Love love the Spinach and mushroom chicken quesadillas

Great food and drink has come to be expected, but the service was extraordinary tonight! We sat in the bar area and will return double time if we could ensure we had the server we got tonight.

We had 11 orders to go and a few were prepared incorrectly. Things were left off and forgotten. We didnt have time to check each order at pick up so we were trusting everything was correct. It wasnt. My suggestion is the to go orders should be checked and double checked before customer pick up.

food is great but i just ordered an enchilada meal for takeout and they didn t give me the sides... a lot of orders get messed up here

The lunch menu is fantastic and I really like Happy Hour there.
Patty is the best wait person and has been our regular for several years.

This is the BEST On the Border location!! Came here with a friend who was in town visiting, we wanted to get a bite to eat before hitting the shops off of Knox. It's in the heart of the Knox shops and is a great place to enjoy some delicious quesadillas and margaritas! The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the wait is short. The bar area also has a great set up for watching some college football, I would definitely recommend!!

Typical mass market Mexican food, WAY too salty. Margaritas tasteless and bland.

The most horrible service I have ever experienced.

I was apart of a party for a friend s graduation party. The restaurant was empty, but it took long periods of time to get anything including water. Orders and sides were mixed up or not even brought to the table. One member actually sent back her plate because it was not correct and they brought it right back without making the corrections.
When the manager was involved he carried the same bad attitude as the waiter and offered no solutions to the poor service.
Another party came in right across from us..after us and ordered, ate, and left during our time there.
Once tickets were requested the waiter repeated asked what each person had and then still was not able to provide the correct ticket.

We ordered the steak fajita and chicken quesadilla and queso. SO good, the meat was so tender and juicy, every bite.

Don't eat here thier food is a small quality for a expense bowls rip off

Went last week @ 10 p.m. Thank goodness are waiter was nice. Good service.

Great enchiladas and the jalapeno cheddar chicken things were delicious. I also live for chimis

My friend met here and had fajitas for 2.
Delicious! Our waiter was very tolerant of her getting stuck in traffic for half an hour.

The best ever!!! I do not think they show the lime rice on the menu but if you ask for it they will give it to you and it is so delicious you must try I order it every time!!!

This is our typical go to Mexican restaurant for a quick and dependable meal. The past few times we've been in, we've been extremely disappointed in the service we've received...the server had too many tables in her section and was unable to provide us with adequate service. I served myself when it came to getting my own sweetener and napkins. Never received a refill for my drink or salsa. My husband and I always order the guacamole live and the past 2 times, we get it minutes before our meal arrives which doesn't allow enough time to enjoy prior to our main course. Overall disappointing.

Why did I have to wait 10 minutes for a waiter, 20 to get my drink and 25 for my food (also never got my queso I ordered)? & when the waiter finally came, he had a nasty attitude? I wouldn't come here if it was the last one in Texas.

Usual fare for a chain Mexican restaurant. Not very busy or particularly outstanding. But I still enjoy it!

The food was edible,fairly bland, nothin to write home about, prices reasonable. Will not go back.

I walked in one time to partake of their "All the enchiladas you can eat" deal and I must say the food tasted pretty good! No complaints, like I see others have had.

It s been awhile since I ve been here. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised tonight by how great the food is and our server Joseph was absolutely outstanding. The new manager is very hands-on and her excellent communication with staff comes through loud and clear in service, quality of food and happy atmosphere. Great experience and highly recommend.

Great location with great food.

Problem: The waiters suck, quite often. There is no consistency in server knowledge, and server training. Every time I visit this location, I get a different story about what they can, and can't do, what they can/can't accommodate, what they will/won't serve, and etc...

Today, I'll get a mixed drink, served in a HUGE glass. Tomorrow - they'll tell me that mixed drinks are only served in small glasses. One day, my drink will be one price. Tomorrow - the same drink will be a different price. Today, I can get my favorite appetizer, with the appropriate substitutions. Tomorrow - it'll be 'no substitutions allowed'.

My last 2 or 3 waiters were fat, lazy slobs who didn't pay attention to my order, rarely visited my table, and of course... probably expected a nice tip.

(...which they didn't get.)

I've been eating here for years, and the goofy serving has finally bugged me enough to take my $dollars$ elsewhere.

I love OTB, but the service at this location... sucks.

(i'll try again in 2014 - hopefully the current staff will all be gone by then.)

The management for this location is *excellent*... by the way.

It appears that the company is now under new management.

Flavorless, tasteless, watery salsa...

The loss of favored menu items...
(i.e. the OTB layered, skillet 'ultimate loaded' queso)

The elimination of happy hour specials...

And as always, poor service by the staff...

There are few reasons to continue patronage of this establishment.

Chuy's... please don't make the same mistakes.

Great food, very filling. And depending on what you order. Spicy enough to compliment the meal, house taco chips and salsa. That aren't so heavy that it takes away from the main course. But makes the anticipation of what's to come worth while. Enjoy!

Great happy hour prices and our server was awesome! They also have a patio and were happy to have my dog. They brought him out water and were really accommodating.

Went on a Tuesday night at 10pm and were provided the best service! We had the host and bartender serving us, and checking in on us from time to time. Super friendly and welcoming. Hard to find great customer service, but I'm glad there are still workers that can genuinely provide the best experience! Thank you!

On the Border has great food to enjoy with friends and family. Employees are nice as well

Great food. Service started great. Took over 20 min to get ticket after we finished though. Was like she was mad that we had a working client meeting. Sad way to end the visit.

Service is super slow. The quesadillas were sloppy and chips taste bitter. The only positive is their margaritas.

Very well organised and accessible spot. They provide large meals and for inexpensive rates. I liked the meals a lot and the staff were very friendly and informative. Highly recommended.

