Orange County, Coorg Review

A superb experience!

The environment, accommodation, food and service were all excellent. Our self contained hut was spacious with a living/dining room, bedroom, bathroom and jacuzzi. Fresh fruit provided and everything in the mini bar was free - but no alcohol provided :-( Staff were friendly and helpful. They visited the hut several times during the day to tidy and prepare the bed at the end of the day.

Our naturalist guide on the boat and jeep safaris was well informed. His love of the forest and enthusiasm about the birds and animals was infectious, and it was good to know that the Jacuzzi was ready for us to relax in upon our return to the resort.

Highly recommended.

This is our 4th time at Orange County and it's getting better year by year !!! The staff makes you feel sooo special. Food was extremely good, especially at Peppercorn. Their staff Mr.Prateesh deserves a special mention. Ms. Neethu Mahajan tuk very gud care of us right from the moment of check in to the check out. She was there to cater each and every need of ours....Thanks to all for making our holiday a memorable one !!!!

Great place to unwind in the lap of nature and coffee plantation, surrounded by forest, enthral by music of birds, taste the best coffee. Best staff with great hospitality.

Lovely place for holiday..couple friendly place. Have special dinner place on tree for couples.room charges are high.

Worst food ...and food given afternoon and night dinner same menu ..i never expected such service....they taken shelter of carona...

Stayed here for a week and this was one of the best week of my life.Perfect combo of luxury and hospitality.It was totally a unique experience.Everyone should experience it atleast once in their life.

Definitely worth every penny spent. The activities are the best. A lifetime experience . Best hospitality. Will miss all of it when I'm away from here.

Nothing but 5 for this wonderful place! Make the choice right away and book the dates! The best experience ( besides the natural beauty of the place ) is the FOOD! We were transported to heaven at the first bite itself. All vegetables and other greens are organically produced in the resort itself, so be rest assured at the quality :) The staff made sure our trip immensely memorable !

Best Resort ever visited till date and Best location Ever seen in India

Beautiful & serene. It's like a safe haven. Away from the hustle bustle of city life. I had an amazing time here. The staff is awesome and very courteous. They take care of all your needs. Lot of activities to take part in. Or just relax in your own pool in the backyard.

My complete trrip was planned keeping Evolve back as main attraction. Hence it was kept on last stay, Our expectations would have set an benchmark as of Evolve back's class.. and apparently no one could reach to nearby that class of evolve back. This resort stay was a surprise for my wife, and management team handled it well.
At some points even I was surprised. Hats off to you guys.
Yes, this resort is very much expensive. But I believe that to maintain such service, 31 acres huge area, these charges are justified.
I have already recommended many friends of mine to visit this place for at least two days.

We only tried Closest restaurant i.e. Granary. It actually met our expectations. I love the co-ordination between management and Restaurant team. Several food options were available. er enjoyed most of it. Cheers !!.
Also we were surprised with a cake wishing us happy married life. Thanks a lot. we are pretty impressed.

One of the most luxurious resort in india situated in coorg.. gives you feel of immense luxury. Resorts spans over 300acre and the rooms available are just splendid speechless by the facilities provided. amazing staff amazing food amazing room... just love it

Beautiful place with loads to do within the resort. Guided tours and nature walks are organized by resort, a must to do. Do not miss the filter coffee over here.

Beautiful place. Calm and clean. Efficient staff. We went in the monsoon season . Coffee plants and berries everywhere. Stayed at the lily pool cottage. Neat cottage. Good service by Manjula and team.
Post heavy rains booking was quite low. Yet all the activities promised were made available. Often the 'group' was just us! My granddaughter won a prize in the drawing contest. She was the sole contestant! Chef Verghese (Hope I got it right) had a cooking demonstration just for me! And Vinod had a field trip and paper craft activity just for one family! Appreciate!
Food was plenty.at the Granary restaurant. But as vegetarians we opted dinner at the Plantain leaf restaurant on two days. Very disappointing. Expected authentic Kerala style food. No avial, paal payasam or any jack fruit item. Some watered down liquid claimed to be Ayurveda stuff. Felt quite cheated . Their excuse could be that the number of guests was in single digit. But for the guest it is a one time stay.
I was halfway through a Book in the Library. Since it was out of publication I asked to be sent to me to be returned after reading. Instead I was super surprised to receive a pdf copy of the book from the manager! Wonderful gesture! Thank you manager and Ms. Jennifer!
Pricey certainly. But we had a good time.

