My 12th year spending 4th of July weekend . Views are spectacular, rooms comfortable and roomy. Service is excellent. Food average and pricy. Remolded with lots of pool area to relax. Many cozy areas to sit outside and relax while enjoying the views of hill county!
$70 per person for Mothers Day brunch is steep. I realized why after arriving and seeing they offered "free" mimosas and bloody mary's. They should have offered a lesser expensive option for non-drinkers like myself. It seemed that there was a lot of information about the event that wasn't shared prior to arriving like the above mentioned alcohol as well as gratuity automatically being added to your bill plus the free valet which was a nice surprise. When we were seated no one ever showed up to fill our water glasses and they were slow to take away used plates. Prior to Omni taking over this resort had brunch every Sunday. Then that stopped. IMO this was the first time they have hosted brunch in a long time. Wish they had talked to me beforehand because I could have told them how to do it better. :-)
This place is so beautiful!! the whole atmosphere is so tranquil! The sceneries were breathtaking...Im really looking forward to be back soon...Remarkable memories
Next to the country club so there are a lot of older aged people! A great place to go for a get away! They have amazing pools (One indoor and outdoor) & an amazing jacuzzi! The food is not the best, esp. the sea food. But besides that the location is great, relaxing & the resort/view is beautiful!
Very posh resort. Stayed in a newly constructed tower with great decor. Food and drinks were all good, and they treated us very well.
Our family had a very fun & relaxing time during our stay. We'll definitely chime back again.
Was in town for a night an decided to stay over. A great resort/golf/hotel location and well kept. Right in Austin but the Barton Creek area nestled into the hills and valley. Easy access off 360. The property was well kept and managed. The people and staff very friendly. It was right after Christmas in 2020 (midst Covid) and it was operating well and managing to keep everything safe and clean. Definitely recommend if in the area. Large conference facilities for weddings and gatherings and has an unique room which is glass all around. Very suitable for spring/fall weddings.
Best resort in Texas. Views are spectacular; restaurants from all types and feels. Wonderful staff and hospitality. Pools and common areas so clean. Our house was extremely well equipped. Would love to come back.
Location is beautiful, but is far from downtown. About a 30 minute drive away. Extremely nice rooms and service.
Clean and very hospitable staff! They pay great attention to details and they make sure your needs are met. How can you not enjoy your time when the entire staff is taking care of you?
Essentially a typical hotel masquerading as a resort, it can be crowded and busy, which strips away the relaxation factor. On the positive side, the rooms are well-appointed and turned out to be the escape we needed. Furthermore, the staff are downright outstanding.
Excellent resort. Very tasteful rooms and amenities. They handled our conference beautifully with great meeting rooms and catering. Very impressive.
Great hotel that was within a very short drive to downtown Austin, the room was overlooking the valley with a gorgeous view. The grounds featured an amazing pool with fantastic poolside service. Did not get to enjoy all the amenities the hotel had to offer but I enjoyed every one that I did.
Gorgeous property, wonderful accommodations and amazing service!
2nd visit in a month for a work related session- great service, food and environment. Have been here many times before and top notch service always.
We always book this hotel for our parents whenever they visit Austin. The staff is very pleasant and the rooms are nice. On our last visit to the pool it was cloudy and the hot tub had a frog in it that was long dead to the point of extreme bloating. So hotel was great but pool maintenance is definitely not up to par.
This was our third annual golf trip to Barton Creek with another couple and we were so excited to see the renovation. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were nicely redone and the pool area was very nice with the addition of the infinity pool.
We loved the renovation but we were very disappointed with several other aspects of the hotel. When we arrived we were provided with chips and salsa along with three beers in our room, we stayed a total of three nights and not one time did the housekeeping crew remove the used food bowls from our room. The first day our room was not cleaned at all and we had to call the front desk and ask them to come clean, they did come but they just left towels on the vanity they did not clean our room. The next day I saw the cleaning crew at the room next door and asked if she was cleaning our room next, she said no because we were in the room (we were on our way out). I asked her to clean our room and she said once she sees we are in the room she can't come back and clean it. After a long discussion on how much I was paying for the room she did decide to clean after all. In the three nights that we stayed our trash was never emptied in our room.
We had dinner reservations at Bob's Steak and Chop house and when we were getting ready I could not find a blow dryer. I called down to the front desk and they said they are only provided on a per request basis. I asked if they could bring one to the room as soon as possible since we were leaving very soon for dinner. I waited in the room over 20 minutes and they never showed up. I had to go to dinner with wet hair, a blow dryer was in our room when we returned several hours later. The Omni is advertised as a 5 star hotel, I would think a blow dryer would be provided in each room.
My last issue was upon check out. We purchased the golf package and were told all three times we checked into the golf course that it would show up on our bill but be zeroed out. That did not happen, our bill had multiple charges for golf service fees and taxes that did not get zeroed out. We also had charges for room service delivery on our bill that we did not authorize. It took us approximately 20 minutes at check out to get our bill correct.