Food was good. Server was very rude. We were asked to leave before closing time so he could clean his booth and catch the bus. Will never eat there again.

Awesome service. Food was just excellent and for a quick 30 minute lunch I was able to eat fast and have a couple drinks as well. I've always liked On the Border ever since I've moved to Texas.

During this hard time I had to order my mom s birthday lunch to be delivered. I called and spoke to a very nice gentleman and asked him to write happy birthday, Mom on a paper for me and he took the time out of his day to write the sweetest note! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Had lunch today at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and service was fast and accurate. The food was good too bad I was with one of my trainees and couldn't partake in the bar to its fullest extent.

Jordan was our waitress and she did an excellent job serving my mom & I. The food was awesome and it was such a great dining experience that I've had in awhile. I'm still in awe at how delicious the food and dessert was. I'm a new customer and will definitely dine at this location in the near future. Please keep up the good work

Servers are always friendly when we re there and restaurant is clean.

Oh gosh!! Our server Sendy is always on point. No matter if I am dining in or placing a to go order, she s always the person I look for. She knows the menu like the back of her hand and makes the best suggestions. She s the reason I am a loyal customer.

This restaurant has the most motley crue ive ever seen. The little fat mexican bartender was trying to push the young black girl off her job and the little midget mexican was like a little fat mad spoiled brat fighting for his job. I didnt dare eat there , just had a beer and chips after I saw the unprofessionalism of the fat mexican squabbling over who is going to work where. He raised his voice to the young lady .Thats the way of the illegal mexican worker .... trying to make room for his cousins to get a job too.

Took a long time to be greeted. Waitress never gave her name. She did bring one refill to the table, but never asked how my meal was. The restraunt was slow with only 4 tables. Servers and managers seemed very busy and could not handle the front of the house, let alone the back of the house. The food was ok.

Eli is the best bartender in Texas! He always takes good care of me and my girls when we come in for happy hour!!!!

I've been to different OTB and this one is the worst one I have every been to. The waitress was not friendly and she seem to not want to there. When the food came out for our table 2 of the fajitas plates didnt come out sizzling, the sampler and my plate was warm.was told that OTB started serving sides family style for the entrees instead of on your own plate. I won't be coming back to this one but will go back to where I usually go.

Sad to see the restaurant part shut down. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at this location. This restaurant is what changed me into liking Tex-Mex, after arriving from California. Always had fresh food and good service!

We just had cal was her name i think and she was dynamite.she was great with my kid and suggested a wonderful drink and really was in a good mood to be a work.dont see that often in a server it very refreshing.id defiantly come back and dine with her .we went to the one off 30 in arlington.im not sure why it asked me to review on the dallas one

Don t come here for an event .. today, 10/4/17, is National Taco Day(?) and OTB were advertising .50 tacos.

Walked in and first impression: lots of dirty, vacant tables. Hostess told us it ll be a wait, ok great, they must have to clean these tables off.. We decided to wait and was given an option of and requested first available.

Another couple walks in 10 minutes after us, waited 5 minutes and was seated because they wanted the bar .

Well mam, we requested first available.. We should ve asked for a manager, but at that point our experience was ruined.

1 star for the poor, unorganized mgmt at this location tonight. Is it a reflection of day to day? Hope not.

Worst customer service ever!!! Good food bad service. We given the restaurant every opportunity throughout the yrs to fix their service same stuff every time

There has to be a better place you can get margaritas and really greasy mexican food.

I've never been to an On The Border but if they're like this, I won't be coming back. The beans are overly salty and tasted old, the meat that I was served was supposed to be bistek (flank steak) but it was more like they took old meat and compressed it to make a new steak. Odd and flavor less aside from the overwhelming spice the sauce had (and I do love spicy food). Our server was fairly slow and took a while to even get us a refill... and we were her only table. All in all, it wasn't good. If you want Tex-Mex, go somewhere else as this area doesn't have a shortage of restaurants.

Food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Service and energy was a little dull but the grub made up for it. It's in a breast little part of town. Parking is convenient right behind the restaurant and threatens plenty of other things to do within walking distance. Preppy demographic of people live in the area but they are friendly all the same. Thank you on the border.

Omar the bartender is the best he helps the customers and ensured I was satisfied.

Omg!! This is literally my favorite place to come and go after work! Tonight we just wanted some queso & margaritas so we stopped in and let me tell you!!! OMAR WAS AMAZING!! He was very friendly, and accommodating! we ll definitely be back soon!

I long for the days when going to a Mexican restaurant is satisfying. I ha e been to this location before, and it was amazing. This time, was more like going to a cafeteria at an old folks home that served alcoholic beverages.

Worst service. Everytime we go it gets worse, the place was empty but we still couldn't service. Left after 13 min of waiters walking by us and walked across the street to Chuys.
Hostess said thanks for coming.

Great deals great service..... Booths need to be reapolstered

Th service to get seated is ridiculous. Nobody attends you until you literally have to call to get there attention. The rate of service is even worst.

Nice location, and both the server, and manager were very friendly. The food was excellent as well.

One of my wife and I favorite places to go for date night. This day was great. The food was delicious, customer service was second to none, drinks were on point. We just a fantabulous evening.

The electricity is out on the Block today and even this traffic lights my order was not placed through when I called so I had to wait 10 minutes extra but they made up for it. This is great customer service.

It wasn't as great as I thought it was going too be. Being my first time too these location. First of all my waitress didn't introduce herself just sat me down and said that she would be the one waiting on me. After a while I placed my order. When I got my order I was expecting too enjoy it very much unfortunately that was not happening. My rice, and tortillas were undercooked and my waitress didn't make her rounds like the other waitresses that were attending the other customers.

Don't expect refills on your drinks late in the evening. Nachos are horrible. Not just my opinion but the other tables around us we're having the same issues.
