This is false advertising and poor customer service at its finest. Do not use this company to book hotels unless you want to spend 10x the time it would take you to book on your own. After attempting to book a room for a trade show myself I received a call from Onpeak saying I needed to call the hotel and revive my credit card information. Since I was traveling I did not get to do this and my reservation was cancelled. BUT Onpeak had no record of it being cancelled in their system, thankfully I called the hotel directly and was told on the phone I could re book directly through then for the same rate... unfortunately I declined thinking I could go back to Onpeak. I logged on to Onpeak s website and was happy to find a much closer hotel to the trade show and went through the steps to book only to be met with an error twice. The second time I made sure all info was correct and still I got the error and no confirmation email. I then tried to call Onpeak, forget that! They don t answer the phone ever! You have to sit there for 10 minutes while the phone rings until your finally pushed over to a call back system. After calling me back I informed the representative of the booking trouble and asked if she could book a room over the phone, I was happy when she said yes but should have known it would end in disaster. After talking to her for 10 minutes and giving her all of my billing and credit card info she said someone else took the last room available. How does there system not out the room on hold when you are entering billing info?! I then had to have her book me for just one night which was all that was available. She did so, again taking at least 10 minutes to do so and I received my confirmation email. I got to my trade show and checked in for the evening and to my surprise woke up with an alert from my creditor about possible fraud. Looks like Onpeak double booked me in two different hotels for that single night and I was charged for both. I immediately reached out to the other hotel and was told to contact Onpeak. After 3 hours when Onpeak finally opened again no one would answer the phone so I had to agree to call back but I was busy at the trade show I was working. After calling 3 more times throughout the day I sent an email and got an auto response that my issue was very important and someone would respond back within 24 hours. The email I got back was so unapologetic and not helpful in any way, they told me to contact the hotel! Long story because this was a long headache, I ve advised my company and our clients not to use Onpeak and I hope I m helping someone else by leaving this review.

I have had nothing be horrible experiences using onPeak. Year after year we are required to use them for one of my company's largest conferences, and year after year we have extensive issues...the biggest being that they do not reply to E-mails/calls! I've reached out consistently over the past few weeks and have gotten responses to 1 out of 5 inquiries. It is now down to the wire and I am dealing with the hotel directly (which I also had to do last year) and they are low on rooms and may not be able to meet my requests. I also caught one of their customer service reps bad-mouthing my organization last year when a string of E-mails was accidentally forwarded to me. I don't typically write reviews for companies, but this has been such a negative experience that they have pushed me to this point. They are an unnecessary middle man with awful/nonexistent customer service.

onPeak shares individual and personal information of their bookings with external NON-partnering companies. This includes full name, arrival date, departure date, and specific hotel. I wrote their customer service about the issue and have been ignored. Avoid using them at all costs.

I worked for Onpeak. Past tense. Everything people are saying is true. But the employees are treated eve worse. I don't know how they stay in business. John in which one customer talked about is incompetent and oblivious to how business should be ran. I would never use Onpeak and I left because of the way the customers were treated, as well as how employees were treated. But I will tell you, resort fees are never displayed with on peak because the hotel charges these separately and not negotiated in the contract at on peak. That is the only thing I can say, they really don't have control over. Always check with the hotel specifically to confirm resort fees, sometimes they charge it and sometimes they waive it and it's at their discretion. Some of the great reviews from their employees are endorsed but everyone is entitled to their opinion. The attrition and turn over speaks volumes.

onPeak is actually a really nice company to work for. They work hard and play even harder. They value their customers and their employees. They often find different ways to reward their employees. As long as you show up on time to do your work and do a great job, they really don't bother you. This isn't the type of place that hovers over you and monitors your every move. We're adults that were hired to do a job, so get it done the RIGHT way, collect your check and go home.

On the other hand what we do is offer discounted hotel accommodations for people traveling for work mostly or those looking to attend other events for pleasure. Our rates in comparison to web rates offered by hotels are usually the best hands down. We are allotted so many rooms for conferences/events by the hotels and once we're sold out, we're sold out. Like all good deals, they eventually come to an end. Also like anything you're paying for, make sure you read all of the rules/policies. Why spend money on something w/out understanding what you're paying for? Don't understand? Pick up the phone and call and ask us!! We'll do our best to make sure you know and understand what you're getting and how it works. That's what we're there for CUSTOMER SERVICE!! But that's not where our excellent customer service ends. onPeak is just one area of GES. As a whole, we're more than just hotel rooms.

As far as John, he is definitely one of the BEST supervisors/directors I've ever worked with/for. He's very understanding and easy to talk to. In fact, almost everyone I've ever interacted with at this company is very friendly.

