facility, the lack of attentive care from the doctors, nurses, and don t even talk about the CNA s just plain rude, neglectful, and just plain lazy, we ve decided to remove our loved one from that dreadful, foul smelling, terrible place. The CNA s and nurses pretty much allow dementia patients to tend to themselves with little to no aid. They also allow patients to go with their diapers unchanged for hours unattended. In addition, they don t really aid them in eating, and did I mention they re rude. After complaining to Amy the head manager over all the floors, Kathy The Commons manager, and Michelle, the human resource manager, without any assistance or improvements regarding our family s concerns, we ve decided to remove her from this awful facility. They lie and act as if they care about your concerns and do absolutely nothing about it to address the issues. They act as if they re in cahoots with each other opposed to to addressing your concerns. It s just terrible regarding the lack of care at this place. I would advise anyone that actually care for their loved one to STAY AWAY, the conditions there along with the lack of care are just plain horrible.

It was a bad experience trying to communicate with admissions.

Wouldn't send a relative here for any reason - this is more like a Medicaid nursing home than 4 star rehab. Our loved one was there less than an hour before we rescued him. The staff we met were friendly but the facility is old, dangerous and only 3 staff members on duty at night for 50-60 beds. I've had many relatives in facilities over the years. This is the only one so far that brought me to tears.

Wonderful place to work but staffing Liz is rude and don t know how to talk to ppl but her type of ppl she treats better. But other than that wonderful environment HR are very helpful and listening to ur problems and concerns. Clean place

I am student learning to get into the healthcare field and they keep a high standard of the facility. Great place to start foundation for a career.
