Nice atmosphere and decent sized sports bar on the inside, large deck on the outside which makes this a great summertime spot. Bar still closes at 10 but they're going to stay open later soon. They have around 10 beers on tap, and a good dispensary Oregon's Finest right around the corner!

It's a great Sports Bar TVs everywhere employees are great the food is great I found a great location low sitting on top of the roof nice view and is located in a great location
My friends and I watched "the fight of the century" /*sarcasm*/ here. Although the fight was a huge let-down, On Deck was actually a great place to watch it. The beer was decent (I'm sure many places have a much better selection - given the locale) and the TVs were all positioned where everyone could comfortably watch.
However, the thing that gives it 5 stars in my book were the tater tots. Those things were surprisingly good. They were cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside but not dry on the inside. I had tots at other "fancier" places in town and these were the best.
Attentive service, awesome patio, great TV game management (putting popular games on most viewed TVs) and great food. Definitely my favorite neighborhood sports bar.
The bar itself should have a modern makeover. One of the staff was wiping down some tables with a strong bleach. they shouldn't be spraying toxic chemicals in the dining area. it affects people's respiratory systems & was burning my throat as i was breathing. also, the restrooms smelled like urine. They need to clean it better with safer products & ensure that it has no traces of urine smell. iM not returning until these things improve.
I've been here several times, and have always had a great time. Service has been friendly and quick. Menu is great bar food, including the best nachos I've had in a while. Like the local beers on tap. The outside deck is fantastic in the summer and I've spent many a day hanging out with my friends here. My high school reunion is scheduled here this summer and I can't wait.
Rude staff, bad food. Not sure how much clearer I could be about saying that I don t like IPAs or asking for a citrusy, light beer. You either have something like that or you don t. Don t poor me an IPA after I ve explicitly said I don t like them. When a customer asks for a recommendation and gives you clear guidelines as to their preferences, follow them or just be straight up about not having something they ll like if that s the case. OR if they ve clearly expressed that they didn t like your recommendation and could only get a single sip down, poor the beer out and comp it. My god. Rocket science.
Friendly staff, more than enough HD TVs to cover all games, tasty food, great drinks, affordable prices and easy access just off the streetcar line; just a few reasons five stars are deserved. If you don't believe me, go see for yourself.
My alumni groups have been coming to the On Deck in The Pearl for several years for game viewing and networking. And I've met friends there periodically. So when I decided to do a fun, informal gathering for my birthday, retirement and new business, I thought of this great venue and its many screens, good food and brews, staff and patio. When I discovered that the Red Sox were playing the Cubs at Fenway on the preferred night, the ideal situation became an easy choice. Over three months I worked with Dani to plan it.
When the evening arrived, the weather held up, about 40 people showed up over a few hours, the staff was great, the food was tasty, the pitchers of Oregon brews flowed, and the Red Sox won! What more could I ask for?
Thanks Dani and the On Deck crew. You made a special night memorable.
I see the reviews are good but I still wanted to say that the waitress/bartender that served me did not want to ring my food and drink up during happy hour. It was 5:57pm. Happy hour is 3-6pm. That s the first bartender that was not happy to ring my order in last minute. I was a little unhappy but I still tipped her. Like a gentleman.
Side note the caesar salad was room temp and tasted like straight mayo. Take a look at the pic.
One of my go to sports bars downtown Portland. They open early for football on the weekend with a nice brunch menu. They have the MLB package, plus I like the look and location of the bar.
First, the bar was out of some liquors, so the drink I ordered was not what I would have. The drink I did order didn t warrant the price it terms of quality.
Second, the waitstaff was short or rushed and seemed confused about by our order. Water was only brought when requested.
Third, the deck portion of the bar was overcrowded. Customers were moving chairs in tables without direction to accommodate their various party sizes which made for a very awkward and cramped space. So cramped that I ended up having a negative interaction with another guest.
All in all I think there s a handful of other more welcoming rooftop bars around the city that I would recommend first.
I realized that I have been going to this place for years and I have always been pleased with my experience but never wrote a review. Where do I start?! This place has tons of TVs for sporting events and they are on it when it's game time. Their food and drinks are not only great in taste, their prices are reasonable. The staff is always welcoming and attentive to my need whether it's an order for extra sauce (which I always need!) or a different game on a screen. And that DECK! Summer evenings hear are beautiful and a must!
Amazing place to eat. I recomend to anyone who want to have a good time with family while enjoying sports. Customer service was sublime in creating a great experience.
