After having been interviewed and had a preliminary examination at several eye clinics, I had actually given up my hope of seeing well without glasses or lenses. I heard about OAMM and about the informal information evenings through an acquaintance. After attending this evening I made an appointment for a preliminary examination. All options have been discussed in detail, including any risks. The employees took their time for me and answered any questions I had in detail. I now have conversion lenses and wake up very happy every morning by being able to look straight away without having to look for glasses on the bedside table first. Dr. Nijs did a great job and the rest of the team took very good care of me.
If you still have doubts, I can highly recommend OAMM!

Not only a successful ICL implantation performed on 12/14 by Dr. Nijs determines the score that I want to assign to this well-known ophthalmologist practice. My twin brother and I, born prematurely in the 80's, needed a lot of ophthalmic care. My strong myopia is being monitored accurately and with a lot of time and patience to this day. My parents also received the necessary support and guidance at the time. I have been able to lead a life as normal as possible thanks to the concerns of the various doctors and optometrists in this practice. I was able to fulfill many of my ambitions. The ophthalmic care and follow-up offered here transcends a rather routine approach to patients. The case I presented was complex. Still, without exception, I was always welcomed and received with great involvement.

The arrangement regarding the recent ICL implantation was performed excellently. Even if I got the good news that I could have an operation earlier. I was relieved of having to schedule a consultation with the anesthetist and informing me about the location of the planned procedure.

Two years ago a perfect treatment! My vision has become so fantastic (120% on optometry) and has remained so during that time, very clear information is given, the risk is astronomically low (ICL treatment), and the staff and especially the doctor are very involved, correct and friendly. Nothing but praise, and I always recommend this association in my circle of knowledge!

As a young person with glaucoma and cataracts, I was very well received by a very professional team! They take the time to help you as best they can and always reassure you. After each operation, they closely monitor you and adjust the treatment if necessary!

After years of small imbalance between my left and right eye, I decided I wanted to do something about this. I had myopia on my left eye with diopter -1 while my right eye was fine. However, I did not see glasses or lenses and quickly came out with refractive surgery, including the laser eye surgery.

I had already looked up and read a lot of information online before I made an appointment with OAMM. For example, I had gone through all the different laser methods and I had already made up my mind which treatment I wanted to go for.

When I came to the first - completely free - intake interview, I am happy that the explanation started again from scratch and that the pros and cons of each treatment were explained correctly. For example, because of my small deviation, the LASIK method was recommended over the more expensive SMILE method that I first wanted to undergo.

Shortly afterwards the preliminary examination followed where my eye was fully analyzed and measured. When it turned out that my eye was extremely suitable for the laser treatment, it was also planned.

The laser treatment was carried out by doctor Nijs and went very smoothly. Doctor Nijs coached me through the laser, so to speak, and I never felt pain or fright.

Even afterwards I did not feel any pain, except for a slight burning sensation until the day after the treatment. For this, drops were prescribed that also worked well.

The day after the treatment I saw very well and sharply through my left eye. All I could notice were circles of light around light sources and that I had a red eye, but on the first check-up (day after treatment) I was told that this would disappear by itself; this is also correct.

Now, a month after my treatment, I no longer suffer from circles of light, the redness has disappeared and I have a perfect view.

I recommend this practice to everyone and I am always open to share my experience in a personal conversation with people who have questions or doubts.

Finally, I want to thank this doctor Nijs and the assisting team again for the good care!

Been to maasmechelen for a cataract operation. From first consultation to follow-up checks, a very reliable feeling. On October 13, my wife did a laser treatment on both eyes. All the staff were super friendly, both during the preliminary examinations and during the operation itself. Good explanation and aftercare. Very professional. Definitely worth it.
