Overpriced, so-so food. Terrible parking. We came for Easter Brunch but we won't be back.

Wonderful dinner, great night. Gorgeous sunset and views.
Consistently good food, great service and excellent views!
Great. Pam's surprise Birthday. Great staff food banquet room.
Very nice place to relax and have a drink with beautiful views
Very nice happy hour outside under the heaters and $6 glass of wine. Can't beat that.
We come here every year for my mother's birthday, the salad bar is probably the best in Orange County. The filet mignon steak is amazing get it with blue cheese crumbles on top. Make sure to make reservations and Get There Before Sunset. If you get there before your reservation you can go in the bar area without purchasing anything and just sit and talk and chat or have a glass of champagne or a soda while you wait for your reservation and I'll come get you and bring you into the main dining area.
This bar and restaurant has a fun theme that reminds me of Frontierland in Disney. Specifically Big Thunder Mountain. Great for weddings.
This is a favorite destination. I would typically rate it with five stars. Something, not quite sure what, was off the last time we visited. my wife has always loved the Miner's Filly with their Bearnaise sauce, I love the salad bar and the Shark or Swordfish depending on what they have when we come.
The flavors were not up to their usual high marks for either on this visit. The Swordfish had a "blackened" type of treatment, which I normally would love, but didn't this time. My wife was disappointed with the Bearnaise sauce and her steak, again, just not up to its usual high marks.
While the food was still passably good, it would not be worth coming back for given the length of time we have to drive to get there from home.
In the last two decades, we have never been disappointed until now. We may give it one more shot. But if we feel again as we did this last time, we will opt to go somewhere more local where we can rely on the food being up to high marks.
Endless salad and soup Bar, plus it comes with every meal. Top notch location that clearly appreciates a grand view
Excellent service and great food! I loved the atmosphere!
Delicious quality food , all you can eat buffet. Recomend going on sundays for brunch
Great service, atmosphere, food as well as the best date night with my honey, Thank You!!!!!
Had my 20th Bday on April 9th this year...OMG they gave me such wonderful, excellent service. The king crab legs where spectacular the view was gorgeous I could look at it all day if I could. The sundae omfg It was sooo rich and creamy vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. Thank you for making my 20th Bday Awesome and memorable. I wish I could give you guy's 10 stars .
Brunch was great. Loved the prime rib and crab legs.
Great place to eat, however can be very expensive. Most food choices or either steak or fish. Only special occasions.
Wow! This is amazing and great place. Wonderful service pleasant and friendly the food was excellent and the atmosphere in view simply price less. We really enjoy the and surely be right back.
Reservations needed, $6 valley parking only, beautiful view, spendy, not a full menu at the bar.
Took my family to one of my favorite places when I'm here for a conventiona every year in January.
Was very disapointed in the food this time(August). Everything was over-cooked and dry.
If it would have been my first time coming there, I would never go back. Hope it was a fluke.
Third time having dinner here. Never a dull dinner, especially with the amazing views.
Great views of the city, great rustic decor and okay food.
Good food, great view, and Bianca our server was awesome
The food is really good here, no frills, just your good fish and steak dishes.
Great place for dinner or have drinks and appetizers on the bar. Make sure to get a place where you can enjoy the view!
This has to be one of the best places. Great views, service and food.
One of my favourite restaurants food is good absolutely love the champagne brunch the views over Orange County are amazing especially when the sun is setting . Not exactly cheap and would be nice if change their menu more often otherwise a very quaint place and you must try the champagne brunch
Spectacular view of a mobile home park. Average food. Drinks are expensive.
Sensational view of Orange County! Excellent buffet style food for brunch or order from the menu brunch or dinner. Cocktails available too
Food was amazing, service excellent and the view was amazing.
Always enjoyed the food here. Tonight we had a party of 29 people and the filets were well over done the Ceaser salid was not mixed i had no dressing on mine, so i was not happy.
The waitstaff is friendly and the food is delicious. Steaks are good quality beef and they cook to grade perfectly. Above all, the view is wonderful.
The place is ok, nice and fairly cozy with nice views. The food though is unimpressive. I went for brunch with four other people and nothing was above average. No reason to go back really.
Steak ok, salad bar and happy hour are what you need to try
Great food and fantastic views in a somewhat cheesy coal mine atmosphere. The road up to the place is narrow, steep, and winding so watch out for people who've had a few. The food is excellent, but a little overpriced.
Our server Shay (I think that's her name, sorry I'm horrible at remembering names!) did a great job. She was very attentive and courteous. I had a 10 oz steak that was perfectly cooked, as well as, garlic mashed potatoes that had the right amount of garlic. The view was amazing and well worth it. Oh and the cheesey bread was really good. Overall a great experience with my husband and family. No complaints from any of us.
Nice soup & salad bar, moderately high prices, good view, & great prime rib!
The food was delicious!! Everything from the cheese toast to the filet migon. Looking forward to my next visit. And amazing views from this restaurant.
dined there as a young marine with my new bride. grilled chicken her delight, prime rib my feast. on par with house of prime rib in san francisco. views at night breathtaking. i
did not know it continues to entice the taste buds of the younger generation. well done
ocmc. old marine
Orange County Mining Company is a very elegant restaurant to eat with a spectacular view. I consider it a five star. The drawback is the limited parking space specially if there is a celebration of any kind but inspite of that the food and service is great. Try it and you like it.
Amazing steaks. It's not cheap, but your get a LOT of food! A great deal and a spectacular view. Service is always great
An amazing view and the surf and turf was just as amazing!
