This was a beautiful venue to attend a formal event at. The building was constructed around 100 years ago with funding from Carnegie. There were lots of interesting busts, and beautiful stone architecture throughout.

The building exterior and grounds of the Organization of American States are absolutely gorgeous.

The art museum was small, but fascinating. Changing exhibition of Roberto Huarcaya's photograms was marvelous!

The food was good, although the servers could use an attitude adjustment. all in all a solid place to eat lunch.

Quite a historical place. I had no idea there is a museum onsite with art from all over the Americas. The main building itself has lots of charm and character.

Fantastic place to visit. Went there for an evening event. The service was superb and the food was spectacular. Had a really nice time and hope to go again.

This organization reflects its members idiosyncrasy. Therefore might be a little bureaucratic but it's very old and still strong. If it had the power it should have it could really make a difference in the region.

Called to get information on a Lecture series - Lecture by Prof. Tanya Hernandez - "Racial Innocence in the Americas: a U.S. - Latin American Comparison" to take place at OAS Headquarters, Washington, DC at 1 pm at a specific venue to be confirmed and there was no operator to assist, just a recording that provided no information. Since I could not make it to the OAS, I called about the lecture webcast, to get a call-in number, no operator, just a recording which provided nothing. I missed the entire program and it seems the no one cared one way or the other. Too bad, I really expected better than this form a reputable organization!!!

Well, yesterday we heard the name of this organization for the first time on TV here in Brazil. They are trying to vilify brazilian cops that killed some bandits in Rio. Cops are our only hope against organized crime, we already have lots of NGOs that defend bandits, drug dealers, etc, we dont need more. So plz leave us alone.

Finally got to see inside the building, and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful lobby/atrium, and amazing great hall. If one gets a chance to visit the OAS on 17th St., one should take advantage of that chance.
