This building does not look like a typical, traditional opera house, but the overall picture fits. It is a real piece of keel.

Nice productions, great, committed ensemble. Highly recommended. A visit is always worthwhile.

Swan Lake was a very nice performance. Senate at the top of the 3rd rank had a good view. Parking in Kiel is a bit difficult

Is always an experience and unrivaled in Kiel. Is something for everyone. And if a piece suits then go back and spend a relaxed evening. We also do it more often and have never been disappointed.

Come on the pieces, I would say. I was on Sunday the 20.01. in the 4:00 pm performance of the Barber of Seville. It was a reinterpretation, I'm not so into old pieces, but it was very funny. Should you look at yourself.

Super successful Corona version of 'The gardener for love' It was incredibly fun

I liked it very well. The ballet group The nutcracker, very good, also the choir. The only problem is parking.

In addition to many very nice evenings, I would particularly like to recommend the children's concerts on Sunday mornings and noon to parents or grandparents. Our two enjoyed it and still have a passion for music - active and passive. Great explanations for children from 6 to 14 can only be recommended, and the admission price is on the level of a cinema ticket: what more could you want

I went for the open air Opera. Arrangements were very nice but the scaffolding behind the stage was bit distracting

We were extremely disappointed with the performance of the bat. The performance of the actors and the orchestra was really good, although the acoustics in 3rd place left something to be desired. Unfortunately, the cold, completely unsuitable set design and the unsuccessful staging did not match the music and plot. So that was definitely our last visit to the Kiel Opera House. On the other hand, we recommend the operetta performances of the SH State Theater, e.g. in Flensburg.

Medium-sized opera with an excellent reputation, sometimes beyond Germany: "Worth a Pilgrim". Always worth a visit!

A delusional ring! Wagner would have cheered for joy! Kiel would be Bayreuth. Keep it up!

Song recital with Louisa Kilian and Axel Riemann (piano) was good at the top, a wonderful evening.

We saw the nutcracker. Great production, good dancers. The second act was a bit lengthy, but that's because of the story and not the actors. The "gastronomy" is very expensive. 3 for a pretzel or cheese skewer. There was no other ... 3 for 0.2 coke, 7 for a glass of wine ...

So far, it has always been very nice there.
The prices are reasonable for the performers, but way overpriced for the drinks.

We were New Year's Eve at the Kiel Opera House and the musical Fame was performed. The musical and the performers were very good. It was a nice evening.

Wonderful open air performance of "Turandot" in front of the opera house! Always great concerts and many other events. We recommend!

Seated in 3rd place and had a wonderful view of the stage. However, the air was very thin up there. Next time we want to sit below.

A bit old, but with a nostalgic flair. The staff are very friendly. It bothered me that you could hear the vacuum cleaner after the break during the performance in the hall.

Attended Wagner's Ring Cycle and loved every minute of it. A superb achievement for a small provincial opera house.

Bad luck again. In a musical, the instruments should not drown out the voices. I don't like overly modern set design. It is definitely a matter of taste. Other stages suit me better.

Somewhat dusty. But you can definitely enjoy a cultural event.

Don't go there! Went especially to see a favorite conductor as announced on their website. When I arrived (and Kiel is for most people far away), it turned out that this conductor was never meant to perform. They probably left him on the website to cheat people into buying tickets. This is plain fraud. When I asked my money back, they never answered. Oh, and by the way, the opera was very very badly staged, but that's another story.....
