Old Westbury Gardens Review

This garden is amazingly beautiful and well groomed. People in the community are nice and friendly. The view is amazing, the mansion is extremely well kept. We got there in late season, some of the flowers are already withered, but still amazing. The pool and fountain are amazing. Planning to come back in Fall for the night lights. Note the garden can be finished in about 1.5 hours, not an all day event, but there are so many beautiful benches to just sit and enjoy.

Attended the rise of the Jack o lanterns. Well kept grounds and safe, family friendly, environment.

It s a good place to relax in nature ...it s perfect for anyone who need to sit down on the grass trying to run from the concrete jungle

Very beautiful house and gardens. Not stroller friendly at all though. Don't even try.

Really nicely preserved mansion with very impressive grounds and history. There are tours in which you can see most of the rooms in the house. There are special seasonal events such as the Christmas tree lighting.

Merch and food accept debit.. Pumkins are enjoyable to look at. Was the first year i went. My 8 year old loved it. Was disappointed that there werent stacks of pumkons to make large picture but was still impressive. It was about 25-30 minutes to walk through. Would be terrible in bad weather.

A great and peaceful place to come when you want to get out of the city to take a breath. Great for family.

Absolutely beautiful place parking fine and went to see the spectacular pumpkin display, they also show how the pumpkins are carved.

Very beautiful place with a huge garden, lakes. The mansion was closed cause of roof renovation.
Thanks to a man in a ticket booth for letting us know about the closed mansion, so we can thing if we still want to visit the place.

When we leaved in NYC we visited that place so often. Incredibly beautiful gardens where you can meet small bunnies, amazing birds, turtles!

Lovely gardens, the problem is that they only allow dogs on dog week, and the house is still not finished (has been down for a while now). But they have a very friendly and helpful staff.

Beautiful arboretum and place to take a walk and explore with or without the kids. Plus pay attention to your calendars they are always putting on great events for the family during the seasons..

After going to this event for the last couple of years , I must say it was very disappointing. We have a party of at least 12 or more. We make it a night, going out to diner first then we go to the event. What a disappointment. We won't be doing that any more. It didn't look as if the grounds were maintained, saw a lot of pumpkins falling off stands , or pumpkins that should of been taken down and replaced. What a diaappointment.

Beautiful place for a date or double date even. I suggest to use your Bank of American (if you have one) to get a Free* entrance, this can be used during the first weekend of every month. Also, if you are a student (college, high school, etc..) you can receive a discount for your entrance.

Beautiful garden and mansion . Actually the mansion is under repair but still a good option to explore in LI.

Rise of the Pumpkins -- must see for adults and kids

Beautiful grounds but for 20 dollars per person it's really overpriced for the limited amount of activities they allow. You need a permit for almost everything and they refuse refunds no matter what. We were inside for literally 2 minutes before we realized drones weren't permitted so we turned right around to leave and we had to take a 40 dollar loss for absolutely nothing.

Historical gardens and manor. The scenery and variety of flowers are amazing. I try to come once a year when the weather is nice. Some people bring lawn chairs with them and relax in the gardens, others walk around and read about the different plant species. The grounds are large for NY and well kept.

Had a great time. Place is HUGE with so much to see.

these are beautiful and historic gardens out in a beautiful long island neighborhood. since it's a museum and participates in bofa museums on us, you can go for free by showing your bank americard on the first weekend of the month. i highly recommend during the warm months, you can picnic on the lawn and there are many seasonal events. I highly recommend to all

I enjoy the scenery, and the estate is beautiful. Especially since it's so close to Queens. Rise of the Jack O Laterns is really nice there as well.

Kimberly DiCiero is the worst person ever to deal with. Instead of making the process of booking photo session easy, she has this mean attitude that makes you not want to even go to this beautiful place to take your wedding pictures. Time to find a replacement for her! I've heard numerous times that she's very unkind person and now I have just experienced it myself!

