If you are "foreign" in Pernambuco lands, this stop is essential.
Go by taxi and be sure to have a caipiroska with seasonal fruits. Nothing on the menu is bad, but the shrimp in the moranga "gets sampled," as the locals say.
Enjoy the before or after for a walk in the historic site of Olinda, cultural heritage of humanity.

Mandatory point for those who come to reef and region. Great service and wonderful dishes. Be sure to try one of the house specialties (I recommend Jerimum stuffed with shrimp and lobsters in passion fruit sauce)

This is one of the top restaurants in this beautiful city (founded in 1535). They have been open for 28 years(!!!) in the same location. We came here for their 28th anniversary dinner (and for lunch too).
We ate here twice in one day!
For lunch, we had the privilege of eating their usual menu, which was spectacular. Dinner was divine! We were treated to a multi-course dinner which was other-worldly. Small courses of the best-prepared Northeastern Brazilian cuisine that I ve had the pleasure of eating: the menu started out with 3 appetizers of Portuguese soup, smoked salmon with quail egg and tartlet of queijo do reino; the second course was a ramekin of mushrooms with herbs, cream and truffles (excellent!); the third course was shrimp with orzo pesto & Parmesan; the fourth course was cupim (cow hump) in beef broth with cashew nuts and mustard/Port wine sauce; the desserts were to die-for!: Callebaut Belgian chocolate 5 ways. I can t wait to repeat this experience next year for their 29th anniversary. All these courses were accompanied by wonderful wine pairings. We also got a decorative plate as a gift lovely! All this only cost $R200 ($50USD)!

I participated in the Menu 28 years old, what I did not like was that for dessert I had been accompanying Moscatel or Port wine (according to insert that Oficina do Sabor itself sent me) and at the time "I didn't have" Port wine. Wished for that

Good option for those who like shrimp in moranga. There are several very creative options with a regional flair. The fish is also very good. Cod is not a good option. cost-benefit ratio is not the best.

The environment is very pleasant and has a heated area. For those who do not care about the normal heat in Pernambuco, I recommend staying in the non-air-conditioned environment, as this will allow lunch with a very nice view! The service was good and the presentation of the dish did not disappoint. The food is quite tasty.
It was worth the experience !!

I asked for the employee's suggestion, which was a plate of some Lula rings, 5 small prawns and a 50g piece of fish with rice and common vegetables that cost 108 reais. I didn't really understand the proposal. There is no explanation for this price. Passion fruit juice with orange and acerola, on the other hand, is absolutely brilliant.

Shrimp sausage with lobster in a horrible passion fruit sauce. The tasteless seafood, contrasting with an extremely sweet and nauseating sauce. I'm giving 3 for the entrance of a crab coat ... but if it wasn't, it would be 2 with praise.

Of all the places I've been to regional food in Olinda and Recife, the flavor workshop surpasses itself in front of the others. The price is a little high, but for the taste, the quality, the view and the service is worth every penny paid. The sun meat and beef jerky in moranga is divine!
