Too hot ... too bad!

Too hot ... too bad!
We went to see the film Amadeus (super) in the Traveling frame ... film slightly desynchronized and jerky ... but above all a heat to be badly ... at least 35 degrees on uncomfortable and cramped seats as possible.
So nothing beats better suited conventional cinemas.
Indeed the room is superb ... but that is not all ... too bad !!!

The particularity of this opera is the selection of lyric works. The only downside is that the works of Jules Massenet have never been in the spotlight. We would have liked to have resurrected for example "the juggler of our Lady". A musical work of rare beauty. One of the biggest operas of Massenet. He himself thought it was probably his masterpiece.

Friendly staff, efficient cloakroom, cozy place but skimpy lodges. Put five chairs in some boxes is abused. The balcony is also uncomfortable if you have big legs! Then we must also do with the configuration of this place steeped in history and it is a pride to be able to dispose of it.

A space frozen in time with an atmosphere full of history. Whose phonic quality is very appreciable. Room with human dimension where the public of the floor tutoie the stage and the balconies offer a pleasant view. Comfort seats very XVIII!

A very small opera, with an original architecture (the parterre is on the first floor of the building).
But the repertoire, as in many second-rate provincial cities, is not always of very good quality. For great works, we do not really have the same kind of performances as in Parisian operas. On the other hand, there are some interesting French works (Baroque in particular).

Very beautiful building created in 1836

Very beautiful building created in 1836
Located at the town hall square, one of the busiest squares in Rennes.
The town hall square provides access to see the west facade of the Rennes opera house.
The interior is magnificent, the room is Italian.
For the little anecdote there are always people of young cyclists who sit in the entrance markets of the opera house

Room not very comfortable but you can hear very well everywhere and you can see well. The programming is very good: three or more operas each year, baroque concerts and voices from around the world. Reconciliation in progress with Nantes. Well done to the team!
