Well we went for the Dino set up they had. Was nothing special. Had very little to display the animals except the gorillas and elephants. Won't go there again. Dallas Zoo was better and i hear Fort Worth is even better .

I always love coming to the zoo. Tickets are online now. $12/person. I was here in 2018 and once again today and they've added so much since then! I highly recommend visiting the zoo! Parakeet feeding is a must! $4/person.
The zoo staff is what can make or break this experience, and they most definitely deliver. I prepaid for my tickets and all the extras, only to have someone get sick and not be able to come at the last minute. I didn't think I'd be able to get a refund, so I didn't ask, but as I was explaining to the woman at check in why I had one too many tickets she told me to go to guest services and they would refund it for me. Well, I'd prepaid for this person not just for admission, but the sea lion presentation (spring for that! It was a blast!), the ride it all bracelet (worth it, especially if you have kids - and don't forget to ride the carousel as many times as you can, its covered with the bracelet), and the giraffe feeding (sounds cool, not worth it though). The woman at the help desk had be refunded for everything in 2 minutes, literally.
The attractions are really put together and interesting, the animals all look healthy and well taken care of. Honestly, a lot of the enclosures are as interesting to look at as the animals are, especially the elephant and rhino areas. As of May 2021, there are a few places under construction and a few areas off limits that I would have loved to explore, like the pachyderm building, but they're working on a huge new exhibit, and if the new elephant enclosure is any indication, its worth it to see what they're coming up with next.
My party consisted of 2 adults and 2 kids (13 yo boy, 9 yo girl) and our saving grace was the 2 backpacks we brought filled with water, kool aid juice coolers and snacks like nacho packs, granola bars, etc. We did stop and have lunch and the food wasn't very good, yet it was pretty expensive. But who goes to the zoo for food, right? If you have to, the waffle fries and chicken strips were not so bad. Next time, we'll bring our own lunch.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and will be going back.
It was a lot of fun! They have military discounts which is very helpful for our large family although they only allowed a military discount for part of the family. The adult and 4 others. They had smashed penny machines all over which was nice and maps and bathrooms. It was well kept and clean, the animals looked healthy and they have well marked paths.
Enjoy the nice days at the Zoo! We had a great time! Didn't bring a picnic lunch this time but we will next time! Enjoyed seeing the animals and the wonderful habitats.. Lots of fun information on the animals very educational! Great play area for the kids. We loved it!!
We've been zoo members for the past 3 years and visit the zoo year round at least once a week. Rain or shine. Even during cold weather, we're there visiting our animal friends. Parking during spring and summer days can be a nightmare, but well worth it once you get inside. The staff is super friendly and so helpful. Even though we know every corner of the zoo, it's fun to stop and talk to some of the staff for inside info on the different animals and their habitats.
It's a nice day trip only complaint is all the extras that you have to pay for. We went with school so I did not research it as much as I normally would. There might be a discount for all the extra things.
Parking gets full really fast. Free parking!
Staff was very friendly.
Food is pretty good but lines are really long we waited 40 mins in line just to order.
Bathrooms are very clean and plenty throughout the zoo.
I love this Zoo! All the animals seem well taken care of and out so you can see them. The enclosure is typical clean and we'll thought out. The only concern I have is some of the buildings are getting a bit worn out. But, it's a great zoo and worth the visit!
Great place for a day visit, most animal exhibits were closed due to winter and remodeling, however there is a lot to see and explore here. Definitely about 2 to 3 hours easy. Keep hydration with you, you'll need it.
Always love the OKC Zoo. One of the best in the country! The new Dino exhibit is so cool. They're so realistic and absolutely enormous! They move and make sounds. The zoo has made so many amazing improvements and are currently constructing a new Asian area and area for the wild dogs. Unfortunately, I was told by staff that October 2021 will begin the removal of the entire aquatic center. As of today, the only part of the center still in operation is the Sea Otter show. The entire lower levels of the aquarium is closed. The employee said she didn't know if it would be rebuilt or if another building would take its place.
