Beautiful building with amazing shows. The booths are adorable but you really need front row seats (of a booth) to enjoy the sights and not just the sounds. Utterly gorgeous operas and everything suggests an elite night out with fancy dresses and ones' best jewels to well-dressed men. The service is top notch when helping direct you to your booth or allowing an elderly lady to use the elevator. For English-readers there are 2 pull-out electronic devices under the balcony that let you read along with the opera. Get there early so you can find it! When leaving, don't accept the 'free' roses and good luck snagging a taxi. If you are still up for a nighttime walk, I suggest walking to the Duomo cathedral. It is beautiful lit up at night and there are more taxis there. If you're hungry, there is a McDonald's and some other bars and things on the way there. Overall? Great experience and it left some sparkling memories in my mind!

Little to add to the emotions you can experience looking out from the gallery balconies of this historic theater an obligatory stop for those visiting Milan, it is a piece of history not only of Milan.

The building does not impress, but everything is good inside. Very beautiful theater. Very modern. Crazy scene mechanics. A good, modern light. All representations are fine - good taste at a management. In the stalls is a very small slope - it's hard to see, but there are some good places in the far rows on the left and right and the first row after the passage can be bought. A large orchestra pit - the first row of the ground floor can be bought. But I prefer the 1st row of balconies, 5-6 lodges on the left and on the right - good places. 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd tier - perfectly. 4th tier can also be taken - according to ours this is the 2nd tier the 2nd row in the lodges turns out to be already rather bad - high chairs without backs, but it can be seen and heard well. .

Simply him, the Teatro alla Scala. With its majesty and elegance, it continues to present itself authoritatively over the years.
Although it is true that it is not economically accessible to everyone, there are really many opportunities to find tickets for high stages or the gallery at reasonable prices.
The atrium with its mirrors and luminous candelabras is worth a visit.
An experience to do absolutely at least once in a lifetime!

I'm writing only what I disliked, Scala di Milano worth it 5 stars anyways. We stayed at gallery, first floor. The chairs were incredible narrow and uncomfortable and the view was very bad. It worth to buy cheap tickets for gallery only if you get the first line. In the second and third ones, everybody is standing on their feet, nobody sitted because of the lack of the view.
But the most disappointing was the fact the sound of the concert of the filarmonica it was directed through speakers. I don't know this was the case because it was a modern play and a movie soundtrack or because Scala is so fashionable and famous and has a large auditorium that should be impressed, but in the modest Opera houses I was, I never heard a play through speakers. And I prefer that way, the sound is far way beautiful

What can I say, experience to try at least once in your life !! Vidi Kovanscina, a Russian opera in which my sons participated as Zarrini, heirs to the throne. Wonderful!! Teatro alla Scala gives life to the past in the present! seven stars !!

Awesome experience. Experience at the highest level. A council for backpackers who would like to see an opera or ballet show: it is worth checking when the sale of tickets for a given spectacle begins, as there are several places among the cheapest tickets with great visibility. Of course, they disappear in a few minutes.

Magnificent as always, this temple of music has opened its doors to us on a special occasion: in fact, on April 27th of this 2017 my class, together with others, came to La Scala for STEM, an initiative promoted to illuminate the relationship between economics, new technologies and work; everything, as always, impeccable, from the management to the different didactic proposals.

An interesting museum & opera house with pieces from various performances throughout the years, as well as a range of old instruments enjoyable for both those with an interest in music and the arts as well as those without.

More than mythical place in Milan with a retro aristocratic atmosphere completely assumed. The room is beautiful and yet has not forgotten its popular side: all Milanese can attend performances thanks to some very affordable rates.
