About Oncostellae
Oncostellae has been founded in 2013 by a group of researchers (chemists, biochemists and pharmacologists) who have a common track record in developing clinical drug candidates until phase II. Our objective is to discover and develop small molecule drugs for the treatment of cancer by generating pharmaceutical research programs around novel modulators of validated cancer targets like e.g. nuclear receptors and kinases.
The company’s strategy includes running the discovery and development process with limited headcounts and focusing internal activities on project management, medicinal chemistry and in vitro pharmacology. The remaining activities of the R&D process like in vivo pharmacology, toxicology and clinical trials are subcontracted to qualified providers.
The commercial goal is to license a clinical drug candidate including intellectual property and preclinical/clinical data package to a consolidated pharmaceutical or biotechnological company.