The garden is in a beautiful situation in a wide green yard. A walk in the afternoon fresh air will pep you up. A great view of a lovely rose garden when you go straight to the pine forest. The staff here are very friendly and like to make sure their guests are comfortable and cosy.

Beautiful day at Old Westbury Gardens when the sun is shining and walking through the gardens. A tour through the house was so interesting to see history.

Lovely park, exceptional facilities. Perfect place to relax and find some peace and quiet. Nice place to get married too.

The grounds are obviously beautiful. The guided tours are excellent. The events they have going on year round provide something for everyone and are well organized. When booking for photos for my wedding I had a little trouble getting in touch with someone but once I was booked and paid everything went smoothly. Highly recommend going there for wedding photos.

Visited for the annual Rise of the Jack'o'lanterns show which is held on the grounds. The gardens are great to visit in spring and fall where you get to enjoy the foliage and plantings. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Very nice peaceful gardens, and an interesting historical house as well. Perfect for a weekend afternoon. There is a pleasant cafeteria in a corner of the gardens with good food. Spend time both inside the house and outside and read up on the history before visiting if possible.

Westbury Garden is Very Very well orginized as thousands of cars pile in for a venue that takes 45 min and runs all day the amount of traffic and parking these guys offer is amazing.

The event itself was really cool and well thought out. Great place and event to spend time with friends, family, coworkers or just someone you met. All staff was very friendly. Both the event and the cafe inside were a bit pricey but hey you only live once. Happy holoween!!!!

Came here to see the car show and boy it was great, even my wife enjoyed it.

Amazing place to spend the day, walking around nature and traveling through history inside the mansion, where they keep a very well maintained and pretty museum (just like a house, with all those luxurious details!). This sweet man in the mansion had great stories to share! Have in mind that entrance fee is per person, not car!

Have spent many lovely afternoons here. The Gardens are wonderful throughout the seasons, but especially so in the Spring when the wisteria is blooming! I wish that they would improve their website and have more high-resolution images of the house and grounds. Also, their social media could be so much better used ... their instagram focuses too much on the visitors and not enough on personifying the brand or high quality "goals" type images that people want to pin/share. + there is ZERO interaction which is a major no-no. Oh and no Pinterest?! No snapchat?! Seriously folks, contact me.

Beautiful gardens. The mansion is interesting too. Lots of beautiful trees, plants and flowers and little places to explore. Highly recommend for families looking for a day out.

Must see. Beautiful historic estate home and gardens open to the public. Meticulously maintained. Gardens are beautiful and must have very knowledgeable staff as the plant combos and health of the garden is excellent. The walled garden flower combos we're especially beautiful even in mid October. Must come back in spring!

This gorgeous building is great to visit around the holidays, where you can take in the decorations while sipping hot cider. Kids can take photos with Santa, too.

The mansion and gardens are always gorgeous. A great place to go for events, like the Scottish Festival every year or they're holiday events. The tour of the inside of the mansion feels like stepping back in a time capsule. It's easy to see why so many people choose this destination for their weddings and special photos!

This is an amazing place to spend the day. It is well worth the $10 to get in!

I come here every year around Christmas time. The grounds and house are so beautiful especially when there's snow on the ground. The house is always decorated for Christmas and they serve cookies and hot apple cider. They also always have someone dressed as santa sitting upstairs in a big chair next to a decorated tree - perfect photo op and there is NEVER a line (like at the mall). Everyone who's come with me really enjoys it including my 3 year old!

The pumpkins were skillfully designed. Lots of pumpkins to view. Well organized. I would recommend.

Tons of open space with nice, well manicured gardens to explore and a quaint little outdoor cafe.

The grounds are well maintained, spacious, and hold a variety of interesting events. Parking is ample, and the greenery of the area makes the gardens quite a beautiful location.

Beautiful gardens! I've only visited here for the Rise of the Jack O' Lanterns events. Attended the event over the past three years and I must say, it has only gotten better!

This place is amazing on a regular visit but now they've turned it into The Rise Of Jack O'Lanterns. It's simply amazing and spectacular fall out doors event.
