Worth the visit if you manage to get any ticket for the plays. Be carefull on the cheaper ones, cause in some of them you really cant see a thing to the stage. I had to stand the whole show once. Still they are transparent about telling you the seats with limited view.

Absolutely top. Breathtaking ambience. Orchestra, choreography, set design perfect. Good service. Gripping staging. A wonderful evening that will be remembered for a long time. Unconditionally recommended.

Really quite surprisingly disappointing... the facilities and standard of upkeep is no where near what I had imagined. Compare, for example to the London Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and you will see La Scala is in need of an overhaul More

Hideous from the outside.

Hideous from the outside.

Definitely more beautiful is the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, as well as being the largest ever in Italy.

As always, this time at La Scala a wonderful experience.
In particular, I point out the events for children, sensational, well cared for, unmissable. And at a price at which it is impossible to say no

The whole world knows it ... LA SCALA, historic theater of Milan!
It is impossible not to get excited when the huge hall, the stalls, the stages and the wonderful stage with the glorious clock and the sparkling, majestic chandelier appear! At least once in a lifetime, I invite the reader to indulge in an evening: either a concert, or a ballet or an opera ....

A tourist trap? Maybe. I looked forward to attending a show by the philharmonica here ever since I bought the tickets almost one month ahead. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed that the entire show of a full blown philharmonica was spit out through speakers at loud and very often annoying volume levels.

I would hear the percussionist and look to the left only to realize that the sound was coming from the left-stage speaker and the instrumentist was actually to the right.

All sounds coming from all instruments were equalized, normalized to the point where a gentle bell sounded just as loud as the entire violin group.

The seating in Gallery I and II is ridiculously narrow. Except for the row up front, every other row had its occupants stand up because they couldn't see anything. The top of the seats, no matter the row number, also has a bar that forces your back and shoulders up front.

Although my review might sound very pessimistic, I recommend every one to go and see the place and audit the plays. It is a beautiful atmosphere and a gorgeous place to be in.

One of the best theaters in the world. That's a pity that it is usually closed in summer. However there is a good news too I.e. the restauration process which I have mentioned several years before has been over.

On the left corner there is a pleasant cafe with very kind people. The theater is very beautiful even if the charm derives more from the difficulty of being able to get an entrance ticket than from the extraordinary nature of the structure. It has sumptuous spaces and an internal museum that you can visit, as part of the theater, for a fee (if there is no rehearsal). All highly recommended.

Let's talk about unique places
The only drawback the staff a little haughty and impatient so my 5stelle goes only for the structure
For the rest 2stars.
