It is good place for anyone that REALLY AND TRULY are in need of their services.

Terrible customer service, employees really need Job training to work with the public...hmmmm

They try to work with you in anyway. But you have to put in the foot work..

Crowded most of the time but they have become way more efficient

There's a reason turn-around in this field is considerable. Being in Onondaga County these people see some of the worst actions by human beings to one another. Eventually these people change fields or burn out completely. But in no way excuses their lack of effort into investigating.

Facts, evidence, witnesses and "direct from the mouth of" is completely irrelevant to these people. They glance over a file and determine they "already know X Y Z" about the case from their "experience", which obviously is negative work experience considering their lack of responsibility to the victims and the authoritative power they have these people will allow a child to continue to be severely neglected and worse just because they dislike someone.

Every "mandated reporter" I've actually spoken to and dealt with has proven to me every one of my claims I've made. I hope Karma is real and the intentional actions and intentional neglect of duty these reporters is borderline criminal in my opinion.

I've yet to see any evidence of a proper investigation ever been conducted for my few reports over the years that absolutely warranted the intervention of CPS in any of the reports I've received direct from NYS. I would love the ability to question the respondents as to why they've openly neglected a proper investigation in submitted paperwork to NYS and lied about what little writings was available that I can prove.

The basement level is always a great place to eat lunch, surf the net with free WiFi, check out your favorite social media sites, email and download videos and music for offline use later

Long waits, irritable workers, very rarely do they like people

Go in for emergency services and was turned down when I'm homeless and unable to save to move due to having a support animal I board while working (costing more than rent every month). But I see people down there with new iPhones getting full benefits from the county continuously when I'm looking for a one time assistance so I won't need it ongoing. The system is screwed up.

Very respectful and if there's a problem they are very professional

Very organized , but the staff is very impolite to the public. So sad because you can't tell a person situation just by looking at outer appearances. Unprofessional attitudes coming from the staff. I witnessed this happened to someone I know who needed services.

I like the consistency with case workers and us clients!

Rude, obnoxious, holier than you attitude. No interest in actually helping anyone. Angry at the job they chose apparently.

Having to deal with all different walks of life in there I can see why some staff are a little rough on the edges. but this is a public assistance building it's going to be a long wait so prepare yourself bring a book bring a game to play.. the earlier you come the better !!

On this trip it was in regards to general questions and I was happy with the outcome.

Treat people so cruel and very and insensitive to people in need .

I had to take of business at Dept of Social Service with Food Stamp and wages.

Parking is atrocious. We drove in circles for at least 40 minutes.

Don't like going to this building under any circumstances.

Be alright if they do what their suppose to do when they say they going to (come pick up all the leaves before the leaves clog up all the sewer drains

The court told me to go report, and the place is closed. I wasted $38 round trip with an Uber driver, for no reason.

Go alot to child support the people in office are great very friendly and helpful never had a issue with this place or the workers

Wait time and disrespect level from workers there is not acceptable

Waiting is already expected and dreaded at DSS, however, it's even worse yet when you get told to "just call in" after that 2+hours of waiting. The place could run much smoother.

If you are disabled,you can take care of your business online and by phone.

Access is not that easy never no place to park on street have to pay to park in lot. Other than that all offices are in the one bldg or near each other

Sometimes they help you and sometimes they don't. I know that they have very very long lines most of the time and then you have people that are in there sitting there screaming and hollering and just downright me I understand that the workers and stuff need time and you know stuff like that but half the time the workers lie to you half the time there is a lady who is super rude to my mother and basically told her that my disabled brother was that important so it's just depending on who you get. Just be careful because most of the time they don't even really help you they just dismiss it and then continue on about their day they tell you that certain stuff's going to be done a certain day and it never gets done so it's all depending I wouldn't recommend sitting there wouldn't unless you really have to but I also wouldn't recommend calling you to do something because that takes forever and it's easier to go in and get it done because you didn't call and you get in trouble.

They hire people that don't speak english and are racist.

Under construction but there is still space to social distance and enjoy outdoors with a great view of downtown

Place to help in a crisis. Long waiting for service. You might have to return several times to get any assistant.

Hate this place with a passion they treat people horrible and act like people owe them something

It sucked it was very unprofessional how I was treated if I didn't speak English and didn't know any I would have got all the help I need it I couldn't even get food stamps

Sucks law grandens talk to ppl how they wont but if u say something wrong all yhe cops want to come grab you i just dont get it

Hate hate hate this place & i don't get assistance but working as a daycare provider means i may have to go there from time to time & i always leave angry smh. Unprofessional and seemingly uneducated for the most part. Seems like they're there to discourage anyone they speak to.....

Neglect of support to a special needs child who continuously put himself & others around him in danger ( including extreme physical harm) but because it was the child causing the harm, they kept saying what do you want me to do about it ? Thank God the SCSD finally refered him to a facility that is helping him! Shame on you folks.

Friendly staff... very accommodating.. secure facility with plenty of 's.

Very quiet little town with a lot of traditional ways in living, great many old house too.

Denied snap benefits for my Grandaughter who is three years old and has no income! Yet they let her "mother" collect them for the same child that wasn't in her custody for a year!!! Said the mother didn't have to report changes!! Let her recertify and continued them again even after they knew this! Deputy commissioner was no help. Monica Brown! She should be fired!!!

Don't return phone calls and never get the information right the 1st time. It's always a run around and is extra stressful trying to get everything straightened out when it should of been taken care of right the 1st time. I don't know what these people are paid to do because some of them can't even do their job correctly
