Good place to take kids! The imax is cool. But when I went several exhibits were closed. They gave us a pass to come back, nice gesture - but it was too bad because we were looking forward.

OMSI is genuinely incredible. From the nostalgia of coming here as a kid to getting to appreciate it as an adult. This place never ceases to amaze me. Come for the museum, sub tours, movies, planetarium, or the seasonal exhibits they offer. I promise it won't disappoint. It is very kid friendly too, information for adults and interactive learning for the kids, what more could you want?

OMSI is a wonderful place to visit. We decided to see the Starry Night show in the planetarium, which was $6.75 per ticket. The show was fun, the speaker had a nice voice but flubbed a few times. Parking is $5 per vehicle and you pay when you buy tickets, so remember your spot number. We had a lot of fun and want to go see the Dark Universe sometime soon.
Oh, I did peek into the Gingerbread exhibit and it looked pretty boring. There were only giant gingerbread buildings along one side of the wall. I don't know how much tickets are but....

Children and we liked it. The King Tut was first-rate. The only jarring thing was the mis-pronunciation of words by the supposedly expert "virtual guide" narrator. E.g., juLERy instead of jewelry, herETic instead of heretic, and others. Do try to fix this somewhat embarrassing glitch before too many other visitors conclude that we are "hicks".

Was a great venue for a developer conference. The theatre was huge and provided the space and screen for the presentations. Food was tasty, staff friendly. Wish I had more time to actually explore the museum. Gives me an excuse to come back!

Hardly any substance for a museum of its size. If you don't have kids, don't bother getting the regular admission pass since the whole thing is practically a hands-on children's exhibit.

Nothing inside or outside indicates the museum as a children's museum, so it was very disappointing for me.

It was a fun experience. As a teacher, I adored the hands on activities for kids. My husband and I didn't have as much use of them (it was a bit crowded and we didn't want to push kids out of the way) but it was really cool.

Fantastic time for the littles! Very expensive and lots of "extras." Luckily we had a membership from another museum that covered our admission. Spring break was NOT the time to go, very crowded. We will go again but pack a lunch, skip the gift shop and avoid spring break/school holidays.

Great children's museum with actual submarine tour at the dock, snack bar, IMAX theater, gift shop, and varying exhibits. Adults will be interested too. Jet boat ride from the dock is also nice and a little wet.

Exhibits are fun and knowledge-building. A great place! However, the newly updated cafe is severely lacking. Overpriced "more adult" meals that just aren't near as good. The update was a downgrade in food and an upgrade in price. The bar is a nice touch, but bring back the old cafe food!

Seems to be only worth the visit if you have kids or if it is the only science museum you're able to access. Everything seems to be geared towards kids and the uninformed. For those who have even a hobbyist understanding of science and modern industry, there isn't much to learn here. Not enough to see to warrant a second visit. I was pretty disappointed.

Childhood memories of this place... I visited again and it was still super fun to see all the science stuff, animals, gems and experiments. Super kid friendly and has a movie theatre and LARGE game room as well. First stop for me was the room on the right, it has cool science experiments even people who don't like science will love.

Amazing museum for all ages. Kids stuff downstairs, more interesting stuff upstairs. When I went the planetarium was closed and they were between main exhibits, but even then it was an awesome day. Love this place

My son absolutely loved this place, we got here when it opened and stayed until it almost closed and he did different activities almost the whole time. I highly recommend this place if you have children, just maybe in the afternoon if sure g the week as all of the students here on field trips have left for the day.

Very interactive and hands on. Maybe too much so. Exhibits are hampered by their construction and durability, and the remaining ones in full working order seem like parlor tricks sometimes. For the money, it's not much science in comparison to larger run venues, but the atmosphere, volunteers/staff, and mission of the place makes it notable among other science museums. There is a definite bias in their presentation, though.

Oh my goodness!

Oh my goodness!

I lost my phone with my IDs(including irreplaceable old military ID), credit cards, and cash on the submarine. After 48 hours of no luck, I was certain I'd never see any of it again!

5 weeks later I get a phone call from OMSI security, no way! I had my aunt pick it up and lo and behold everything returned in good condition, eeeek so exciting!!

Thank you so much to the staff for their efforts, I can not express my gratitude enough, but I'll be raving about you for my lifetime.

Very cool place to check out too, if you can go during down times, I'm not a fan of big crowds and lines like were at Disneyland or something .

Awesome staff, thank you!!
