Beautiful place, great hosts, waitress, I ate indoors and it was grest environment, and outdoors looked like a chill, tranquil place.. must go, and i would revisit, delicious mouth watering hamburgers...!

The tavern steak was awful. I ordered it rare and it came super well done and bland. It was topped with unseasoned cheese, mushroom, and onions with a side of soggy fries. Disappointing experience.

My favorite restaurant!!! Food is always good and people are always friendly. And the desserts...well!!!

Frequent visitor, but this most recent time was a miss. Martinis were ordered dirty and weren't at all. One was made with Citron - very obviously, but the waitress denied it. Long breaks in between waitress visits; through the entire course of dinner she didn't stop and offer refills or additional rounds. Forgot things and had to be sent back repeatedly to complete the order.

Final straw was when she cleared our plates and left. Didn't ask about dessert, didn't ask about another round. We sat for twenty minutes, then finally grabbed her as she went past and asked for the check.

The food was great as always. Ten years ago they didn't have as much competition for decent restaurants near the theaters. Now, they need to up their experience game if they want to stay on top.

Took some of my family out for their birthday here and the food quality was less than average. The only decent thing was their nachos, sad to say. Our service was also terrible. Our server took forever for everything and I would have to remind him to bring out certain thing. Definitely won t be coming back... what happened to the old Rafferty s service and food?! Bring it back!

Always a solid dining experience in the heart of New Brunswick. My son had the 60/20/20 burger and I had the Ahi Tuna bowl. The were happy to swap the carb base for greens which made me very happy. The service was excellent and we grabbed some cookies and cheesecake to go.

Bar food, yeah, so good. I love visiting here. Had a friend come into town and she asked me to take her here again.

Solid food, diverse menu, no issues with one substitution I asked for. Some of the items were a bit pricey and the draft beer was $8 a pop which is a bit steep.

Hmmmm, we had an excellent meal for Lucie's graduation... Soooo good but way too much food ... And don't forget the desserts... Just amazing!!! A real treat

Went out for corned beef and cabbage. Did not disappoint. Sat at the bar and enjoyed the friendly staff and crowd.

While the food isn't always consistent, the ahi salad and shrimp appetizer I had last time were really good!

This restaurant in my opinion is definitely five stars all the way from the service to the food have to say had an absolutely great time with a friend of mine at this restaurant having a good meal and conversation.. so are experience we had an actual waitresses in training so both her and her trainer we re friendly we re on point with everything that we ordered always checking up on us from time to time which made me happy. Have to say the sangria and some of the best sangria that I had outside of the Portuguese restaurant also to thumbs up to the bartender she Did amazing job with that. I also noticed that the restaurant manager was on top of everything the bathrooms were clean the floors were clean tables were getting cleared off the wait was very short food was really good some of it was better than others but that s just a matter of someone s taste but definitely five stars all the way recommend it highly will be back for dinner again soon

Not what it use to be. Saturday night, food took an hour to come out. Asked steak to be cooked medium, came out rare. No longer impressed with this establishment.

Solid American pub-style fare. Big space, but still feels cosy. Always busy with the Rutgers crowd on the weekends.

I tried the baked goods after a night out and they were amazing. All homemade, no artificial ingredients, tastes just like home cooking, next I'll try the food.

Old Man Raffertys is one of the best restaurants in New Brunswick. This is the spot all the Rutgers students take their families when they are in town to visit and they don't have to pay for the meal, ha (we also did a couple birthday celebrations here). The point is you can rely on Old Man to provide a quality meal. Also, DON'T skip the dessert here.

Steak was a bit tough, great if you like the taste of the meat with no other flavors.

Went for dinner, our waitress didn't introduce herself and was a little cold to our humble 4 top. The desserts however are AMAZING.

Food was good. Dessert was even better. We sat inside, but there were many tables out front and along side the restaurant

I asked for regular bread and got something completely different, I also ordered steak well done and they gave it to me medium rare

Delicious Sunday brunch buffet, all you can eat for 25 dollars. Great for me if you re looking to splurge and eat a lot. Alcohol not included.

Enjoyed a nice night out, my daughter a Rutgers student invited us and her boyfriend's parents, the 6 of us really enjoyed the food and night.

I really love this place. The bartenders are really amazing. They gave me options and good assistance to choose good food and drink. This place is really busy on weekends. Food here is very delicious. I recommend this place to have good meetings.

I ate a buffet with a large group and the food was delicious. The carrot cake was awesome! I think the small walk-up store with sidewalk access is a great feature for locals.

We had the tomato basil soup and grilled chicken salad which both were awesome and the burger and fries were really good too. Will visit this establishment again in the near future.

The fish and chips were delicious. It comes with tartar sauce, vinegar, and cole slaw. The tomato basil soup was also delcious.

Good food and atmosphere. I travel from Pennsylvania for the famous brunch.
Unfortunately, the brunch has become too pricey for me. In the future I have brunch at another establishment near my home.
Sadly, this is the death of another family tradition for about 20 years.

This place clearly knows how to serve their customers. Always with a super nice approach. The food is conveniently priced, constantly tasty and neat.

One of the better restaurants in downtown New Brunswick. Hugh menu with a wide variety of choices and basically very fine food. Nice presentation and wide variety of drinks... Could improve desserts with some homemade offerings. The filet mignon with risotto was superb.

Attentive staff and the meals were appropriately priced for what we got. I had the Wagyu Burger with cider brined fries but did NOT like the fries. The texture was "off".

Came here for a birthday brunch. The food was good, service was great, and they didn't rush us. Victoria our server was attentive and brought us refills as if on cue. The mousse was kind of bland but the pastas and meats were delicious. We will definitely go back again.

Great food great service and atmosphere, and wattress

I have had mostly-positive experiences at this establishment over the past 11 years, however last night was my last visit to OMR. When dining out it is possible to make healthy menu choices only if the menu is accurate and truthful. Last night I was served margarine under the guise of butter (the menu stated "butter"). What else is misrepresented in the menu?

I was part of a party of 12. The food was great and the service was excellent.

If you get a chance try the salmon steamed vegetables and potato wedges

Good place for some pub food, drinks and to chill with friends.
