I never ever write reviews but feel I must tonight ! My husband booked tickets for my 50th Birthday syrprise, got to say it was the biggest rip off ever! We paid 230 euros for seats in a glorified cupboard!(box on second floor) One seat had a partial view and the other had no view at all!!! Couldn't even see the stage, I could hear the beautiful voices but unfortunately from the back of the narnia cupboard I couldn't read the translation even!!! I am so gutted this was suppose to be a special birthday experience, feel sad that people can be robbed in this way, thanks Scala for a disappointing night :-(

An illusion is destroyed!

An illusion is destroyed!
The world-renowned La Scala has been destroyed for me one evening.
We visited there on 6.3.2019 Khovanshchina / .
The house is feudalistic organized. We had cards in the gallery and were not allowed to visit the whole house. Between the gallery and the feudal area was a barrier and security personnel. We write the year 2019! I have not seen such discrimination of my own guests anywhere in Europe. I wish the one, appreciated by me, Mr. Salvini cleans up here too!
From the horrible staged Khovanshchina I will not report here. That does not contribute to the criticism of the house. Basically west European interpreted waste is indeed set the stage here. Soon, Good Friday and I have left to just a "knowing through compassion ..."

First experience in a stage. Wonderful representation of Verdi's work, an impalpable and indescribable emotion. Experience to be done at least once in a lifetime. Congratulations to the staff who with courtesy and professionalism accompanies the theater guests in the beautiful experience.

One of the world's most famous opera houses. Seeing the show there is a must for all music fans and the performances are impressive but ... get ready for a lot of tickets (they are very diverse so it's worth looking), the audience is very crowded and stuffy in summer. If someone wants to see a great stage and powerful scenery, he does not have to go far - the National Opera in Warsaw has nothing to be ashamed of (the largest stage in the world!) But the opera in Milan has its spirit and it is worth seeing a spectacle there.

Given its history, grandeur, beauty, pomposity and the celebrities who performed here, everyone recommends visiting this theater stage. They were passing and did not have time. Next time sure.

Wow!!

simply the Scala.

simply the Scala.
Those who complain do not know the history of the theater, a theater of the 700 has its peculiarities that make it unique for better or for worse.
MAKE ME BEFORE YOU GO.

Bought tickets for galleria, following v frustrating process. Had registered at home on line at least 3 times and no acknowledgement. Emailed 3 times... no resolution... called prepared to pay for seats on line.
Called to La Scala pm On arrival in Milan and registered again which was checked by man in sales shop. Queued for number at 17.30 and went to buy tickets at 18.00 to be told that I WAS NOT REGISTERED. Went to do again at ticket sellers insistence to be told I was registered. Eventually bought 2 tickets. While they are incredible value, they do say limited view. However there was no view whatsoever. Dashed to next floor just before show started and got 2 seats with a limited view. Very frustrating and took up a huge amount of time.

Unique experience. Even if you are not fond of classical music, I highly recommend going to see a show. The museum on the first floor is extremely interesting. A leap into a glorious past. Not to be missed in Milan.

In this theater I was lucky enough to be able to attend a symphonic concert directed by Yuri Temirkanov. In the program, Concert for Piano and Schumann Orchestra and Orchestral Suite by Tchaikovsky. Impossible to ask for more.

Great venue. I sat in the palco in the front row with my boyfriend. The back rows in certain sections (including the box seats / palco) have obstructed views and aren t worth it, just try to get front seats.

At intermission we got snacks that were great! From the in house cafe.

We also showed up a bit late and it was no problem at all so I guess they changed their policy about not allowing late entry.

Unique place. Worth a visit at least once in a lifetime. I recommend choosing a show. An opera or a ballet. For those not involved in this type of event, I recommend at least a visit to the museum with a view of the hall.

Symbol of Milan for good, it certainly represents the most elegant style of the city. If from the outside, despite the majestic structure, which has recently been charming, all its charm and charisma is enveloped inside. The fine finishes and details enrich an aristocratic environment of its kind, and with its exceptional acoustics it gives a unique experience, to try at least once in a lifetime.

Admission for the tour of the museum and some selected balconies costs 9 per person. In the museum you can see various costumes and accessories from various extensions. There is also a video projection room and a souvenir shop. Externally the building is not impressive.

The acoustics are beautiful as well.

The acoustics are beautiful as well.
The chandelier left me speechless and also very good dancers but I still wonder how they have to be so muscular.
