Orange Tree Golf Resort Review

Slow service, not as advertised online: construction and remodel noise, slow rude service by wait staff, bell boys and front desk were accommodating, no pool bar as shown online, and fitness center left a lot to be desired. Parking was a scarcity as well. Outside area with bar and food closed at 7, could not even sit out there after that time with lights on, everything turned off. Mainly just really disappointed with the resort for what we paid. The room was very nice and good for what we needed.

They put limits on your AC. It was 110 degrees outside and they refused to set the AC lower than 85 degrees.

It was clean and they were polite and pleasant but we found the shower to be terrible. The water flow and pressure was so low, washing my hair took forever . We would of preferred parking closer to our room . It was a long walk late at night especially when it's chilly in Dec.

Nice rooms at a nice resort. Wish the rooms had a little stove to go with the microwave.

Friendly staff, always willing to help you, comfortable accommodations. Only issue was water pressure in shower, not very good.

Outdated and run down Hotel that looks like it hasn't been updated or maintained for decades. We had a 7 day trip booked and upon check in immediately realized we would not be happy at this location. I Asked for an early check out and a six night refund, which was granted by the manager Josie.
After not receiving the refund I called to find out when it will be processed. Josie - the manager, said she will approve a 5 day refund instead of the original 6 day. She claimed I stayed 2 nights, which I did not, and she was very condensing. Stay away from Orange Tree, not worth it, and the Manager is very rude.

Only stay here if u like to walk a lot, wink, wink.

I really loved the layout of the room. It was super spacious and very comfortable. Tons of seating! The pool was also really nice and not over crowded. If I am back in the area i would definitely stay here again!

POOR condition of the "resort" golf course paired with unimpressive staff and additional charges for amenities included at other recently visited resorts left our golf experience at Orange Tree in a total feeling of Disappointment!

Great place to gather or for a round of golf but don't bring a nice car because the parking spaces are to close together .

Course Marshall hassles players to play faster, even if they are not playing slow. Not sure I'm going back.

My room at Orange Tree Resort was clean, well appointed and had more space than I expected. The staff, especially at the front desk are quite friendly and are willing to help with anything you might need.

Not bad. In a place where there is so many other amazing golf courses to play, I d skip this one.

If you're here for golf, it's probably fine. If you rent a car and like driving places, it probably fine. Big rooms. Well water. I typically don't rent cars. We're people who usually walk or Uber everywhere. This just wasn't the place for us.

Right in the heart of Paradise Valley is this lovely golf resort. The rooms are all suites with kitchenettes. There are huge spa tubs, a lovely covered patios; some with course views. The dining is handled by an outside company, but they do a really nice job and the prices are low for Scottsdale. Call the desk for a ride to the main building as some of the buildings are far flung and do not have close by parking. Outstanding customer service and professional staff.

This was probably the nicest accomodations I have had while traveling. Beautiful rooms with bathrooms to die for. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. This is the only place I would stay while visiting the area

The location was easy to find and navigate around. We did not stay in any of the rooms but they looked nice and comfortable. The event we attended was very fun and would highly recommend. It was entitled Murder and a Meal.

Great service, welcoming receptiont, room was clean, comfortable with fridge and microwave. Hotel location was very convenient near restaurants and stores.

Beautiful venue, but spotty internet. The rooms are old and some meeting rooms smell like chlorine. The food is decent.

One of the 'coolest' courses in Phoenix during hot summer months. Plenty of shade available with all the mature trees surrounding the fairways. Staff are very courteous and helpful. Some course maintenance is ongoing.

Stayed while in Scottsdale. Clean, efficient unit, huge, empty outdoor pool. Close to amenities.

Went to Murder and a Meal here. It was a lot of fun! But there are a couple caveats to be aware of. You are told that Murder and a Meal is a cash only bar. I found that they take cards. You are also told that it's formal attire. Jeans and a nice shirt worked fine for me. These are not bad things, in fact they improved my experience, but I think that you as a reader should be aware.

Very nice rooms and resort. Parking is not convenient to rooms, especially on weekends. Kitchens are primarily a fridge and microwave. Shower pressure is regulated, but a call to maintenance can improve that.