The point is you have to see for yourself. I'm not saying all of this because I'm an employee here. I'm saying it because it's true. Everything isn't for everyone and unfortunately not all experiences are great. But not every situation is the same which is why you have to see for yourself. Wanna work here? Great!! Go online and fill out an application!! This company really does value their employees and are all about promoting from within. Want to see what kind of deals we offer? Great!! Go online and check us out!! But if you rather just read the few negative reviews here and not do your own research, fine be gullible. But companies don't continue to grow and be more successful every year doing terrible business.

Horrible experience with onPeak! DO NOT USE THEM! I used them to book my hotel for Magic show in Vegas as Magic has made them their housing partner. The website poorly states the all the fees. My total on my check out cart was $100.88. Upon checking in the hotel, my total became $168 ! I inquired and the hotel said there are daily resort fees which I totally understand but why did onpeak make me agree to a total and even sent me a confirmation of my reservation that shows $100.88 with taxes and fees? They can add taxes and fees but not mention anything nor add resort fees? I wrote several emails to complain, never got an email reply from them. I called them and the director John even told me, you can pay and dispute the charges back to the hotel...WTH?????? The hotel has nothing to do with your website, it is ONPEAK FAULT !!! Do yourself a favor, and just use Expedia or Travelocity for your hotel bookings, at least they display all information appropriately and no hidden fees!!!!! POOR customer service too from ONPEAK! Their own employee even admitted " Maam, your concerns are legitimate. I see your confirmation receipt that shows $100.88. Let me see what happened..." before he passed me on to John, the stupid director that does not even know how to resolve the issue and does not even acknowledge how poor their website presentation is and how misleading it is.

They organized lodging for the last conference I went to in San Diego and it was a disaster. We were put in one hotel, then told the hotel was full and was moved to another one. A couple of weeks later, without even asking, they switched us back to the original hotel after we had already sent payment to the other hotel. It was a nightmare having to sort all of that out. We were told we would have rollaway beds for our rooms with 3 people and a king size bed. The hotel said that OnPeak did not tell them this and they didn't have any rollaway beds. It took us until 11pm the night of check-in to get this all resolved. We were not the only ones with issues, pretty much everyone in our hotel had unfortunate experiences. Awful customer service.

Horrible experience! We booked a hotel for MAGIC in Las Vegas. The description said it was for a 1 king bed room. There is a section where you can make special requests. We called onPeak and asked if there would be an additional charge if we requested a 2-bed room if available. They assured us that if we requested a 2-bed room and one was available, that we would still be charged the rate for the 1 king bed room. Well, onPeak was WRONG! When we checked out, we ended up having to pay additional charges well above the initial quote! No one seemed to care about the mistake and we are now left having to try to come up with the money to pay off the charge.

I have never received worse customer service in my life. During the entire booking process I found this company to be unorganized and unresponsive. The Onpeak representatives appear to be very unprofessional and don t seem to have a large knowledge base for the work they are preforming. I asked multiple times while booking/paying and was assured by a few different Onpeak representatives that this was the final total. Additional charges were incurred and when I approached Onpeak regarding the difference I was largely ignored and dismissed.
I must say, There has been rather poor customer service in all aspects of our dealings with Onpeak from beginning to end. I am hoping we will be able to deal directly with the hotel in the future or the hotel will choose to aline themselves with a more professional performing company that will offer a higher standard for customer service.

Booked a hotel for a conference through them, messed up completely and rather than the rate of $229, they charged us $519. We tried repeatedly to contact them and asked for management to no avail. We sent it to BBB and they responded, dealt with this matter?
We've had no response from them at all, no calls, no emails, no letters.

Similar experience as below, we booked, checked reservation, arrived to be old the special rate hadn't been secured. Half of the week they hadn't booked and we had to change hotels, rates weren't secured. Complete nightmare. Ask for a manager, and are told, "I'm the Supervisor, I'm the highest level at this company"!!??!

I decided I would get ahead of the game and reserve my room for the World of Concrete in August for the upcoming January show. 5 days before the show I logged in to look at my rooms and they were gone. I called in and onPeak told me that they cancelled them because I did not put names on each of the 8 rooms I reserved. It was NOT required in order to place the reservation. I am very unhappy.

If you have the option, Do No Use OnPeak!

Hope 0 stars registers. Trying to do the hotel lottery for ComicCon. We would have been glad to have followed the rules if we had known what they were. Incomplete or after the fact announcements made this experience the worst yet. Granted, a difficult venue, but there is no excuse for the level of incompetence displayed.
