Old Anchor Resort Goa Review

A very huge property in south goa. The best part is the pure veg food they serve, it is very very tasty.

This property is just opposite the beach.

Pure Vegetarian Resort
Situated in a completely peaceful environment, this resort is a very good resort in Goa.
The management is very competent, providing excellent facilities to its guest.

Had a very bad experience here, had to checkout in the morning. The toilet was so dirty, although they told me they had sent someone for sanitization before my check in. The tap wasn't working, the shower would sprinkle water everywhere in the bathroom but on you. Even after complaining they least bothered about it.

It is ok but not an awesome place to stay. In website they have mentioned normal and deluxe rooms but all are looking like normal rooms. Best thing is very near to Cavelossim beach. It is in walkable distance. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant in south Goa. Food is good and prices are reasonable. There is no badminton court and moreover we need to pay for every games/sports except for swimming pool.

Good place if you're going in a group or just need some peace. Especially recommended for vegetarians. Water sports and other activities are much more reasonable than rest of Goa here. Facilities could be improved. One can try the Spa here, therapists are awesome, spa rooms not so great! Service speed is slow, though could be due to the huge area of the property, takes time for anybody to reach your rooms.

Superb. On one side river Sal and Beach on the other. And of course swimming pool inside vast 11 acre property with rennovated Dining hall. Food simply excellent.

In Goa, if you want vegetarian food, then this is the place in South Goa, they also have accommodation and a very good resort

I found it to be unique in the sense that it was the only resort with a pure vegetranian restaurant. I could never have imagined that a beach resort in Goa of all the places will not have any non-vegetarian food to eat.
The food was good while the ambience left much to be desired probably because the main restaurant of the resort was undergoing renovation when I visited towards the end of September 2017.

A great place to holiday. A well designed landscape, keeping in mind the feel of a beach resort. Though, please note that this place serves Pure Vegetarian food.

We were reluctant in the beginning as there were mixed reviews about this place. But we totally enjoyed the stay here. It was our first time in Goa and we have no complaints. Just know that it is a vegetarian place .. good for veggies like me :)

Great place for your honeymoon. Staff is really helpful and the management team takes good care of this huge resort. You have sea across the street and a lake behind the property. Seriously beautiful.

AC wasn't working. I don't know about the Anchor but the hotel is definitely too OLD and outdated.

Good property but not well maintained and service is very poor.

We liked the campus a lot. You can spend half a day inside the resort itself. This resort is in walkable distance to Cavelossim beach and on the other side it has river.
Breakfast was very good.
Vegetarian dinner was also very good.

Best pure veg with Jain Food hotel in Goa. Good hospitality and good interior makes our journey more joyful. Love to visit again.

Shabby rooms, small and old. Looks and feel of exterior is good. Pure veg hotel is speciality but servants Re lil untrained. Location is great.

Good location, family friendly, walking distance from the beach, right next to the back waters/river. Only disadvantage is that it is pure vegetarian and even tea and coffee is made for Russian taste

Best resort with value for money experience. Pure vegetarian.

Its the only resort which serves purely vegetarian food. The place needs to be well maintained to attract people as there are very few options where purely vegetarian food is served.Its situated in south goa near the cavesollim beach( about 100 meters). The service was very slow . We had to wait for an hour after ordering our food and only 3 tables were occupied. Also many other customers were complaining that its the same since 2 days. Also the restrooms are broken and unclean.

The resort is located in Southern Goa , a very quite place admist of the nature. The spread area is great and has great amenities too

Place is good food is also good Rooms are not clean not properly furnished

No power backup , tea kettle kept without tea, coffee bags , no water bottle provided. Mini fdrige not working , Ac 1942 model.

Food and everything was very good except room bit smelly. But after discussion they did what ever was possible. Can visit again and again

As the name itself say.... Old... Its is really old structured.... Not maintained.... Depressing ambience.... You will feel boredom....Will not recommend... 1 star only for the greenery...

First of all resort near cavlossim beach and back side sal river flow. Restaurant is pure veg and all of staffs are very cooperative & behave professionally. Also taxi ride, water sports & boat ride avise facility available. I have stayed 4 days & 5 night with my family and byky old play his best role for success my trip

Unclean rooms. Disorganized. Need upheaval. Ok for groups not family or office trip.

OK 5 for the location and landscaping but 2 for the rooms. I hope the rooms.that we stayed were bad. The bathroom had false ceiling that collected water that dripped from the AC out and the bathroom heater wire was lying.over it.so we had a slight shock if we touch the taps with the heater on. This is a Veg only place their breakfast buffet has a nice spread. Seems to be a place with legacy but needs a bit more of attention.

The maintenance of the room is the worst as well as the service is too slow.

We stayed in this resort for three nights for my son' s wedding on 3rd to 5th January 20 .
We booked fifteen rooms. We had really an amazing experience . Mr. Agrawal the manager and his entire staff are very polite, efficient and courteous to tackle any issue .
The food and hospitality was superb . We strongly recomand anyone who is looking for
the great holidays .

This place is a nightmare!! they don't provide good services!! People are ignorant nd rude!! I left my bag in the room by mistake.. and they didn't even care to send it back!! They charged me extra 2000 bucks for sending that bag with a driver who was already traveling to that place, because he had guests to pick up!! They didn't even returned my calls!! Not at all helpful staff!! M not satisfied with the rooms.. no value for money..!! Food was pathetic!! Specially the kind of snacks they serve at night after 11:30 are horrible!! Seriously don't waste your money on this one. These people don't know how to help their guests!!

Everything about this resort was much more than expected. Excellent staff, great value for money and very good service. Very beautiful resort.

It's nice place. Far away from main Goa city, but if u want to get relax then I recommand it. Beach is 5 min walking distance and nice clean beach.

the Byke Resort in cavelism is an excellent place to be v loved every moment there
it has river sial on one side and the beach on the other side the place is right in the center
very well carved
v were there for more then a week
the staff is very good
the reception staff very receptive n smiling
the resturant too good food very tasty all the staff in the restuarant r very cooperative ready to serve smiling jovial
the rooms very spacious with great view, room service excellent n prompt
the disc is excellent
the whole resort has a positve vibe about it the garden is spacious
Weather was lovely sea beach very clean