Met a friend for dinner at the patio lounge. Nice enough atmoshpere. Very limited menu, especially if you require gluten free.

Not what used to at a Wyndham? On the lower quality, 0 room service, room cleaning, no stove, oven all around low quality.

Everything is perfect, room is nice, the area is quite amd Nick Armanetti ( guest services manager) dose a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier with everything

Superb! Great service, great rooms, great facilities. It's not a 3 star hotel; it's a 5 You may pay a little more, especially on the weekend, than your chain hotel, but the value for your dollar is far better! Go an enjoy!

The rooms were well appointed. A little bit dated but overall a very good experience. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful.

Booked this exchange months ago! There was never any information provided about pool repairs or gym closure. When we checked in, no heads up. Yet two days in, they closed both for "emergency" repair by posting the doors. What a bunch of hooey! They are resealing the concrete at the pool---this is not emergency work! The management offered an alternative hotel for pool use but no shuttle or transportation to get there. What should have been relaxing by letting the kids go spend time at the pool now requires us to shuttle them around (like at home). There was no offer made to comp dinner or drinks--nothing to mediate the inconvenience. I Recommend you plan to stay elsewhere----this place cares only about filling up their rooms. Now that we have had the opportunity to look around, there's other alternatives nearby with nicer amenities and better service; do your homework. Management/staff here is a disappointment. No place to park near your unit/no elevators to upstairs units and be prepared to be diverted to the guest services so they can try and sell you ownership. I do not recommend this place to anyone wishing to relax and enjoy their getaway.

Course was in very good shape and Hospitality was also very good

The outside space is kept up and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful, but we miss the old Shell Vacations Club hospitality. Room was spacious but loud. Upstairs noise and outside noise came right in. Perhaps a 2nd floor room would be preferable. Parking for the property stops at building 3. I don't mind walking, I'm a runner after all, but if you're in building 7, you have quite a ways to haul your luggage and belongings.

We stayed at the orange tree resort in February 2018, we did not have any prior reservations and made our reservations at the front desk. The front desk staff person was very friendly and helpful. The resort itself was very clean and well kept, there were many staff members cleaning and available at any time. The rooms are spread out along the golf course in buildings 1-8. The only downside to this is that the parking lot ends near buildings 3/4 so if you are staying in 5-8 you have to walk or get a ride from one of the staff on a golf cart, which was fine. They are all very friendly. Pool area was clean and well kept, since we were there in February it was not very busy but the hot tub was warm and the pool was very clean. The rooms are all 1 bedroom villas with balconys or patios. Our unit had a king bed, jacuzzi tub, separate shower and bathroom area, living room area, kitchette with full fridge and spacious balcony with seating. We were very impressed with this resort.

Truly a 5 star experience. If you are coming through this area you must stay here at least once in your life whether you like golf or not. Whomever has funded these facilities has presented one of the best experiences I ve ever had staying in a resort hotel or now air BnB. The opulence and attention to detail speaks for itself and provides an incredible atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy yourself.

Good family resort. Good value. Big rooms enough space for the whole family. Close to shopping and hiking.

Had a great time at the Orange Tree. Nice facility with friendly staff. Attended the Murder Mystery Theater. Lots of fun with that too.

Went to a wedding here and it was a pretty nice venue for the ceremony and reception with nice views on the golf course. We did not stay here so I cannot give a full review, but a nice place for a wedding!

Nice one bedroom condo with efficiency kitchen, mini frig and microwave. Bed was average for comfort. Pretty big pool with hot tub. Parking next to condo very limited. Walking required most of time.

I should up there for a professional event and the staff is very helpful and accommodating

Played golf here Friday 4.22.2016. Super slow. We got stuck behind a scramble tournament. And we also got stuck playing through aeration in progress...

I've been there many times to golf and it is a great course.

Potential brides be aware of this location. Its definitely not worth your time or frustration. They only care about taking your money and when you ask to speak with general manager TJ Futch, he wont answer or respond to any form of communication except email. When asked for legal contact information we have been denied.