All in all we had a great time on our long weekend, but we don't feel like this hotel is giving the Omni service they should be giving.
The pools were amazing!! Hot tub very nice! Staff was friendly... I only give 3 for a hotel that was "completely remodeled " the rooms were not at all what I would expect. Old furniture, broken blinds, moldy tub and just dingy!
I went to the 8212 Restaurant for a lunch meeting. The service was good as well as prompt. The deviled egg appetizer was phenomenal and the Cobb salad was well prepared and equally good. The staff was courteous and attentive to our needs without interrupting the flow of our conversation. It was a good atmosphere for a quick business meeting with discussion that wasn't overpowered by too much noise. All in all, this was a nice location for a relaxed afternoon meeting.
a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life
I was there for a conference. We were supposed to have the conference in downtown Austin but had to adjust when the original location canceled on us. Was disappointed how for the resort was from downtown and the fact that most of it was under massive construction. It is likely a very nice spot. The rooms were amazing. Will like to see it after the renovations.
Clean and very hospitable staff! They pay great attention to details and they make sure your needs are met. How can you not enjoy your time when the entire staff is taking care of you?
Beautiful resort. Spotless room. Friendly service.
Golf courses are excellent and usually in very good condition. Only negative is the food. Play golf & then eat at one of the many great restaurants in Austin.
The staff was very friendly, but Melvin the bellhop went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome at this resort. From the time we pulled up to the time we drove off, Melvin provided exceptional service and made sure we felt at home. He was so friendly to my two little boys and they loved seeing him and talking to him. They even wanted to make sure they were able to say bye to him as we were leaving.
Staff was great, location was cool, grounds are beautiful and rooms are spacious (though they can use some updating).
great staff, superb location, meeting rooms, multi use areas, multiple golf courses, trails for the family, 5 swimming pools, tennis courts, outside activities. Very Family friendly. I'm thankful they gave us rooms for Water Mission, Austin Disaster Relief Network, to house Professional Plumbers who are assisting in restoring water back to dwellings where folks have not had water for over 30 days. Omni Resorts is a great organization.
Beautiful resort and conference center, newly renovated, plenty of staff to provide excellent service, outstanding hill country views, comfortable beds.
Visited here with a large group, grounds and golf are great but service is brutal. Sat down at restaurants on two occasions and waited 20-30 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. Waited an additional 20 minutes simply for a cup of coffee and waters. Employees are clueless to operations. Ran out of multiple food and drink menu options. Zero customer service, expected much more for the price. Would not recommend this resort.
We usually stay at Omni Barton Creek and never had a complain. The remodeling just made our stay even better. The new staff was very cordial and high professional, some of them as Jordon and Vicent was very helpful and kind employees when we needed to move rooms for some technical issues. The information desk ladies was very efficient changing our room.
Very clean hotel and happy employees.
I was only here to meet some friends and have some food and drinks from the bar. From what I can tell the place was awesome. It's a little out of the way from downtown Austin but if you're there to relax, golf and spa it up, then you're in good hands.
The Barton Creek Omni was a wonderful hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and excellent food. Beautiful scenery and golf courses surround the resort. The pool and tennis courts could be slightly better maintained, but other than that the Barton Creek resort is well worth the cost.
Beautiful! We watched fireworks and enjoyed time with friends. The staff was wonderful and the setting was perfect.
This was my first visit to the Omni. It is huge and there are many bars and outside gathering places. I was with friends and they took me all over the hotel to see as much of the building as possible. Eventually we wound up in one of the bar/restaurants and had a good meal. All of the staff were friendly and they treated us like royalty. I want to go back!
What can I say, this place is nice. Stayed there twice. 1st time I stayed in the hotel tower and it was very nice. The 2nd time I stayed in one of the cottages. Was it nice. Oh my, just look at my pics. Loved it. Great place. Also, the food (breakfast) at the restaurant was great.
I come here for the great golf courses. 4 really great and challenging courses here. Played 2 courses in February and the fairways and greens are pretty rough. I have played all 4 courses in the summer and they are wonderful. Beautiful vista's! Lots of construction going on right now (Feb 2018) so facilities may be limited. We stayed in the Owners Club Villas which are ideal for a small group. I highly recommend Barton Creek Resort, especially for golf enthusiasts.
They are not ready for guests yet. We didn't even get into our room until 6pm and then everything got worse from there. Too many issues to list. But overall...don't ask us to come, take our money, and then say nothing is ready once we get there. Too bad...waste of a weekend.
Superb! Golf haven. Make the trip, golf 2-3 of these courses. Outskirts of Austin, lots at resort! Good pool.
Very nice and I could see it being a romantic place for couple and a great place to.play gold. Big rooms, excellent service. But as an overnight guest with two children I'd rather have stayed somewhere in town. They were bored. This is definitely an adult place to go.
Awesome place
Love the Infiniti pool over looking the golf course
I play music in the lounge. The staff and patrons are super friendly. I haven't played golf on the course but it looks wonderful.
