First, this hotel is smack dab in the middle of walkable providence. The lobby is a beautifully crafted masterpiece frozen in time from a bygone era.

The hotel staff were very courteous and informative. The valet was very prompt and courteous. The parking options are valet or park in a garage, it was cheaper to just go with the valet.

The room itself was beautiful with a gorgeous view of downtown and providence river. The bathtub was quite large and the amenities were great.

CONS:
We visited around April or May and it was decently warm. We paid the full price of the room. My only complaint about this place was the lack of AC and how uncomfortable the bed and pillows were which is 1/2 the experience. Here is my review from trip advisor copied below.

So, it was really stuffy in the room. There is a temp control unit but it only does heat. Be aware that it will get stuffy and hot in this room. The hotel itself is beautiful and historic. That's where you get the bang for your buck

The pillows suck. I used two and my head fell through like a brick. So my neck hurts this morning. But the hotel is gorgeous and the view is gorgeous. So if your staying be prepared to stay 1940 style with NO AC and the windows don't open.

It's centrally located in downtown and It was super convenient to be able to walk all over and come back when we wanted to.

Valet is 35$ but you get in and out.

I would not stay here again because of the pillows and AC. But I'm glad I did at least once for the beautiful experience.

A great combo of fancy & old fashioned. Super friendly staff. VERY comfy bed & pillows! View is awesome from 16th floor (best at night but didn't get a pic then). Was unhappy that we couldn't control the air system.. it was running non-stop (cool air) which led to a very sore throat & stuffy nose for me. They should definitely be updated and/or cleaned. That's the only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5. Regardless, I live in MA and travel to RI a lot... I would return to the Biltmore

Lovely historic hotel in downtown Providence. Convenient to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only drawback was no air conditioning. Due to the historic nature of the hotel, they either have heat or air depending on the time of the year. I stayed in October and the system had been switched to heat. Had to open the window which being a hotel only opens about 4 not much air but plenty of noise from the city.

Poor accommodations for a hotel at this price.Small cramped bathrooms without a shelf for the soap or shampoo in the shower and no counter space. no air conditioning in the lobby, elevators, Starbucks or restaurant. Nowhere to grab a quick cup of coffee. Had to wait in line for 20 minutes 2 days in a row just for a cup.

Lovely hotel. Rooms have most facilities a person would need and the restaurant downstairs provides excellent food (although the serving time is a bit on the slow side). Unfortunately, there are no packages which include breakfast when you make your booking.

The location is good too as it is an hour drive from Newport and a 10 min walk from the station which can take you into Boston!

This hotel has so much potential but it's just old. Then people next to me watched TV, I heard their TV all night. The bathroom door has to be closed to use the toilet. Location is great but it is lacking at best. I feel like it is remodel from greatness.

Historic and beautiful hotel. Bed and pillows were the comfiest hotel ones Ive slept with. Got a free upgrade. Expect some of the bathroom and hotel features to be a bit old but they've done a nice job renovating and keeping it old school.

Comfortable, well furnished rooms and good customer service. But they keep the building too hot in winter. We had to crack our window to the freezing air outside just to make it cool enough to sleep.

We recently stayed at the Biltmore for our Wedding. We spent two nights in the Noble Suite, which was so beautiful! We had our own terrace, a large living-type room and a bedroom, two bathrooms and plenty of seating for the bridal party, vendors and guests.

The hotel was extremely accommodating to us and our needs. The room was comfortable, beautiful and an excellent value. The hotel is a gorgeous place for a wedding or other large function. I really can't say enough good things about the Biltmore!

This hotel is very classy and well worth the price. There is a ton of staff all ready and waiting to help with any request. The room was wonderful with very cold ac. The bathroom had a stand up shower and a Jacuzzi tub which was a very welcome surprise. We parked in the garage next door but the hotel has valet if preferred. Overall it was a very nice stay and I highly recommend this hotel

There isn't a pool or free breakfast or anything, but the hotel is old school fancy. It's in a great place with great views, and the suites are nice. Beds second to none. Also reasonably priced for one in its class.

