Theater. The beating heart and symbol of Milan, one cannot say that one has really lived the city without having passed through it. Alone with the magic and elegance of the environment, which seems to have crystallized over time, it manages to convey unforgettable emotions.

A particularly beautiful and technically astonishingly modern opera house from the inside. The staff are super organized and very friendly. The only drawback with our visit was that you can hardly see anything from the back seats of the boxes.

Very helpful staff for disabled people.

Very helpful staff for disabled people.
This is not the only plus, because it is just the beginning - the theater itself makes a huge impression, from every angle you can feel an aristocratic atmosphere in which even outside the performance you can feel like we are surrounded by the spirit of history :)

One on the most beautiful buildings of Milan, recently restored, very close to Piazza del Duomo. Two companies play in this fabulous theater: "Theater company" (opera and ballet) and "Filarmonica" (best concertos).

Buy gallery tickets is impossible if you are not really skilled with their selling "system".
No service is provided for that.

The Teatro alla Scala is one of the most important opera houses in our country, both for the history of music that was born and raised among the orchestral and the actors and conductors who dedicated their lives to art, and for history. of our country that has seen some of its most important pages from the Risorgimento and the twentieth century unfold around the Milanese theater. The Teatro alla Scala is a civil temple and a temple of art that shows among the noblest meanings of being Italian.

I bought a not very expensive ticket and arrived early in the theatre.
If you don't have the most expensive tickets, you can arrive early and at the entrance turn left and ask for a better seat (if you can be replaced). There's a table on the left with a computer and you can ask for free for another seat maybe in the stalls (tickets from 100 on).
So arrive early!!!

My husband is the opera fan. We went to a solo performance. It was okay for me; prefer a full opera if I'm going to go. We were first in a box with some *very* ripe Italians. We were actually sitting behind them in the box, which wasn't terrible because we were on the side of the stage, but limited views of the theater. The odor was overwhelming though. Asked to be moved and got a good seat in the floor. It's a beautiful venue and you should at least do the museum and the tour if you can't go to a performance. The museum was excellent.

This is a beautiful theatre, with an interesting history. The exterior is modest, but still beautiful and was built when the facade was blocked by houses, so wasn t as visible as it is today. The inside and boxes are lavishly decorated and once were personalised to each noble family with the coat of arms of each family.
