Total Health Dental Care is extraordinary and that s an understatement. I always leave with wonderful dental hygiene and there customer service is superb yet personable! I ll travel miles to get my dental work done here. Dr. Pacheco, is amazing, he ll forever be my dentist! Thanks you THDC you will always have my clientele.

The dentist and hygienist understood my unique needs and helped me to develop a treatment plan to take my oral health to a whole new level of wellness. I'm excited! Austin was a wonderful hygienist. Helped to educate me on everything that was going on. I m very anxious at the dentist due to past experiences, but everyone at the office made me feel extremely at ease and comfortable.
Its been over a year since my last dental cleaning, with COVID and Im so glad I got to come back to Total Health Old Oakland. Austin was an amazing dental hygienist. I am a very very nervous dental patient, and as I walked in he told me about how he had already studied my chart and previous procedures. The cleaning itself was gentle and my teeth feel better all ready. I do have to come in for additional cleanings, which would normally freak me out but Austin was very calming and helpful. The receptionist Sarah was super helpful in working with my schedule and insurance to meet my goals. The place was clean, they had an aerosol vacuum and the workers were all very diligent in maintaining covid precautions. Thanks Total!

I went to Total Health Dental Care on Broadway St. because I needed to get my wisdom teeth extracted. I left a $100 deposit and was promised they would call to make an appointment. A month went by and I hadn t heard from them. So I called, multiple times, and each time they told me I had to talk to the manager, Ashley, who apparently doesn t exist or doesn t work there, because after calling four times I was never able to talk to her. She was either sick or on vacation, and never called back. The result is that I went somewhere else to do the treatment, and they promised they would pay back the $100. Last week I called again to hear the same story (I had to wait for Ashley, who was sick), but she hasn t called. While I m going to go hard on them to get back my $100, in the meantime I can tell everybody else to absolutely stay away from this place.
One more story from my single and short visit to their office could help give a better idea. When checking me up for the wisdom teeth treatment, they found a cavity. It was quite deep but by all means standard. They proposed to put a crown, but without a root canal treatment since I didn t need one. I thought, who puts a crown on a live tooth for a trivial cavity? In fact, the following week I went to another dentist to get the cavity fixed, and there were no crowns involved, just a simple procedure. The truth is Total Health Dental Care wanted to sell me a crown at all costs. I have met greedy dentists before, who at least did a good job. At Total Health Dental Care not only are they greedy, they are also straight out incompetent, and absolutely incapable to manage appointments and run a dental center. Do yourselves a favor, take your beautiful smile somewhere else!
They were real nice at first but if you have a busy life they won t accommodate you. They will tell you to go somewhere else that best suits your schedule. Nonetheless they don t understand Bay Area living. If you have a life this is not the dentist for you want to come to.

This dentist office is by far the best dentist office I have ever visited in a long history of dental concerns. Dr. Pacheco is an amazing dentist who has the great opportunity to work with seasoned professionals and considerably assisted by cutting-edge technology. The entire staff are naturally hospitable and are trained to make sure your every desire is anticipated and fulfilled. They offer hot drinks, an ipad for your listening pleasure, an onsite masseuse and bend over to help find a way for you to afford quality superior dentistry. I saw people of all races, ethnic groups and walks-of-life there, all smiling. Nobody seemed to want for anything. Employee relations was of the sort that everybody was covering for everyone else, so that there is no lapse in service anywhere. Most of all, the tell-tale sign, the owner, a seasoned dentist himself, was smiling and relaxing and enjoying the expeditiously well-running operation. Not only could you tell him proud of his people and office, but most happy to serve.
I lucked out finding Total Health Dental. My molar broke and I didn't have a local dentist or dental insurance. The whole experience from my first appointment through getting the needed crown was so positive. They were willing to work with me on everything to assure that I could get the care I needed. Unique. I've already recommended to two friends. Check them out!
Overall my experience at Total Health has been good. The cleanings have been perfect and I have had no issues with my dental work. My only complaint is that it has taken months and multiple follow-up calls to be refunded for up-front payments covered by my insurance. Unfortunately, no one responds to emails and everything needs to be handled by a mysterious billing dept that no one can contact directly except through messages. I'll definitely continue going here but this is the most frustrating part.

Had a great first visit with a Total Health Dental Care! Dr. Pacheco was nice and thorough. The assistants were very congenial and caring. Peter, the hygienist have a great cleaning. Overall, it was an awesome experience.
While the service is great, be sure to get an estimate of costs in advance. While my old dentist's preventive care was free, I ended up having to pay over $400 at THDC even with insurance.
