The basilica of Santa Croce in the homonymous square in Florence is one of the largest Franciscan churches and one of the greatest achievements of Gothic architecture in Italy, and has the rank of minor basilica.

Simply amazing, Amazing place. Symbolic tombs of Galileo, Michaelangelo and Others are made, the level of detail this church has is outstanding. Nominal Entrance Fees of 8 Euro is worth. Of course many things have been lost and deteriorated since a huge flood that supposedly happened on 1966. But the church has now a little museum which explains this and other stories Make sure you are not wearing short shorts or sleeveless shirts. It is definitely a must in anyone's list. If you come to Florence you cannot miss this place. Must visit !!

A lot of queue you have to go with time and patience

To see, important, beautiful and full of works of historical importance.

I discovered it coming from one side and I must say that the great square gives way to appreciate its beauty to the fullest.

Unfortunately we can not give more than five stars. How many words have been spent, what to say, wonderful.

Both outside, where you can also find the statue of Dante, and inside where you can find the graves of some of the greatest Italian characters such as Michelangelo, Galileo, Ugo Foscolo and Vittorio Alfieri just to name a few, more there are numerous really fascinating chapels and a beautiful cloister.
In short, there are so many things to see and I think it's really worth it because surely you won't be disappointed by visiting it.