There is NO free parking for the guests. Parking charges are $32 for one day.
Room service is pathetic. Our room had no body wash when we checked in. We requested one body wash and the delivery guy was expecting a tip which we didn't give him.
Day 2: we called thrice for dry towels and body wash gel. The delivery guy only hands out towels and when I asked him about body wash, he says I already gave you one and we don't have anymore in the hotel. It's a 16+ floors hotel with more than 20 rooms on each floor and they don't have any body wash.
Simply ridiculous service and the staff is very rude.
Don't go to this place unless you like to pay for every single thing you order from room service even if they are expected to be present in the room when you check-in

It is a lovely old hotel with lots of character. The rooms are updated and luxurious. The restaurant is delicious. My old negative is the beds are very high and a bit difficult to get into if you are shorter.

Horrible hotel. The "free" WI-FI was horrible ended using more data than all three years with my phone plan. Lead to believe that I had to use valet parking when it was not the case at all. Feel like they didn't treat our group well. Food was taken away very quickly and with much noise. I will be voting to hold our New England combined conference somewhere else next time.

Never got service at the Biltmore ' s restaurant. I was wearing a shirt that noted my military service. After checking in with hostess, I waited about 20 minutes, no wait staff came to my table. There were only 12-14 customers for the 3-4 staff. Finally gave up and told hostess who replied with a tepid "Sorry about that". Told hotel front desk clerk who took my room number said she would tell the manager. Five days later, still at hotel and no word from the hotel or manager. I'm eating elsewhere everyday and have told other hotel guests about this total lack of service and respect. Would give this place a zero or minus 5 if I could .

The Graduate Providence is the latest in the Gradu...

The Graduate Providence is the latest in the Graduate chain, which restores grandes dames hotels (in this case the venerable Providence Biltmore) in college towns with delightful decorative flourishes. I've stayed at Graduates in Berkeley, CA and Tempe, AZ, and this is the most formidable entry yet. Our ninth-floor room offers stunning views of the Providence skyline: the Brown campus out one window, the RI statehouse out the other. Only open since April, this hotel has done an admirable job of ironing out the kinks: our AC was nice and cool, and the newly-opened Poindexter cafe off the lobby offers three excellent varieties of iced coffee (try the Japanese variety - you'll thank me!). The head barista explained to me the process by which he developed his coffee recipes - you'll enjoy the results! As at the other Graduates, the staff are friendly and efficient. If you want to support historic preservation and to enjoy a chic hotel stay, pick the Graduate!

The junior suite is spacious with a walk in closet! However one of the air conditioners leaked so every time you opened a blind your foot stepped on a cold soggy rug. The maid service left a little to be desired. After we opened our extra roll of t.p. she didn't leave another extra and we ran out! (There were 3 of us) had to call front desk for more...not cool.

Cool, eclectic, modern but yet retro decor. Very comfortable bedding. Free water. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and for the price you re not going to find nicer. My room was very clean. Graduates are typically in older buildings so sometimes you can see a little wear but truly, a great find!

Nice hotel. I stayed there for two nights when I was coming for an interview in Providence. The suites are really nice and large. The staffs and receptionists are really nice people and helpful. You are in the middle of downtown and there are so many good restaurants in your walking distance. I like this place. Try to get a room in higher floors, then you see a great view of Providence at nights. I wish that I had some pictures to post here for you.

I can't say enough about this hotel. I always stay there when I'm visiting. The beds are heaven and guarantee a good night's sleep. It is truly grand. My only issue is with the accounting department. Go over your bill with a fine tooth comb.

My stay at the Biltmore was great. The valet parking was efficient, front desk check in was pleasant. Thank you Giselle for being so welcoming. And finally, I loved my room. I was visiting family and attending a Waterfire event. The location was perfect for an easy walk to all the activities.