Beautiful view of the area. The Entertainment Book has a great coupon, fyi. Wonderful steak, fun bar with reasonable happy hour.
My first time eating at the OC Mining Co was everything I had hoped and more. What a great setting for a romantic dinner with my boyfriend. The view of OC is breathtaking!
Dinner started off great with some appetizers. The crispy coconut shrimp had a unique flavor to it, as did all 3 dips that came with our artichoke. I also loved the cream of corn soup I got from the soup/salad bar.
But best of all was the main course. My crab and lobster were delicious. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor. I would recommend it to anyone who likes seafood! It was actually better than some nice seafood places I've been to. I was very happy with my dinner.
Topped off by an awesome mud pie, and equally awesome service, I can't wait to come back and have another great evening at the mining co!
Great happy hour and salad bar. Limited dinner menu.
Average food, but we liked our server. Not happy that we had to pay an extra $6.00 for Valet Parking. There are plenty of other, nice, local eating establishments that are more affordable. We are now on a much lower, fixed income. We don't go out as much as we used to. Disappointed we picked OCMC this time.
The Mining Company restaurant is a nice place to visit the food was good but was not good enough for the price. My wife Donna and I went there to celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary. The biggest problem I and my wife had climbing up and down the stairs. The restaurant isn't equipped for people with disabilities.
Great view
Friendly staff
Great wines
But my filet mignon was over cooked. We all asked for medium rare and have a little above medium. Only disappointing part.
Terrible service! Had a reservation and still had to wait 40 minutes for a table. Server was harried and ineffective.
Food is extremely overpriced and mediocre at best.
The view from the bar is nice but as a resturant this place is a massive FAIL.
The environment is pretty cool. Decorations and view are very good. Price was ok, but they did get our order wrong after having to remind them to bring it out. Food was good. Kind of a, I'm glad I went but probably won't return kind of place.
The food is great, but the service is hell. The manager Brian is ridiculous and for the price you are paying, you should probably get better service. I wouldn t recommend it based on the service alone.
Have not been there for years. Last week enjoyed a great meal with my son and wife. The food is really great and the view is wonderful. I am getting tired of paying 50-60 bucks for steak dinner and more for sides and salad. I am liking this place better that includes the salad / soup bar and the steak or seafood is just as good and prepared perfectly.
We had beautiful outside dining experience and our waiter was amazing. The food was delicious and the mud pie was so yummylicious.
Happy hour waitress was slow. I had to wait 10 minutes before I was served while waiting to meet a friend for dinner at 630pm at same place. First she served my appetizer without a fork. Was i supposed to eat my garlic fried wonton w/my fingers? She came back w/the fork. Then i asked asked for a napkin. She came back again this time w/the napkin. Very inefficient waitress indeed. Score a 5 stars for the view. 2 stars for service. 3.5 stars for the appetizer.
My husband and I went for dessert only. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by how well they do dessert.
Sadly, the pumpkin cheesecake and the mud pie were both made elsewhere. As in prepackaged from somewhere, not freshly prepared. The mud pie was good according to my husband. The pumpkin cheesecake was blah tasting, not good. I get that COVID makes having too large a staff cost prohibitive so it is very understandable. Plus, the prices for dessert are very modest.
What made me want to run out of the place was the servers were standing inside speaking to the bartender. Four or five men in a semi circle, several right next to each other with their masks pulled down onto their chins or entirely off. Servers are around diners and are hence at risk for picking up the virus. Standing almost shoulder to shoulder in a semi circle without a mask puts everyone at risk.
My husband was contemplating ordering an appetizer but I was not willing to hang around a place that clearly doesn t follow COVID safety protocol. I would have asked to speak to a manager but figured that if this was being allowed that my mentioning it wasn t going to stop it from happening.
The four stars are for the view and the ample heaters on the patio that allowed us to have a relaxing half hour respite from the world.
A definite date night dinner. You get a great view from the hill top. The salad bar is great.
Dont get full on bread or u will miss out on dinner.
Great venue for the wedding we attended, the food was wonderful and the views we're even better. Looking forward to going back for a date night.
I went to eat there with my family and we had such an amazing time...uncle visiting from Massachusetts, his girlfriend, my grandma visiting from Virginia, my nephew, sister, & mom all squeezed into a round booth indoors after enjoying appetizers and sunset. The server was amazing, food was great too.. Like most things is it is whatever you make of it so family quality time together and the place we shared such a great time together .. Five stars for this place
Highly recommend the garlic smashed potatoes. Great portion size. Awesome view as well
Beautiful view of OC, you can watch the Disneyland fireworks from here. I recommend the garlic buttered salmon. Also, the cheese cake is good. The total bill for two is around $60, good bang for your buck! :)
My experience here has been nothing but amazing. The view over the city is "wow". The food is really good and the service is on point.
This place has a great environment that complements the great food. If you are looking for cheap fast food, then I do not recommended this place. However, it is definitely worth it if you are looking for more bang for your buck.
They have really good food, salad bar included in price. Oh yes, they also have a dynamic view.
Easter buffet is over the top! I made my own creation of a crab omelet with a side of prime rib!
Great food and views! My prime rib was some of the best I ve ever had! I would go back again and again. Great place to celebrate or to catch up with friends in normal times. The only issue was there is no changing table in the men s restroom and the one in the ladies room was not functioning properly. The manager came around during dinner to see how everything was and we brought it up to him so it could be addressed. If it wasn t for that I would have giving it 5 stars but the safety issue and convince for a changing table with kids in dippers.
Went to a wedding reception there The View was awesome the service was great the staff was great the food was great overall super place would go there again without a doubt