Awesome 300 odd acers of coffee estate, 35 acers of resort, besides cavery river and plenty of birds to watch. Don't miss morning ride in cavery river, such a bliss

This place is as good as heaven on earth. When you arrive, they greet you with a fresh wet towel and some local coffee delicacy made of coffee candy and coconut milk. The villas are great with a private pool and an amazing view. We stayed in the villa right in front of the lake so we enjoyed the views. While bird watching we were lucky enough to spot the Malabar hornbill. Mr. Murthy, the bird watching expert is very informative and funny. They have nice restaurants with locally produced food and an array of activities that you can attend. I would definitely visit again should the opportunity present itself.

It is one of the most luxurious resorts I have come across. Saying so, it comes with a price tag which is worth only creating memories. It is highly recommended to go through their website to see what all they have to offer and if you are willing to shell out as much.

While Orange County Coorg has 5 star facilities inside the campus , reaching it involves a back breaking journey of 30 kms of potholed road from Periyapatna to Siddapura. One should be lucky if one reaches the facility without back pain after the travel through the rough road. All the luxuries offered by the resort ( which are very good) looses its value if one remembers the journey. Because of this I would rate the facility at 5/10 only. We stayed at the facility for 2 days in October

I really feel nature's natural holiday destination of coorg is Orange county..... being a hotelier Orange county made me to pick few things to implement in "copper edge"

Absolutely in love with everything about this place.

A brilliant place to relax the mind and be at ease. The staff is brilliant and courteous. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Overall had a good stay there - house keeping staff and restaurant staff were very cordial and helpful. But there was a rat in my room and while the staff did manage to catch it eventually, I was told that it wasn't that big a deal because the hotel was in the midst of a plantation and wilderness and so this could be expected. That spoilt the whole experience for me. Plus staff at the time of our departure was rude. So our holiday ended too on a bad note. They clearly haven't evolved - despite their tag line. Unlikely I'll go back there. Try Taj the next time.

The staff was extremely hospitable. Lunch was good for non vegetarians but for vegetarians it was a mood spoiler. The vegetarian food wasn't that great. The overall experience of the hotel was amazing.

The journey to evolve back was a great experience....the way to this resort was surrounded by lushy greeneries.We had received a very warm welcome from this resort.The hospitality was really good.Its a good place to visit on vacay with family.especially childrens will love this place.This place is surrounded by coffee plantations and dubare forest.The stay in the cottage was really beautiful.Provided well furnished rooms and equipments (kind of ancient touch).The main attraction was pool inside the cottage.on every Tuesday nights they performed some sort of cultural activities.Cost of food was bit costly, not bit,yea it was really costly.apart from that everything was outstanding.really loved this place

The same menu was repeated for the lunch and dinner and there were no amenities, there are only 2waiter serving 60rooms if I ordered a coffee it came after an hour in the restaurant the price is not at all worth it, I would rather stay in a 3star hotel

We were always staying away from even thinking of going to this place as others had always talked about its pricey stay packages. But I must say, after our stay here, it is definitely worth the price. Yes for the same expense i can have a small trip to Thailand, but would you get the same service and hospitality. NO you will never.
Its a beautiful resort and its HUGE. The food was amazing too and we are vegetarians.

We stayed 3 nights in heritage pool villa at Evolve back Coorg. We had wonderful time here. All the activities are great. Evening cultural programs were also great. One thing that I loved the most was the hospitality. Every single person was humble and welcoming. My wife and I were not feeling well and they went above and beyond to take care of us. Overall we had amazing time here.
